6. DATA COLLECTION
• Network basic information collection
• The Engineering survey data of new sites
• The Engineering data of the current
network
• The configuration of NMS data
• Subscriber complain
6
8. Optimization Objectives
• Finding and correcting any existing
problems after site implementation and
integration.
• Meeting the network quality criteria
agreed to the threshold .
• Optimization will be continuous and
iterative process of improving overall
network quality. 8
9. Proposed Methodology
• Problem Analysis
• Conduct Drive Testing
– Subject to investigate (Faulty TRX, Coverage
overlaps, drop calls, capacity & interference
issues)
• Simulate real-time scenario on TEMS
Discovery (after DT)
• Propose solution
9
10. Drive Test purpose
The purpose of the drive test to perform the RF design
verification, identify any coverage and quality problems
to optimize network performance.
At this stage, the main focus is on fundamental end-to-
end service accessibility target (e.g. Calls set up and drop
rates) and on performance targets such as coverage
related targets (such as CPICH RSRP and RSRQ).
For this case it was needed each other from drive test
data collection and also Physical site changes like tilting,
antenna orientation and antenna height. 10
