The Use Of Transformation As Becoming Increasingly Popular...
Introduction
The use of transformation is becoming increasingly popular in use by genetic engineers to bring
new genetic material into a wide range of life forms. In bacterial transformation, DNA (whether
plasmid or chromosomal) is taken from a contributor cell to a beneficiary cell as a section of
exposed DNA. The giver cells should first be lysed to allow the release of the DNA. After
discharge from the contributor cell, huge chromosomal DNA is effectively separated into smaller
parts of exposed DNA. Conversely, the smaller plasmid DNA stays in place as little, roundabout
bits of DNA. Cells equipped for taking up high atomic weight DNA is said to be competent. To
achieve competence experimentally, most bacteria must be be grown and studied under
painstakingly controlled conditions. Nonetheless, individuals from some bacterial genera, for
example, Acinetobacter, are actually very naturally competent.
An arrangement of genes is expressed when Escherichia coli is exposed to 42C heat, which
allows the bacteria to live at said temperature. The heat shock step is vital for the uptake of DNA
and in order to recover from this, the bacterial cells are incubated for a short time with non
selective growth media. Nonetheless, because of the low number of bacterial cells, which contain
the plasmid and the potential for the plasmid not to engender itself in all daughter cells, it is
important to select for bacterial cells which contain the plasmid. This is generally performed with

It s All About that Face
As per the latest data, facelifts made a comeback in 2016 after falling out of the top 5 most
performed cosmetic surgical procedures in 2015.
As per Dr. Johnson, patients are intrigued by the immediate improvements to their faces as
shown by how popular face shade and shape apps and filters have become. Although other
options for facial rejuvenation are available, having a facelift performed by a plastic surgeon that
is board certified will provide dramatic, long term results. This is why facelifts are back in the top
5 of the most performed cosmetic surgical procedures.
Top 5 Minimally Intrusive and Cosmetic Surgical Procedures
Cosmetic surgical procedures for this year overall increased at a rate of 4%, which was slightly
higher when compared to cosmetic procedures that were minimally invasive which grew by 3%.
Although body augmentations are still popular, the face was the focus of 3 of the top 5 cosmetic
surgical procedures.
In 2016, almost 1.8 million cosmetic surgical procedures were carried out and the top 5 included:
1.Breast augmentation (290,467 procedures, an increase of 4 % over 2015)
2.Liposuction (235,237 procedures, an increase of 6 % over 2015)

The Pros And Cons Of Assault Weapons
A new Quinnipiac survey released this week found that there is a strong opposition to ban military
style assault weapons. Among those who oppose the ban are the millennials, The Guardian reported.
Experts believe that the youth favoring the assault weapons may have something to do with the
popularity of first person shooter video games such as Call of Duty. They also cited the increasing
prominence of military style guns in the market.
Majority support ban
While half of millennials are on the pro gun stand, a large majority of Americans back the ban on
the sale of assault weapons. Including the AR 15 style rifles which is the preferred weapon of mass
shooters. Breitbart, a pro Republican publication, pointed out that many of those who are against
the ban were not old enough to vote when the push for the ban happened in the aftermath of the
Sandy Hook Elementary School attack. When the ban expired in 2004,l some of them were still
toddlers.
Other than the millennials, Republicans and registered voters in the 18 34 age bracket are
against the assault weapon ban. But 70 percent of voters over 50 support the ban. An even higher
77 percent from the age group 65 and above are in favor of the ban. The survey was made after the
Texas church attack in October when 59 people were shot and killed.
There is apparently no striking age divide in the poll, David Yamane, a sociologist at the Wake
Forest University in North Carolina, said.
Congress has not renewed the previous federal ban

