ENGLISH MASSIVE PROGRAM
FOR ADULT

BACKGROUND
• English Massive (EMAS ) is a program
for studying English in Kediri City.
• The purpose of this program, it is
hoped that Kediri society are able to
master English, especially for
speaking, so they will be ready to face
MEA.
• All of people in Kediri City can join this
program without paying.
• There are three levels in this program.
Children, Teenager, and Adult.
INTRODUCTION
What is
English
massive ?
CON’T
• Some adults who join this program
are housewives. This is to be one of
interesting thing in this program.
• But from all of the learners, the
member of adult class is smaller
than the other classes/ levels.
Usually there will be many adult
learners at the beginning, but soon
their numbers decrease. So the class
is closed early because there are not
any learners anymore.
CON’T
• The schedule of the course is twice
a week and the duration of every
meeting is 90 minutes.
• There is not any special modul for
adult learner, the adult modul is the
same as teenager modul.
CON’T
• To develop a new special modul for
adult .
PURPOSE

• They have low
ability in English.
• Some of them are
difficult to
understand the
materials.
• Their enthusiastic
is low because
they are not
interested to the
materials.

not too active because

and shy to ask
questions, answer
questions or give
opinion.

6. Apa kendala yang anda hadapi selama mengajar di
kelas adult?

dengan kemampuan mereka?
8. Apakah waktu untuk menyampaikan setiap topik
cukup dengan alokasi waktu yang ditentukan?
9. Apakah anda menggunakan media dan metode yang

Almost all of adult learners want to
get longer time to study in every topic,
because they felt difficult to
understand English.
They want a modul/materials that is
appropriate with them.

Necessities
It’s need longer time to study.
They need a new special modul for
them that support and suitable with
their ability.
They also need some new materials
that deals with their daily life. The
example like how to cook, shopping,
time, how to gardening. The collect
info only from adult. It is based on
the result of interviewing

  • 1. ENGLISH MASSIVE PROGRAM FOR ADULT ANIS MA’RIFAH ARJUNINA MAQBULIN ENIS FAIZAH RIZKI AMALIA INTIAS
  • 2. BACKGROUND • English Massive (EMAS ) is a program for studying English in Kediri City. • The purpose of this program, it is hoped that Kediri society are able to master English, especially for speaking, so they will be ready to face MEA. • All of people in Kediri City can join this program without paying. • There are three levels in this program. Children, Teenager, and Adult. INTRODUCTION What is English massive ?
  • 3. CON’T • Some adults who join this program are housewives. This is to be one of interesting thing in this program. • But from all of the learners, the member of adult class is smaller than the other classes/ levels. Usually there will be many adult learners at the beginning, but soon their numbers decrease. So the class is closed early because there are not any learners anymore.
  • 4. CON’T • The schedule of the course is twice a week and the duration of every meeting is 90 minutes. • There is not any special modul for adult learner, the adult modul is the same as teenager modul.
  • 5. CON’T • To develop a new special modul for adult . PURPOSE

Environment Analysis Learners Teachers Situation • They have low ability in English. • Some of them are difficult to understand the materials. • Their enthusiastic is low because they are not interested to the materials. (Observation and interview ) • They use interesting media and learning methods. (observation) • The learning process is not too active because the learners are afraid and shy to ask questions, answer questions or give opinion. (Observation) • The learners thought that the time is too short to cover the topic. ( interview)
  • 8. INTERVIEW Teachers/Tutors Learners 1. Bagaimanakah respond siswa anda terhadap program English massive ? 2. Berapakah jumlah siswa saat pertama kali anda mengajar di kelas dewasa ini ? 3. Berapakah jumlah siswa anda sekarang ? 4. Sudah berapa lamakah kelas anda aktif? 5. Apakah siswa di kelas anda aktif saat pembelajaran? 6. Apa kendala yang anda hadapi selama mengajar di kelas adult? 7. Apakah materi/modul yang anda sampaikan sesuai dengan kemampuan mereka? 8. Apakah waktu untuk menyampaikan setiap topik cukup dengan alokasi waktu yang ditentukan? 9. Apakah anda menggunakan media dan metode yang bervariasi? 10. Apa saran anda terhadap proses pembelajaran di kelas adult? 1. Apakah anda senang dengan program English Massive? 2. Apakah kemampuan Bahasa Inggris anda meningkat? 3. Apa saja kendala yang anda alami selama mengikuti pembelajaran? 4. Apakah anda merasa membutuhkan materi baru? 5. Materi dan proses pembelajaran seperti apa yang anda inginkan?

Program english massive meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris saya. 3. Materi/modul sesuai dengan usia peserta dan juga kebutuhan. 4. Saya mudah memahami materi modul yang diberikan. 5. Materi modul/ materi yang diberikan sudah tersusun dengan sistematis. 6. Saya mengalami kesulitan ketika belajar bahasa inggris di English Massive. 7. Materi yang diberikan terlalu mudah bagi saya. 8. Materi yang diberikan sangat mendukung untuk kegiatan sehari-hari saya. 9. Saya selalu mendiskusikan materi-materi yang diberikan. 10. Saya butuh materi yang sesuai dengan usia/ kebutuhan. 11. Saya butuh materi yang bisa mendukung kegiatan sehari-hari saya. 12. Guru / tutor menggunakan media yang digunakan menarik. 13. Guru/tutor menggunakan gaya / metode belajar yang bervariatif dan menyenangkan 14. Saya mendapatkan tugas tambahan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa inggris 15. Alokasi waktu pertemuan untuk setiap topik terlalu pendek.

  • 13. DATA COLLECTION QUESTIONNAIRE FOR LEARNERS - Giving the questionnare to the students of adult level. - There are 15 people as sample
  • 15. RESULT Lacks The materials in modul are complicated or hard for the adult learners because they use the same modul as teenager learners. The learners feel difficult to understand the materials.
  • 16. RESULT . Wants Almost all of adult learners want to get longer time to study in every topic, because they felt difficult to understand English. They want a modul/materials that is appropriate with them.
  • 17. RESULT Necessities It’s need longer time to study. They need a new special modul for them that support and suitable with their ability. They also need some new materials that deals with their daily life. The example like how to cook, shopping, time, how to gardening. The collect info only from adult. It is based on the result of interviewing
