Narrative Essay Conclusion
Writing an essay on the topic of "Narrative Essay Conclusion" can be both challenging and
rewarding. Crafting an effective conclusion for a narrative essay requires careful consideration of
the entire narrative and the message you want to leave with your readers. Summarizing the key
points while leaving a lasting impression is no easy task.
One difficulty lies in striking the right balance between providing closure and leaving room for
contemplation. A conclusion should tie up loose ends, answer lingering questions, and give the
reader a sense of resolution. However, it's essential not to make it overly simplistic or predictable.
Finding that perfect blend of closure and thought-provoking elements can be a delicate process.
Another challenge is avoiding clichГ©s and generic statements. A narrative essay often involves
personal experiences, and it's crucial to offer a conclusion that feels authentic and unique.
Relying on tired expressions or common phrases can undermine the impact of the entire essay.
Additionally, crafting a compelling narrative essay conclusion involves revisiting the central
theme or message of the essay. This means reflecting on the journey presented in the narrative
and distilling its significance. It requires a keen understanding of the overarching narrative arc
and the emotional resonance it carries.
Despite these challenges, writing a captivating conclusion for a narrative essay can be immensely
rewarding. It allows you to leave a lasting impression on your readers, leaving them with
something to ponder or a sense of emotional resonance. A well-crafted conclusion has the power
to elevate the entire essay and make it memorable.
If you find yourself struggling with writing a narrative essay conclusion or any other type of
academic writing, it's worth considering seeking assistance. Professional writing services, such as

Brecht s Theory Of Epic Theatre
Bertolt Brecht was a director and playwright, born on February 10th 1898 in
Augsburg Germany. Throughout his life he disagreed strongly with his father s
bourgeois lifestyle, this may have changed his writing technique and powered his
political views portrayed in his work. Brecht studied medicine in 1918 at Munich
University where he was then appointed a medical orderly during the First World
War. Influenced by the monstrosities war brought to his attention, Brecht wrote many
poems reflecting his experiences as well as producing his first play titled Baal in
1919. Escaping the grip of war, Brecht followed his passion into Bohemian theatre
and literature beginning in Munich where he then travelled to Berlin after. Working
alongside Erwin Piscator, they cemented the epic theatretheory. Epic Theatre, is a
theory that Brecht believed in encouraging the idea that theatre should conform to the
reasoning behind it, instead of focussing on the audience s feelings towards it. Bertolt
Brechts work conformed to his theory of epic theatre. He wanted his work to be a
platform for change and stated how people should hang up their brains with their hats
in the cloakroom . Naturalistic theatre focused on entertainment to captivate the
audience to the extent of forgetting themselves and being involved with the
characters they are watching. Emotions felt and released during theatre such as
crying, is recognised as catharsis. Brecht was completely against cathartic theatre and
believed
Government Business Relations
Government business relations American businesses wield much political powers.
This has been there for quite some time. Prior to the Civil War, some Americans
worried less about the power of businesses. This was partly due to the fact that firms
at this time were relatively small. This restricted the powers of the proprietors to local
political arenas. When multinational corporations emerged in the late 19th Century
the role played by businesses in the political scenes completely changed. Tensions
were exhibited between the nation s central economic institutions and democratic
heritage largely due to industrial capitalism. This has since characterized American
political landscape. No wonder, Americans have had a misconception that money is
only evil when used to buy power but not when it s used to buy political goods
(Huntington, 1987). Economic inequalities are only evil when they are translated
into political inequalities. American businesses in deed have too much political
power. Think of the late 19th century to the beginning of WW1 when power of trusts
dominated American politics. Political commentators contended that in as much as
liberty produced wealth, wealth played a central role in destroying liberty. The
governments of the day partnered with proprietors of great business. This was
exemplified in the undertakings of the Standard Oil back then (Demarest, 1963).
Some commentators argued that politics was a struggle between the robbers and the
robbed. There
Descriptive Essay About Jawbreaker Island
Jawbreaker Island is an island far, far away on a planet called Gummy Mars. This
planet is a periwinkle colored crystal in the sky, 3D shaped obviously. Jawbreaker
Island is on the top of the crystal. You would think that the island is at a slant, but
once you get into the planet, it is a flat field of candyand color. My enormous space
ship was trying to fly back to Earth but it was hacked by the gummy rulers. I can
vividly remember how I enter Gummy Mars. We got to the fortress that made the
crystal invisible to any human eye. The Gummies take their security very serious.
The fortress laid around the planet like a blanket. Having no control of my ship, the
fortresses force slowly gravitated my ship through the darkness of space and around
all gray cracking astroys flowing through time. The fortress was unlocked from the
inside and left a gaping entrance to the periwinkle crystal in the sky.
The atmosphere around the crystal was nothing like the black dullness of the
space that was left behind. Outermost layer of the crystal was like jello, the ship
had to rupture this layer to be in the main world of Gummy Mars. Of course, the
break in the fortress was sealed back up by itself. The first thing I saw was the
blueberry cotton candy clouds, sleekly gliding over Jawbreaker Island. The water
surrounding the mammoth sized marshmallows, chocolates, and jawbreakers that
formed the island, was a concoction of blue raspberry and green lime kool aid. My
ship landed on an unwrapped

