• Colours: most of the people think it refers to the Bavarian sky, but
that is not clear

The colours represent the uniforms of the German revolutionaries in the 19th century:
Black was the colour of the uniform
Red was the colour of the collar and the cuffs

Notiz: After the Second World War Germany had been divided in two parts, West Germany (BRD) and East Germany (DDR). Both of them had their own government and rules. The most of the populace hated this situation. In the DDR the people started a peaceful revulotion. After many years the two states were unified again in the year1990. The populace voted for a new government. Since then Germany had been one nation.
