TO 01 OCTOBER 2011. THROUGHOUT THIS PERIOD, SERGEANT JUNEAC PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN
AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HIS OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AND
RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF ADDITIONAL DUTY AND EXCELLENCE REMARKABLY INCREASED THE
PERFORMANCE OF HIS SITE IN ALL CAPACITIES. HE MAINTAINED AND CONTROLLED OVER FIVE
HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS OF SECREP EQUIPMENT, ASSISTED IN THE ACCOUNTABILITY AND
CONTROL OF OVER TWELVE HUNDRED ARMORY ITEMS, PROCURED OVER ONE THOUSAND REPAIR
PARTS WORTH OVER FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS, AND ASSISTED OVER TWO HUNDRED
MARINES IN THE PURSUIT OF HIGHER EDUCATION. AS THE SITE'S FUNERAL COORDINATOR, HE
PERSONALLY AND FLAWLESSLY PLANNED AND ENSURED THE EXECUTION OF OVER TWO HUNDRED
EIGHTY FUNERALS FOR FELLOW MARINES AND PARTICIPATED IN FUNERAL DETAILS FOR OVER ONE
HUNDRED TWENTY, EMBODYING THE TRADITION OF 'TAKING CARE OF OUR OWN'. SERGEANT
JUNEACS ENTHUSIASM, PROFESSIONALISM, AND UNWAVERING DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED
GREAT CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE
CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE”
SUMMARY OF ACTION
Sergeant Juneac’s contribution to the units in Indianapolis was exemplary. He executed all tasks
set before him above and beyond all expectations, and relentlessly pursued additional collateral
duties. He truly took ownership of the local community and never ceased involving himself in
community relations and outreach, successfully presenting the Marine Corps in the best light to
the local public. His performance of duty and strong sense of leadership have made him an
invaluable member of this command and for Marine Forces Reserve as a whole. He is
enthusiastically recommended for the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
For professional achievement as the Due and Status File (DASF) Chief, Inspector-Instructor
Staff, Headquarters Battalion, 4th Marine Division from 01 October 2008 to 01 October 2011.
During this period, Sergeant Juneac consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to adapt to a
fast-paced environment. His ability to assimilate rapidly into a unit with a high operational
tempo demonstrated his aggressive nature and firm dedication to duty. His dedication and
commitment to the unit proved to be consistently invaluable. Sergeant Juneac distinguished
himself through the following significant accomplishments:
Upon his arrival to the Inspector-Instructor Staff, Sergeant Juneac was immediately assigned the
demanding duties as the DASF Chief. Although a Communications-Electronics Maintenance
Technician by Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), he quickly became familiar with all
orders and regulations required to establish a functional DASF program. He immediately
established procedures for parts procurement. Throughout his tour he processed the procurement
of over 1000 parts worth over $400,000 for repairs to mission essential equipment for two
separate detachments. Additionally he established Shipping and Receiving procedures for all
parts and equipment being repaired or replaced.

In January 2009, Sergeant Juneac assumed the duties as the Repairable Issue Point (RIP) Non-
Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC). In this capacity he established policies and
procedures in accordance with all orders and directives. He managed over 200 transactions
associated with the Float Block and the RIP. He reorganized the Float Storage in an effort to
establish more efficient management of SECREPS. This included putting all items in inventory
order and disposing of unnecessary items. Additionally he processed over 50 SECREPS for
repair and replacement ensuring the site maintained a readiness rating of over 95%.
He maintained and controlled over $500,000 worth of SECREP equipment with no discrepancies
and conducted quarterly inventories with the main RIP in MCLB Albany, GA. In November
2009, Sergeant Juneac was inspected during the Main RIP assist visit and passed with no
discrepancies. Following this inspection he took on the daunting challenge of processing all
SECREPS and Float assets for retrograde back to the Main RIP. This included the shipment and
tracking off all assets and the processing of over 1 10 transactions to eliminate all assets from the
unit Loaded Unit Balance File (LUBF).
In July 2009, Sergeant Juneac was entrusted with the responsibilities as the unit Purchase
Cardholder. This position of trust required him to purchase all unit essential supplies and pay all
outside vendors totaling over 25,000 in transactions. He procured and accounted for over 400
parts and other items and was required to work closely with the Inspector Instructor for approval
and auditing of all transactions without issue.
During the 2008 and 2009 Toys for Tots campaigns, Sergeant Juneac assisted in the distribution
and collection of over 300 drop boxes throughout 20 counties in central Indiana each year. He
assisted in the sorting and distribution of toys at the storage warehouse and participated in
community relations and distribution events throughout the campaign period. His solid work
ethic aided in the eventual collection and distribution of over 62,000 toys to over 44,000 children
throughout central Indiana.
In June 2009, he assisted in the mobilization of 66 SMCR Marines in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom 9.2 and Operation Enduring Freedom. He personally gave numerous annual training
classes In order to maximize the training time for specific mission sets to be performed during
the deployment
In December 2010, Sergeant Juneac was selected to attend the Non-Commissioned Officer
(NCO) Suicide Prevention Train the Trainer Course. This course was designed to provide NCOs
the skills to spot the signs of possible suicidal issues in Mannes throughout the command.
Following this training Sergeant Juneac provided Suicide Prevention training to all NCOs on the
Staff as well as all SMCR NCOs.
In addition to his already demanding duties, Sergeant Juneac was assigned as the Funeral Honors
Coordinator. In this capacity he worked closely with funeral homes, funeral directors,
Headquarters Marine Corps Casualty Section, along with grieving families In order to properly
coordinate funeral honor details throughout central Indiana. During his assignrnent he personally
assisted in funeral details and coordinated over 280 funerals for fellow Marines and participated
in funeral details for over 120. His ability to balance personnel shortfalls with the needs and

desires of grieving families allowed the unit to properly render honors to fallen Marines without
missing a single funeral.
Assuming yet another collateral duty as the Assistant Armory Custodian , Sergeant Juneac
assisted with the accountability, control, and maintenance of over (1200) armory items, to
Include M16-A4s, M-4 Carbines, M-9 pistols, crew served weapons, bayonets, night-vision
goggles and combat optics. His attention to detail in this critical capacity significantly eased the
burden of the Armory Custodian and prevented the site from shouldering a single point of
failure. Moreover, he developed armory security procedures that brought the site into full
compliance with Marine Corps Armory regulations.
As the sites education officer, Sergeant Juneac went above and beyond in disseminating
educational information and opportunities to all members of the Inspector-Instructor staff as well
as the Select Marine Corps Reserve members of two detachments, facilitating utilization of
benefits for over (200) Marines. He processed all tuition assistance packages, and further set the
example by participating in non-stop off-duty education himself, bettering himself as a
warfighting professional.
In addition to his already demanding duties, Sergeant Juneac volunteered for the Adopt-a-School
program at Clarence Farrington Elementary School where he spoke to and mentored over 20
classrooms, many underprivileged, about our Core Values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment
and how it can be applied in the classroom for academic success. He also served as a Judge for
2009 Anderson High School NJROTC Drill Competition.