reason is that the term Blessed be is a polite way to greet or to say goodbye to

Even with lower grammage paper you can produce better boxes. The compression

It Wasn t Until I
It wasn t until I was a newly hired Youth Minister at just 21, employed full time at a
church in Indiana that I realized, I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. I
went to Bible College, I had the training, but yet, something was missing. After a
few months of frustration, I realized, the problem was, I literally had no idea what
I had gotten myself into. So I began to wrestle with the question, What is ministry?
I had an assumption, but rarely are those well informed, or, at least in my case,
even half accurate. My naivetГ© said if I just taught the bible, and made myself
available to the students, that transformation in their lives would follow. Yet, the
fruit that I was hoping to see, as the first year waned and we moved into our
second, never quite seemed to make itself known. It wasn t long after that
tumultuous first year that I was reading in Ephesians 4, and I came across these
words from verses 11 13, So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the
evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so
that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the
knowledgeof the Son of Godand become mature, attaining to the whole measure of
the fullness of Christ. There before me, was as clear a picture as could be painted
by scripture, for exactly what ministry was. Ministry, at least in my case with the
role that I had been given, could be defined as the process of equipping God s
The Matrix Is An Icon Of Popular Culture Essay
The Matrix is an icon of popular culture, with phrases referring to it permeating our
day to day language. With idioms like Glitch in the matrix and take the red pill
many people make reference to this (at the time) groundbreaking work of fiction in
their everyday lives. However, most are ignorant of the biggest influences on the
franchise as a whole. India, and more specifically Buddhismhas a permeating
influence on the background and the story of The Matrixtrilogy. The inspiration for
this classic trilogy, is derived from a place of enlightenment. In this paper, I will
discuss the instances of potential inspiration from Buddhism and explaining how
they prove that The Matrix has its roots in Buddhism. Throughout the film, there
are several direct parallels to the story of the Buddha as well as some of the
supporting elements drawn from Buddhism. Among the many examples the
foremost that stands out is that of Neo the main character as a parallel of the
Buddha. Others are instances include examples such as the boy with a spoon. I
will discuss the parallels of the Neo s awakening while making some comments on
some of that parallel in the film. First, however I will give a brief synopsis of the
film. The Matrix was a film released in 1999 by the Wachowski Brothersand it
remains a classic even today 15 years later. (IMDb) This cyber punk film was a
blockbuster film based on a myriad of sources, including other stories and shows such
as Neuromancer, Doctor Who and
Identity Development And Alcohol Consumption Essay
The experiment, identity development and alcohol consumption: Current and
retrospective self reports by college students, examines time period of adolescence
that many individuals began to experiment with alcohol. During the same time period
is when adolescents typically began to protract psychological process of forging an
identity. During these years individuals begin to format a sense of self that provides a
direction for their future. The study suggests that alcohol behavior may be a
contributor to this sense of self development. The purpose of this experiment was to
replicate Bishop et al. (1997) study. The Bishop et al. (1997) study found that changes
in consumption of alcohol over time has an effect on identity development.
Individuals that had a definite identity growth reported a lower increase in
consumption opposed to those whose identity development was stable or regressive.

A Human Resource Manager Essay
As a human resource manager, the understanding of the Equal Employment
Opportunity laws are initially overwhelming, due to the amount of information
dedicated to the subject. However, it is vitally important to comprehend and apply
these laws to any organization, in order to avoid claims or litigation. Companies need
to educate management to take reasonable care to prevent and promptly correct
discriminationand establish anti discrimination policies (SHRM, 2014). The EEOC
is not out to get employers, but was established to administer and enforce the Civil
Rights Act at work (Dessler, 2015, p. 28). Successful compliance with EEOC law
ultimately depends on an authentic and dedicated belief in the capabilities and
value of each individual and cultivates a diverse and sincerely non discriminating
workplace. In my view, the core of this and other civil rights law finds its origins in
the biblical worldview, that all men are created equal in the sight of God and are
bestowed with unique gifts and abilities. This paper will review three cases
regarding the laws around National Origin, the Americans with Disabilities Act and
Discrimination/Adverse Impact. These laws point to the gift of God that we live in a
nation dedicated to protecting what God has created.
National Origin In our companies today, we are dealing with a global and diverse
environment, making it important for organizations to have a workforce comprised
of two or more groups of employees with various
Persuasive Essay On Save Animals
Animals are the beginning to the best nerve wrecking filled love you could ever
dream of for your life. Ever since I was a young child, I ve always resonated with
the idea of helping animals more so than anyone and anything else in this world.
My love for animals had begun when I was a mere four years old. I ve always had
pets: dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and much more. To find out more about how
to help adoptable animals in shelters, I contacted Amanda Smasal, a community
outreach coordinator at Wayside Waifs. Wayside Waifs is no kill shelter
located in
Kansas City, Missouri which has adoptable dogs and cats, ready and willing to go
to safe, loving homes. When I first emailed Smasal asking if she would participate
in the interview, I felt overwhelming fear and began to panic about the whole
encounter. The fear of having to ask someone I had never met to talk with me is
something that scares me. Nonetheless, I sent the email asking politely yet
efficiently to see if she would give me a few of her precious minutes to answer
questions about a cause worth fighting for: animal rescue hospitals. She quickly
responded to my quaint email approximately a day later stating she would happily
answer any and all questions I have, significant or insignificant. The questions took
a couple days to figure out. The few days I had to create the questions were filled
with creativity and a tad bit of questionable ideas. The questions I asked her were the
things I would want to
Teen Activist
Have you ever wanted to fight for something you thought was important to you?
Well some people do and those people are called teen activist. Teen activism is
when brave teens fight for what s right in the world. What it takes to be a teen
activist is you have to be brave. You also have to be a leader. Lastly, you definitely
have to have something to fight for. Like Alex libby and Emily Anne Rigal they are