Marduk s Influence On Greek Mythology
1. In Mesopotamia, Ishtar was used as the word which means goddess. She s a youthful figure, the
goddess of love, also the warlike characteristics. She has no matrimonially connection and was
worshipped as the Venus star.
2. At first, Marduk was equated with the Sumerian healing and incantation god, Asalluhi or with the
son of Enki/Ea, the god of wisdom. Also his emblem means that he may have traits of a god of
irrigation and vegetation. After the Babylon became the empire, Marduk and his wife, Zarpanitum,
became the most important god and goddess in the empire, and he was equated with the Enlil, the
Sumerian king of the gods. The epic Enuma elis, the most important epic about the Marduk,
described that Marduk saved the world from the chaos, created the order of the world through a
heroic battle and created man. The Babylonian kings thought that they were the guardians and
hosted Babylonian New Year s celebration to celebrate Marduk s accomplishment. This Babylonian
mythology influenced Assyrian and Jewish theology.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Diverse goddesses were referred to as Mother. In Greece, Rome and Italy, there were some
goddesses who actually were called mother or mother of gods. However, some goddesses in
Mesopotamia and goddesses who appeared primarily were referred to not as mothers, but as great
sovereign creative, and birth goddesses or the mistresses of fate. Although these deities have
different traits, they are sometimes traced back to the same one figure, the Great Goddess.
Sometimes many figures of mother goddess of diverse religion were looked very similar, because
goddesses figures are very numerous and easy to assimilate. Also there existed a cultic proximity in

History Of Land Protection Regulation On Urban Development...
Farmland protection has become a contentious political issue in China due to the loss of cultivated
land in rapidly growing urban centers. In response to new information about rates of farmland
conversion, the national government placed a national moratorium on arable land conversion in
1997 and imposed stringent regulations on the encroachment of urban land on agricultural lands in
the Land Management Law of 1998 (Lin and Ho 2005). There has been speculation about the
efficacy of the regulations, which are challenging to enforce. Others have expressed concern that
the regulations could severely distort China s most productive urban land markets (Lichtenberg and
Ding 2009, Ding 2003).
This paper estimates the causal effect of the primary farmland protection regulation on urban land
development across China. I use a satellite based data set that measures time varying rates of
agricultural and urban land change before and after the regulatory change in 1998. Satellite data
have played an important role in assessments of farmland loss in China for over a decade, but
have not been used to examine the impact of the regulatory policy. I make use of an important
feature of the regulation s design, the no net loss rule, which provides an arbitrary discontinuity in
the likelihood that the regulation will bind in different provinces. I estimate effects using the
province level as well as across discontinuities at provincial borders. The simultaneity of regulatory
decision making and

themes. Earth, Water, Air, Fire and ether are the five elements of the entire cosmic

Animal Rights Violations
One major issue that is encountered around the United States and the world is the bitter issue of
animal rights violations. Some violations include ignoring the right of hunger and thirst, freedom
from pain and discomfort and freedom to express normal behavior. In addition, people and
organizations need to recognize and prevent abuse and neglect of animals. Zoos force animals to live
in artificial life. This focusing more on the main aspect of Animal Abuse in captivity concerning the
conservation, attitude and post zoo on top of animal breeding in confinement.
Animals that are put in containment such as zoos and safaris live in restraints in an environment
designed for them. Now some may say this is a good thing, but some animals might not be able to
cope with these kinds of environments and it could lead to poor animal welfare and suffering.
Animals that are put in zoos are taken out of their natural habitat and inquired in a small confined
environment. During this procedure animal catchers killed any other animal that got in their way,
including the mothers to take their young. Zoos search for babies because they know that they are
appealing to the public. The animals that had been taken most die on the long journey back to the
zoo.

aggression. There are numerous factors that could lead to this zoo keepers could mix sex groups

another factor of behavioral change. Stress, boredom and depression are the side effects of most
animals in captivity which can lead zoochosis. Some symptoms of zoochosis include bar biting,

Math And Anatomy And Physiology Courses
The sheer amount of terminology and conceptual knowledge required for anatomy and physiology
can be overwhelming for students. Educational games are one approach to reinforce concepts. In
this activity, students work in teams to review anatomy and physiology concepts by creating arrays
of descriptive tiles to define a term. Once guessed, students use their spatial knowledge to locate the
structure or process within the body. The gamechallenges students to think about course
vocabulary in a different way and to pool their knowledge to get their classmates to guess the
words. Pre /post test data reveal that students achieve statistically significant learning gains after
playing the game, and a survey of student perceptions demonstrates that the game is helpful for
learning vocabulary as well as fun to play. The game is easily adaptable for a variety of courses.
Introduction
Anatomy and Physiology courses are dense with terminology. Students struggle learning the
vocabulary in addition to linking structure and function, explaining concepts, and making broader
connections. To help facilitate understanding, instructors often turn to classroom activities that
promote active learning. (Michael 2006, Lujan 2006, Jensen 2015)
Active learning strategies are diverse, but most focus on asking students to reflect on what they
know and apply it through an activity. The rise of flipped and active learning classrooms has
resulted in the development of a vast collection of tools to

and most importantly rhetorical situation. These terms are all interrelated in which you can t fully

