Immigration in Romania
Immigration
 Immigration represents people’s movement to
another country or another region where they do
not have the status of being natives, having as the
main purpose the intention of settling there
permanently.
 Immigration is determined by a number of
factors, among which it is worth mentioning :
economical thriving, political reasons, family
reasons (for example, family reunification),
running away from conflicts or natural
disasters, or simply the desire to change the
way of living.

after Romania became a European Union Member State, the
effects being observed in the changing of the migratory flows
determined by the way in which the Romanian legislation
has complied with the European Union legislation, thus
leading to a series of consequences that were noticeable
even from the pre-accession period of our country.