The Decision Tree Method For Intrusion Detection System
Abstract
There are many risks in using the internet irrespective of its popularity. These risks
are network attack, and attack method which vary every day. This research is aim to
compare decision tree method for intrusion detection. As intrusion detection is one of
the major research problem in network security. Tradition intrusion detection system
contain a number of problems, such as low performance, high false negative rate,
low intelligent level. In this research work we compared effectiveness of decision tree
method in Intrusion Detection System. We also compare the detection rate, false
alarm rate for different types of attack.
1.0Background
Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are software or hardware designed to
automatically monitor activities within a network of computers and identify any
security issues . IDS have been around for at least 30 years since increased
enterprise network access produced a new challenge, the need for user access and
monitoring. As day to day operations grew increasingly dependent upon shared use
of information systems, levels of access to these systems and clear visibility into user
activity was required to operate safely and securely.
Many of the initial headway on IDS was made within the U.S. Air Force. In 1980,
James P. Anderson, an innovator of information security and member of the Defense
Science Board Task Force on Computer Security at the U.S. Air Force, produced
Computer Security Threat Monitoring and Surveillance, a

Media Violence
It has been calculated that American kids see about 200,000 acts of violence and
25,000 murders on television by the time they reach age eighteen. (Schleifer 18)
Arrests of people under the age of eighteen for violent crimes rose forty seven
percent from 1988 to 1992. (Miller 174) The American Medical Association
conducted a study that found a direct relationship between viewing and homicide.
(Miller 176) Does this kind of overexposure to violencehave a significant effect on
children and teenagers? The answer is yes! Many reliable sources have proven that
violence in the media has a negative influence in children under the age of eighteen.

The Transcontinental Railroad Act Signed By Pres
In 1860s a great iron band was built between Omaha and San Francisco. That iron
band was the Transcontinental Railroad. An engineering feat many thought was
impossible. Surprisingly, during the carnage of the Civil War it served as a leap of
faith for America that the country will survive. It was fraught with challenges from
the start ranging from political to financial. Yet it s completion started a new pivotal
era for America. The Transcontinental Railroad connected the citizens of America,
linking the East and West Coast in ways not seen at that time.

Financial and political challenges for the railroad began before track was even
laid. Although California dignitaries heralded the railroad would bring great
wealth and prosperity to the state. Some were still reluctant to invest in the Central
Pacific s side of the project. The reluctance of the CPRR funders may have been a
combination of Judah s rocky relationship with the Big Four and the craziness of
the idea itself. How were they to get over the Sierra Nevada? Leland Stanford,
Collis Huntington, Charles Crocker, and Mark Hopkins were California s wealthy
railroad tycoons, commonly known as the Big Four. The Big Four, or The
Associates, [2] as they preferred to be called mistreated Judah and froze him out of
his own company. After his tussle with The Associates, Judah took ill and left
California. He never saw one track of the railroad laid, because he died shortly after
in New York. The Union Pacific side was not without its share of troubles. Mainly
attributed to the fact that the Pacific Railroad Act didn t specify a starting point for
the eastern terminus of the railroad. Thomas Durant, vice president of Union Pacific,
saw this obscurity as a way to cheat the system. In the confusion Durant capitalized
and made thousands of dirty dollars meddling with stocks and moving the starting

The females are in heat for approximately thirty days, and the mating session lasts no
longer than thirty six hours (Davis 2). The males forked penis delivers spermatozoa
to the, females, paired uteri (Merritt 36). Gestation lasts for an average of twelve
days, and produces up to fourteen young (Yahner 12). The young emerge blind,
hairless, and pink weighing approximately one tenth of a gram, and measure around
thirteen millimeters (Merritt 36).
The just born opossums crawl up into the pouch of their mother, with no assistance,
and attach to one of her thirteen nipples (Davis 2). The nipples then enlarge to form a
bulb in the mouth of the young. They will remain attached to the nipple for
approximately two months (Merritt 37). However, the young will remain in the
pouch for seventy to eighty days. After which they will climb out, and onto the
mothers back. While on the mothers back the young will begin to eat solid foods.
They will remain there until they are one hundred days old, when they leave their
mother to become independent (The Georgia).
The next topic for discussion in this paper is ecology. This will include, in order of
discussion: distribution and habitats; food sources; predators and parasites; and lastly,
behavior and habits.