The Effect Of Temperature On Ants
Ants are one of the small sized insects from the family of formicidae which consist of high
diversity on earth. They are found everywhere on earth except in Antarctica, and they have
immense impact on terrestrial ecosystems (Heatwole and Muir, 1989). They are vital in moving
and recycling soil and nutrients. They live in colonies ranging from tens to hundreds of millions in
a colony. They communicate and control their colony by chemical messages.
Animals including, birds and insects occupy different temporal niches by being active during
different specific periods of the year and at specific times of the day (Jayatilaka P et al., 2011).
The maintenance of this seasonal and daily activity patterns also allows animals to avoid their
predators, to reduce conflict due to food competitors and to extremely exploit food resources. To
determine suitable times of activity, animals may monitor environmental variables such as light and

The Lynsey Addario photo chosen from her photo story Maternal Mortality, depicts women in
Sierra Leone holding two newly born twins. The newborns, usually considered joys and

Media and Body Image Essay
How do the media influence females? Images of female bodies are everywhere. Women, and
their bodies, sell everything from food to cars. Women s magazines are full of articles urging
women to fit a certain mold. While standing in a grocery store line you can see all different
magazines promoting fashion, weight loss, and the latest diet. Although the magazines differ, they
all seemingly convey the same idea: if you have the perfect body image you can have it allВ…the

It seems that younger females are more apt to believe that most everything they see in the media
is realistic and attainable, and they try to mimic what they see on TV or read in magazines.
They also tend to watch TV shows like One Tree Hill, Laguna Beach, and Gilmore Girls. Why
do our young females look to these fictional characters for real life answers? Do they see these
characters as role models? One has to wonder if they believe that if they mimic how these
characters look and act they will belong and then they, too, can have the same outcome the
characters do. How many times have you walked down the street and seen an 8 or 9 year old girl
wearing something that might be more appropriate if worn by an adult? Females between the
ages of 9 12 read fashion and beauty magazines, and their exposure to these ideal images
coincides with a period in their lives where self regard and self efficacy is in decline. This is the
same time period where body image is tied to self esteem and it becomes quite fragile due to
physical changes of puberty. This is also the same time frame where the tendency for social
comparison is at its peak. Girls thus find themselves in a subculture of dieting, due to the messages
given by the media. Over the past 4 weeks I have spoken to many adolescent girls, ages 9 through

After the Bolsheviks seizure of power in November 1917, Lenin needed to ensure all previously
made promises were kept and that Russia s increasing problems were resolved. The Bolsheviks
were a relatively small party with big plans for Russia a communist state. Is this were to be
possible Lenin would need to gain greater support.
Lenin made several crucial decisions in the early days of peace, bread, land and all power to the
soviet . One his first major changes was the Decree on Land, by making decrees Lenin was being
hugely hypocritical as he was ruling in a very similar way to ... Show more content on

This, however, did not have the desired effect as workers began to flee, as food shortages
increased, to the countryside in search of bread. Bag men , or town traders, took machinery,
scrap machinery and timber from their workplaces to trade for grain in the country. The
population of Petrograd fell by a third in the build up to the civil war. The workers did not want
to stay in towns and cities when money was slowly becoming worthless. Bolshevism was more or
less unknown outside of Petrograd, Moscow and the other main towns and cities, ad so Lenin
needed as much support here as possible.
Lenin finally pulled out of World War 1 in March 1918, signing the Treaty of Brest Litovsk. The
treaty lost Russia 26% of its population, 27% of its arable land as well as significant chunks of the
iron and coal industry, national minorities etc. Despite meeting the promises of the Bolsheviks for
peace, the treaty created yet more opposition within Russia.
Lenin s methods for dealing with opposition were ruthless, repression and dictatorship. As Russia
moved closer to a civil war, Lenin became increasingly like the Tsar in his way of rule. Non

