Roles and responsibilities
• Network Performance Engineer
- Supervise hardware upgrade activities
- Frequency channel testing and evaluation of results
- Coordination with CRU to upgrade all CPEs before
frequency upgrade
- Identification and rectification of issues faced during
channel testing activity.
- Final frequency upgrade
- Extend support during customer migration
- Optimization activities

- Audit of sites (Soft and hard parameters)
- Identification and rectification of issues
- Extend support during optimization

• NOC
- Soft parameter configuration as recommended by
network performance team
- Soft parameter audit
- Frequency channel testing
- Frequency upgrade
- Identification and rectification of issues
- Extend support during optimization

Technical limitations
• Augmented network noise
– Increase in co-channel interference due to
change in frequency plan (4 frequency to 3
frequency plan)
– Solution: Physical optimization (Azimuth &
Tilting) and IRC enabling (disable CSM)
• Coverage shrinkage
– Compromised coverage area at cell
boundary.
– Solution: Physical optimization (Azimuth,
height, Tilt) and EIRP modification, TE, DL