Color Imagery In A Red Dress 1946 By Alice Munro
In A Red Dress 1946 , a short story by Alice Munro, uses the significance of color
imagery throughout the story. The color red represents nonconformity, standing
out or being unique This is because of the narrator s unwillingness to be a unique
girl. However, the color blue represents conformity, being able to blend in with
society, and the ability to be like everyone else due to the narrator s lack of courage
to be unique and to be herself. Both of these colors point out different aspects of the
narrator s inner self and show how much she desires to hide her unique redself and
appear blue. Colorimagery is used throughout the short story, A Red Dress 1946 in
order for the author to demonstrate the inner thoughts of the narrator. In the short
story, A Red Dress 1946 by Alice Munro, Color imagery is used for signifying a
girls point of view of her world and her own self by using the color red which
represents nonconformity. The narrator has only a slight interest in being red, but
she really wants to be blue, just like everyone else. Munro writes, When I was

In a short story by Alice Munro, A Red Dress 1946 , Color Imagery is used to
represent the inner feelings of the narrator and how she wants to be blue. The
narrator s dream is to live a blue life, a life where she is just like everyone else.
Munro writes, when I was unaware of the world s opinion. Now, grown wiser, I

Summary Of Language And Thought By Susanne K. Langer
According to Susanne K. Langer in the essay Language and Thought, an essential
difference between animals and humans is the way humans think in symbols and
signs, instead of just solely relying on signs. Langer suggests that thinking in signs,
which is something both humans and animals share in common, is a process that
leads us to react instinctively to the physical presence of that sign. Signs are very
much a direct cause to a particular effect. It seems that to learn a sign you simply
must be conditioned to respond certain ways to a specific observation. Symbols,
though, are exclusively humandevices of language that provoke thoughts about a
particular thing. The use of symbols has allowed humans to reach much more
complex levels of thought,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What I found interesting was just how many of these tiny visual cues made perfect
sense in my head, and were almost universal in their application. Why do Xs over
the eyes indicate that someone is knocked out or dead? How does the focus on an
empty chair entice us to think about what is missing? Why can we expect a story
to be focusing on a flash back when the color drastically shifts to black and white?
These are the types of visual symbols that we have come to universally understand
on their own. While it can be suggested that these may as well be signs, because
they elicit the same response, keep in mind that the intent of the symbols may be
different depending on the context. Perhaps there is a focus on a chair because the
design of the chair is the punchline to some joke or the answer to a question. The
black and white could of course symbolize a flashback, but it can also be purely for
artistic preference, to suggest a mood shift, or symbolize the color having been
drained from a character s life. Symbols are constantly evolving, and this is why they
cannot be confused with the much more static natured

The History of a Legacy
What is reggae music? Reggae music is a type of music that consists of different
genres of music such as blues and calypso. Reggae music also consists of different
rhythms such as different accents on different beats of the music. Say for instance
you are playing in a four/four time measure. The natural beat for a drummer playing
in this type of particular time measure would be for him to hit his high hat on all 4
beats, his bass foot pedal on one and three, and his snare on two and four. When
playing reggae this particular pattern differs for the drummer. When playing reggae
the drummer has more room to play around with the beat. In this particular setting the
drummer would continue to hit the hi hat on all four beats of the four measure. He
would then start the measure of music by hitting his bass foot ... Show more content

Reggae music consists of a drum set, bongos, bass guitar, electric guitar, and so
much more. A basic drum set for reggae music consists of a snare drum, a hi hat, a
floor tom, a middle tom, and a high tom, a kick bass, a ride cymbal and a crash
symbol. All of these pieces if equipment are used to keep the rhythm throughout the
performance of music. Bongos are a lot like the toms of a drum set, but differ as
far as the material that is used to create the distinct sound of these two instruments.
Toms of a drum set consist of man made material, whereas bongos consist of
drumheads that are made from an animals skin. Bongos also are an advocate to the
rhythmic part of reggae music. The bass guitar is the heartbeat of reggae music.
The bass guitar is a four string or more instrument that is played by hand by
plcking it or consciously striking it. An electric guitar is the exact same thing as a
bass guitar, with the exception of the pitch. A bass guitar has a deep bellowing kind
of a pitch, whereas an electric guitar has more of a high pitch to

These vary greatly in terrain and obstacles and can be found in many places. They
tend to be on the back side of the mountain, but getting to them is where it really
varies. You may take an old hidden ski lift, or come off a main lift to hike up a
steep incline to get to the riskiest slopes. Black diamonds are not for beginners, as
they are almost always steep and quite narrow. You will find obstacles on these,
whether it be rocks or bumps, sharp turns, or through trees. Tree runs could be a
category of their own. The trees could be closely knit, or sparsely placed. It may be
a narrow singular path, or might be untouched completely. It s important to take
turns if you re going with a group of people, which is a smart choice to make sure
you won t get lost on your own. This is because it s quite easy to fall or get stuck, so
you may need help. While all of these are great, my favorite run is a drop off. This
is a vertical drop about five feet down, followed by a steep, powdery, challenging
run. These are ones that you almost always have to hike to, and the most dangerous

Functionalist Perspective On Terrorism
The functionalist perspective is one of the classical paradigms in sociology and was
the prevalent perspective until the 1970s. Functionalism is most closely associated
with Emile Durkheim (often referred to as the founding father of functionalism) but
has also received crucial contributions from other theorists including Talcott Parsons,
Herbert Spencer, and Robert K. Merton. Functionalismoffers a macro approach to
understanding society and views macrostructures as the pillars of social order. The
paradigm views society as a smooth running system with various parts that possess
specific functions, of which can both destroy or maintain social stability. The
concepts of manifest and latent functions uphold an important role in the theory,...

