Every year, generationOn Clubs from around the network submit an annual survey reporting on their accomplishments and service over the past year. For 2013-2014, 350 Clubs from our network of over 1,000 registered Clubs submitted the survey. This Yearbook compiles the data from that survey.

After using dialogue to address poverty and build prosperity, residents of the rural town of Wagner, S.D., realized that there was something holding them back from making real progress: they needed to address the long history of racial inequity and tensions between the white people living in the town and the American Indians living nearby.

From helping citizens and volunteers rally within a community post-disaster, to creating a system for better transparency, collaboration, and communication within a community, our speakers told stories of how social media, mobile phones, websites, Front Porch Forum, and more helped their own communities become more engaged.

This is the story of how Thornton Heath is using ABCD to building a stronger more connected community using people power. This process was commissioned by Croydon NHS, and Croydon Local Government, they commissioned Croydon Voluntary Action and Nurture Development.
The most exciting feature of this work is the citizen-led action that is driving the process. 20 connectors (local residents) have been having hundreds of conversations with their neighbours about what they have locally and how they can use what they have to secure what they need.

The Board Network provides nonprofits with
access to graduates of the Board Training
as they seek to add knowledgeable &
productive Board members.

NetworkWilliamsburg charters a Toastmaster’s
Club, Voices of Change, open exclusively
to nonprofit staff to help them improve
their public speaking skills.
NetworkWilliamsburg commissions a study on
the role of social media in our community
and how nonprofits can benefit from
engagement in this ever growing platform.
