VARIATIONS
Insspiration for my
Variations project
came from the TV
show Westworld.
Pictured in the proj-
ect are Dolores
Abernathy a host in
the park called West-
world.
Early sketches for concept for variations project. I
wanted to do a more surreal image, that could be
viewed at different anggles and perspectives.
First draft sketches
of the project.
I was given the word Language for the variations
project. I went in the direction of text and language
turning into more image based media. I showed this
using Macbeth and emoji’s.
Sketcbook pages of first concepts for
Blackbird
When thinking of the poem 13 Ways of
Looking at a Blackbird one thing came
to mind. I wanted to have the black-
bird represent bad thoughts or nega-
tive emotions that follow the character
throughout their life.
My Mandala is based on the elements water and
earth. With this I came up with the idea of nature
and the flower design.
The geometry we used was
based on a hexagon. It was
placed in the upper right
hand corner of a mantic grid.

The items I chose for
the original scan are :
my keys, I thought they
would give off a good
shape it being long
and flowing. i chose
the headphones fir the
same reason. The film
was to try and show
off the negative photo
and give and intersting
look. With the figdit
spinner I wanted to
play with motion and
test how it would turn
out. The 3D printed
doe was to use the fact
that it was semi-tranlu-
centto use the light of
the scanner. Lasly, the
ID was there to gove it
a personal touch.