Due to the many institutions already maintaining society s functioning, such as the
criminal justice system, media and public relations, and the education system,
members of society can easily identify the terrorists among them. This can result in
general deterrence where individuals are able to see the consequences of violating
rules, and they will establish themselves in comparison to the terrorists as successful
and worthier. If an individual were to participate in terrorist acts, he or she would be
an agent of change and a threat to the status quo; thus, the vast majority of individuals

Propaganda In Political Theater
The reality of the narrative is irrelevant. It can be completely at odds with the facts.
Writing a story that is connected with no details is boring to a reader, it doesn t
entertain them if it is fully real. For more appeal to a narrative keep it on a simple
road with emotional turns or a dramatic impact that affects the story in a big way.
Misleading information or Propaganda is an issue, although many companies use it
to showcase the products or items they are selling, it gives people false information
about what it is about and what it was made with or of. At times companies even
forget to put correct information on their labels. In theater, a false story will turn
heads but anyone hearing it can think about how they can interpret some of their own
words into it and create even more imprecise rumors. This matters because many
people believe in what is being said or showed and then when they uncover the truth it

An American Tragedy and the Futility of the American
Dream
An American Tragedy is an intriguing, frighteningly realistic journey into the mind
of a murderer. It is a biography of its era. And, it is also historical fiction. But what
makes this novel a classic? While society has changed dramatically since 1925,

br An American Tragedy was based on the infamous Chester Gillette case. Chester
abandoned his missionary parents and wandered, working anywhere he could, until
he met Grace Brown. They had an affair. When she became pregnant, she moved into

the Adirondacks, where he planned to murder her. He caught before he began; he left
her trunk and hat valuable evidence in public places. After registering under an
obvious alias, they went boating, and he drowned her. He fled and stayed at the
Arrowhead Hotel until his arrest three days later. During his trial, Chester said his

he hit her with a tennis racket (which numerous people saw him carry). Chester
was found guilty of first degree murder and electrocuted (newpisgah.keene.edu 1).
Gillette s trial and An American Tragedy have surprising similarities. Chester s

the citizens of France but also the nobles during this time and his ascension to

nobility that Louis would invite to his court in order to maintain a close watch on

how Versailles succeeded in bringing the nobility of France to its halls can be

Salmonella a Food Borne Illness Essay

Question 1: What is the infectious agent (pathogen) that causes this infectious
disease? The infectious agent (pathogen) that causes salmonella is called salmonella
enteriditis. The bacteria is larger than a virus; but, is visible to the eye with the
microscope. It is rod shaped, gram negative, non motile bacteria that does not form
spores. Interestingly enough it communicates to its fellow bacteria via AHL. It
infects the cell, multiplies within it; then, bursts the cell. Special effector protein

Question 3: What is an example of a real life outbreak of this food borne illness in
the United States?
Tainted turkey is the likely source of the latest salmonella outbreak. An antibiotic
resistant strain of salmonella has made its way into at least 26 states, killing one
person and sickening 77. On Wednesday, the U.S. health officials were
investigating the source of the outbreak, which they believe is tied to tainted
ground turkey. The probe so far points to a single facility. The location of which is
being withheld? That has produced three of four salmonella infected ground turkey
samples taken from four stores. The salmonella strain involved worries officials
because it is resistant to common antibiotics, raising the risk of hospitalization and
treatment failure, the CDC says. It is estimated that 1 of 6 Americans or 48 million
people (roughly) get sick from food borne illnesses, 128,000 are hospitalized, and
3,000 die from food borne illnesses. When they find out that someone has come in
contact with a food borne illness they try to alert the rest of the U.S and remove that
food from the selves, so that no one else comes in contact with the infectious disease.

Apple are being restricted by having their music offerings only available on iPod

current traditional method of record labels is that they keep the copyrights of artists

