The report evaluates the National Disaster Resilience Competition's Resilience Academies, which aim to enhance the capacity of various jurisdictions to develop resilience strategies by providing expert knowledge and support. Through interviews with participants, it was found that those attending the academies generally possessed a pre-existing understanding of resilience concepts and gained practical insights during the process, although knowledge retention varied among jurisdictions. Recommendations include expanding outreach to low-resource areas, addressing content gaps, and enhancing the integration of educational materials into local practices.
