This case presentation describes a 1 year old male patient with cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and tonic seizures. MRI imaging revealed polymicrogyria, an enlarged corpus callosum, and psychomotor retardation. The document reviews different types of lissencephaly and polymicrogyria, abnormalities of the corpus callosum, and the proposed megalencephaly-polymicrogyria-mega corpus callosum syndrome. While some features are consistent with this proposed syndrome, this case also involves enlarged anterior and posterior commisures and requires further research to characterize fully.