Literary Analysis Of The Hot Zone By Ebola
The Hot Zone is all about the events that surrounded the outbreak of Ebola that
occurred in the 1980s. The story begins when some personnel affiliated with a
laboratory facility that conducts tests on monkeys mishandle the virus, in the process
causing risk to the general population. In the process of containing the disease,
Preston indulges in past similar knowledges in the wake of significant health risk. He
(Preston) has adopted the tone of viral panic, vulnerability and regret to express the
unimaginable suffering of victims that were directly and indirectly affected by Ebola.
The book revolves around a couple of scientists and medical practitioners who
reflect a vast experience in hot agents. It was set in the 1980s and uses the point of
view of the main character called Preston to describe the death and exposure of an
expatriate from France called Monet Charles. In his tone he expressed the prevalent
themes that came out of the storyline which is tortures of the victims, death and the
human fear attached to it. As a matter of fact, the appeal and the power of the
literature are derived from the fear and suspense that the readers evoke as they read
through. The gory and horrific demise of Charles Monet, Peter Cardinal, and Nurse
Mayinga exposes the audience to the edge with respect to the dread and anticipation
of what will ensue in the case that the virus spreads to the general population.
The tone of viral panic and regret are supported by the dominant feeling of
Greek Myth Of Hercules
Hercules
Walt Disney s Hercules would have to be one of the best movie from my
childhood. I didn t realize how many Greek Myths were gathered in this movie. To
see how they re all utilized throughout the children s movie and the Greek myth
stories, was very different. I never really have time to search and learn about my
favorite movie, I just know when I like movies I ll watch them more than once. So
choosing this specific assignment wasn t as hard as I thought it would be. I found a
work of fiction that showed some of the mythological element that we have been over
during class and thus the topic was born.
I wanted to learn more about the storyline of the movie. As a child I always
watched the movie with little knowledge of who was who. Who knew that in the
movie, the little pink sparkling woman was Hercules s mother or that her name
was Hera? While doing research for the movie, I came across a reading that
explains the family tree of the Gods and their children. Weirded out, is one way to
look at what I discovered. Zeus the father of hercules and the king of the Olympian
Gods was married to his sister Hera. Hera and Zeus had several children together but
hercules was not one of them.
In mythology I have come to realized that the most bizarre things can become the
most valued. A lot of cultures use mythology as a way to explain the specific origin
of where and who they came from. Most mythological stories talk about tragedy, love,
triumph and a journey. There are many

convinced that black people were white men s equal, they had to deny it or else
slavery would stop. This is what Frederick Douglas called the evil of slavery in his
narrative when good natured slave owners had to forget their own feelings and to
behave very severely toward them for the continuation of slavery. In treating their
slaves like beasts, the masters became one themselves.
Then, slave owners separated young slaves from their family very early so as to
avoid strong alliances among the slaves which could be a serious threat to their
hold on power. On the contrary, they wanted to develop a sense of individuality
and rivalry among slaves, they were trying to divide them. For example, slave
owners rewarded slaves for giving information on one another. This is how they
partially prevented slaves from forming organized rebellions. There is an example
which shows the efficiency of this practice in Frederick Douglas s narrative since he
is betrayed, probably by one of his closest friend on his first attempt to escape
Walter Neff s The American Hard-Boiled Detective
The American hard boiled detective was an alternative character to the traditional
murder mystery film. This new type of character was ideal for the new noir films
that Hollywood directors were starting to produce. These films introduced audiences
to a new type of dark and cynical world, in which the character needed to add to the
chaos their good or ill intentions. The hard boiled detective has the same patterns of
the classical detective story. It too has the introduction of the detection, the
presentation of crime and investigation, which leads to a solution and or arrest of the
criminal. The hard boiled detective sets out to solve the crime and they figure out that
they must decide between the lawful answer or deal with the internal personal choice
that has arose... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the narration of Walter Neff s dictaphone explaining that he did it for the
money and a woman but he didn t get either. Neff already beaten down sets up the
eventful stages of his downfall and how Phyllis was a part of it. In watching films,
audiences are taught to question a character who is too enamored with someone.
Right away this sends red flags that something isn t quite right. When Phyllis is
first introduced there is an angelic light around her, and the low angel shot shows
how infatuated Neff is watching her walk down the stairs. Presenting Phyllis this
way, sets confusion for the audience. Is she a trapped housewife or a cold blooded
killer? Kathie Moffat much like Phyllis Dietrichson, entrances Jeff with her beauty
and seemingly innocent nature. When Jeff is assigned with the task of finding her
and the money she stole for the gangster, Whit Sterling, he seems alright with
reliving the past he has tried to conceal. His job is to bring Kathie home to Whit.
This all plays in a flashback as Jeff begins to tell pieces of his previous life to Ann,
and the audience gets to hear his ultimate
A Comparative Anlysis of Hershey Company and Tootsie
Roll...
Liquidity Ratios: Overall Tootsie Roll has better liquidity. Liquidity measures the
short term ability to pay obligations as they are expected to be due within the next
year. When working capital is a positive number, there is a higher likelihood that
the company will be able to pay it liabilities. Is this case Tootsie Roll is more likely
to be able to pay their liabilities because they have a positive working capital and
Hershey s is negative. The current ratio indicates the ability to pay on maturing
obligations and to be able to meet unexpected cash needs. Again in this case Tootsie
Roll has a higher probability of being able to pay their obligation and meet their
unexpected cash needs. They have a $2.34:1 ratio... Show more content on

Solvency is the ability to pay interest as it comes due and to repay the face value of
debt at maturity. The only questionable value is Tootsie Roll s their free cash flow.
Debt to total assets ratio measures the percentage of assets financed by creditors
(not stockholders). Debt finance is more risky than equity finance because they
must be paid whether a company is doing well or not. Tootsie Roll has a 28% debt
to total assets ratio while Hershey s is 71% indicating that Hershey is taking a
higher risk. Cash debt coverage ratio indicates the ability to repay liabilities from
cash generated from operations without having to liquidate assets such as property,
plant, and equipment. Although the values of both companies are close, Tootsie
Roll has a higher ability to generate cash from operations to repay liabilities. Times
interest earned ratio shows an indication of a company s ability to meet interest
payments as they come due. Tootsie Roll has a much higher probability of meeting
the interest payments as they are due. Free cash flow is the cash remaining from
operations which indicates the company s ability to generate cash. In this case
Hershey has a much higher free cash flow amount which indicates they have a higher
ability to generate cash. This calls into question Tootsie Rolls ability to repay long
term obligations. Profitability Ratios: Every value in the profitability

Narrative Essay Conclusion

  • 1. Narrative Essay Conclusion Writing an essay on the topic of "Narrative Essay Conclusion" can be both challenging and rewarding. Crafting an effective conclusion for a narrative essay requires careful consideration of the entire narrative and the message you want to leave with your readers. Summarizing the key points while leaving a lasting impression is no easy task. One difficulty lies in striking the right balance between providing closure and leaving room for contemplation. A conclusion should tie up loose ends, answer lingering questions, and give the reader a sense of resolution. However, it's essential not to make it overly simplistic or predictable. Finding that perfect blend of closure and thought-provoking elements can be a delicate process. Another challenge is avoiding clichГ©s and generic statements. A narrative essay often involves personal experiences, and it's crucial to offer a conclusion that feels authentic and unique. Relying on tired expressions or common phrases can undermine the impact of the entire essay. Additionally, crafting a compelling narrative essay conclusion involves revisiting the central theme or message of the essay. This means reflecting on the journey presented in the narrative and distilling its significance. It requires a keen understanding of the overarching narrative arc and the emotional resonance it carries. Despite these challenges, writing a captivating conclusion for a narrative essay can be immensely rewarding. It allows you to leave a lasting impression on your readers, leaving them with something to ponder or a sense of emotional resonance. A well-crafted conclusion has the power to elevate the entire essay and make it memorable. If you find yourself struggling with writing a narrative essay conclusion or any other type of academic writing, it's worth considering seeking assistance. Professional writing services, such as HelpWriting.net, can provide support and guidance in crafting essays that meet your specific needs. These services offer a range of writing help, including essays, research papers, and more, tailored to individual requirements. Narrative Essay ConclusionNarrative Essay Conclusion
  • 2. Brecht s Theory Of Epic Theatre Bertolt Brecht was a director and playwright, born on February 10th 1898 in Augsburg Germany. Throughout his life he disagreed strongly with his father s bourgeois lifestyle, this may have changed his writing technique and powered his political views portrayed in his work. Brecht studied medicine in 1918 at Munich University where he was then appointed a medical orderly during the First World War. Influenced by the monstrosities war brought to his attention, Brecht wrote many poems reflecting his experiences as well as producing his first play titled Baal in 1919. Escaping the grip of war, Brecht followed his passion into Bohemian theatre and literature beginning in Munich where he then travelled to Berlin after. Working alongside Erwin Piscator, they cemented the epic theatretheory. Epic Theatre, is a theory that Brecht believed in encouraging the idea that theatre should conform to the reasoning behind it, instead of focussing on the audience s feelings towards it. Bertolt Brechts work conformed to his theory of epic theatre. He wanted his work to be a platform for change and stated how people should hang up their brains with their hats in the cloakroom . Naturalistic theatre focused on entertainment to captivate the audience to the extent of forgetting themselves and being involved with the characters they are watching. Emotions felt and released during theatre such as crying, is recognised as catharsis. Brecht was completely against cathartic theatre and believed
  • 3. Government Business Relations Government business relations American businesses wield much political powers. This has been there for quite some time. Prior to the Civil War, some Americans worried less about the power of businesses. This was partly due to the fact that firms at this time were relatively small. This restricted the powers of the proprietors to local political arenas. When multinational corporations emerged in the late 19th Century the role played by businesses in the political scenes completely changed. Tensions were exhibited between the nation s central economic institutions and democratic heritage largely due to industrial capitalism. This has since characterized American political landscape. No wonder, Americans have had a misconception that money is only evil when used to buy power but not when it s used to buy political goods (Huntington, 1987). Economic inequalities are only evil when they are translated into political inequalities. American businesses in deed have too much political power. Think of the late 19th century to the beginning of WW1 when power of trusts dominated American politics. Political commentators contended that in as much as liberty produced wealth, wealth played a central role in destroying liberty. The governments of the day partnered with proprietors of great business. This was exemplified in the undertakings of the Standard Oil back then (Demarest, 1963). Some commentators argued that politics was a struggle between the robbers and the robbed. There
  • 4. Descriptive Essay About Jawbreaker Island Jawbreaker Island is an island far, far away on a planet called Gummy Mars. This planet is a periwinkle colored crystal in the sky, 3D shaped obviously. Jawbreaker Island is on the top of the crystal. You would think that the island is at a slant, but once you get into the planet, it is a flat field of candyand color. My enormous space ship was trying to fly back to Earth but it was hacked by the gummy rulers. I can vividly remember how I enter Gummy Mars. We got to the fortress that made the crystal invisible to any human eye. The Gummies take their security very serious. The fortress laid around the planet like a blanket. Having no control of my ship, the fortresses force slowly gravitated my ship through the darkness of space and around all gray cracking astroys flowing through time. The fortress was unlocked from the inside and left a gaping entrance to the periwinkle crystal in the sky. The atmosphere around the crystal was nothing like the black dullness of the space that was left behind. Outermost layer of the crystal was like jello, the ship had to rupture this layer to be in the main world of Gummy Mars. Of course, the break in the fortress was sealed back up by itself. The first thing I saw was the blueberry cotton candy clouds, sleekly gliding over Jawbreaker Island. The water surrounding the mammoth sized marshmallows, chocolates, and jawbreakers that formed the island, was a concoction of blue raspberry and green lime kool aid. My ship landed on an unwrapped
  • 5. Blessed Be Research Paper to me as a way to greet someone, to mean truly, to let it be done also by way of saying hello or to say goodbye to them. The term also means to me something to say during a prayer or a ritual for kindness along with respect. To me, the term Blessed Be also stands for dignity along with to honor. I went to Bible College, I had the training, but yet, something was missing. After a few months of frustration, I realized, the problem was, I literally had no idea what I had gotten myself into. So I began to wrestle with the question, What is ministry? I had an assumption, but rarely are those well informed, or, at least in my case, even half accurate. My naivetГ© said if I just taught the bible, and made myself available to the students, that transformation in their lives would follow. Yet, the fruit that I was hoping to see, as the first year waned and we moved into our second, never quite seemed to make itself known. It wasn t long after that tumultuous first year that I was reading in Ephesians 4, and I came across these words from verses 11 13, So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledgeof the Son of Godand become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. There before me, was as clear a picture as could be painted by scripture, for exactly what ministry was. Ministry, at least in my case with the role that I had been given, could be defined as the process of equipping God s

With idioms like Glitch in the matrix and take the red pill many people make reference to this (at the time) groundbreaking work of fiction in their everyday lives. However, most are ignorant of the biggest influences on the franchise as a whole. India, and more specifically Buddhismhas a permeating influence on the background and the story of The Matrixtrilogy. The inspiration for this classic trilogy, is derived from a place of enlightenment. In this paper, I will discuss the instances of potential inspiration from Buddhism and explaining how they prove that The Matrix has its roots in Buddhism. Throughout the film, there are several direct parallels to the story of the Buddha as well as some of the supporting elements drawn from Buddhism. Among the many examples the foremost that stands out is that of Neo the main character as a parallel of the Buddha. Others are instances include examples such as the boy with a spoon. I will discuss the parallels of the Neo s awakening while making some comments on some of that parallel in the film. First, however I will give a brief synopsis of the film. A Human Resource Manager Essay As a human resource manager, the understanding of the Equal Employment Opportunity laws are initially overwhelming, due to the amount of information dedicated to the subject. However, it is vitally important to comprehend and apply these laws to any organization, in order to avoid claims or litigation. Companies need to educate management to take reasonable care to prevent and promptly correct discriminationand establish anti discrimination policies (SHRM, 2014). The EEOC is not out to get employers, but was established to administer and enforce the Civil Rights Act at work (Dessler, 2015, p. 28). Successful compliance with EEOC law ultimately depends on an authentic and dedicated belief in the capabilities and value of each individual and cultivates a diverse and sincerely non discriminating workplace. In my view, the core of this and other civil rights law finds its origins in the biblical worldview, that all men are created equal in the sight of God and are bestowed with unique gifts and abilities. This paper will review three cases regarding the laws around National Origin, the Americans with Disabilities Act and Discrimination/Adverse Impact. Langer in the essay Language and Thought, an essential difference between animals and humans is the way humans think in symbols and signs, instead of just solely relying on signs. Langer suggests that thinking in signs, which is something both humans and animals share in common, is a process that leads us to react instinctively to the physical presence of that sign. Signs are very much a direct cause to a particular effect. It seems that to learn a sign you simply must be conditioned to respond certain ways to a specific observation. Symbols, though, are exclusively humandevices of language that provoke thoughts about a particular thing. The use of symbols has allowed humans to reach much more complex levels of thought,... Why do Xs over the eyes indicate that someone is knocked out or dead? How does the focus on an empty chair entice us to think about what is missing? Why can we expect a story to be focusing on a flash back when the color drastically shifts to black and white? These are the types of visual symbols that we have come to universally understand on their own. While it can be suggested that these may as well be signs, because they elicit the same response, keep in mind that the intent of the symbols may be different depending on the context. Perhaps there is a focus on a chair because the design of the chair is the punchline to some joke or the answer to a question. The black and white could of course symbolize a flashback, but it can also be purely for artistic preference, to suggest a mood shift, or symbolize the color having been drained from a character s life. Symbols are constantly evolving, and this is why they cannot be confused with the much more static natured

This is what Frederick Douglas called the evil of slavery in his narrative when good natured slave owners had to forget their own feelings and to behave very severely toward them for the continuation of slavery. In treating their slaves like beasts, the masters became one themselves. Then, slave owners separated young slaves from their family very early so as to avoid strong alliances among the slaves which could be a serious threat to their hold on power.