In order to answer the question, it is necessary to define identity and specifically the way social
scientist define identity. An individual has multiple identities, both personally and socially. These
connect them to other people relational identity; to groups, neighbourhoods, and communities
social identity; and to immediate situation or surroundings situational identity. Very few theories or
concepts support the idea of an essential personal identity . A concept that is more favourable is
that who I am is learnt and that it does change often over our life span. A contrary explanation is
that personal identity is not completely separate from social identity. Including group/collective

It is the effectiveness, of these skills that helps create and maintain social order. These unspoken
rules of social etiquette lead to society having preconceived ideas of what is the norm . This is
almost automatic, yet if normal behaviour is breached without repair, it is immediately noticed.
In addition, anything outside of these values of normality is viewed negatively or with
suspicion, this in turn can lead to exclusion of those outside of these so called norms . Identities
of groups refers to differences as well as similarities; writer, Jonathan Raban visited New York
during the 1980s. New York was experiencing record numbers of homeless living on the city s
streets. Raban noted how negatively other people described them: Long term mental patients
discharged from hospitals...crack addicts, thieves, alcoholics (Raban, cited in Taylor, 2009, P.
176). Over time, these separate identities blend and become one larger identity: the Street People,
Raban suggested that it be given capitals as is used similarly to that of national or tribal identity.
Making it a relational identity, Raban conducted participant observation, he performed both
identies, that of the Street People and that of those walking by. He observed how when performing
the passer by identity it is vital to keep moving as once stationary, even though still the same
person; to those who are moving, he is now part of the Street People collective and shares their

Departures Film Analysis
Expected or unexpected the pangs of death are brutal and whether or not we know the deceased,
the reality of death is not easy to embrace. Departures directed by Yojiro Takita and The Burmese
Harp directed by Kon Ichikwa, portray death as a significant, meaningful event especially for those
who are left behind. Though deathis devastating, to say the least, society acknowledges meaning in
death through transitional ceremonies such as funeral and encoffinments. Additionally, by
allowing and accepting the transformational process that occurs after death, an individual can
begin to find new meaning to life. The time taken to perform a funeral or encoffinment indicates
that death is a meaningful event. In Departures, Diago and Mr. Sasaki prepare multiple people s
bodies for life after death through the rite of encoffinment. Not only does this rite purify and
cleanse the deceased, it helps the family and loved ones through the grieving process. In the
countless scenes where family members and friends gather to pay their last respects and bid the
deceased farewell, the audience witnesses a sense of relief and peace in the mourners. Ichikwa

Problem: Should FPL cut dividend? And should Stark revise her investment recommendation?
Options: 1) Keep dividend per share growth at 1.65% 2) Dividend per share grows at 1% 3) Keep
dividend per share constant at $2.46 4) Cut dividend by 30% and repurchase 10 million shares each

Recommendations:
We recommend FPL to cut dividend by 30% in order to free up more cash to facilitate its growth

Empowerment For Ministry Among The Philippines
Introduction An issue many pastors face today is the definitive difference between a called
professional clergy and a called laity and the necessary responsibilities for the empowerment of
laity within their specific missional context. This issue of empowerment for ministry among the
laity has long been a problem debated within the ranks of church leadership and the field of
practical theology. The average believer is faced with the challenge of developing a biblical
understanding of the call of God that is received from God for the fulfillment of their ministry,
which is necessary to form a clear understanding of the role of the laity within the church in light
of the professional clergy. This paper will focus upon the biblical understanding of the
priesthood of all believers, as the laos, or people of God and the role of the professional clergy to
equip, empower and encourage laity to flourish in the work in which God has called them to do.
The development of the historical views of lay ministry within the local church is also a
necessary component that will be addressed in dealing with this dilemma. This paper will also
seek to present biblical narratives presenting the importance of the role of both a called clergy and
a called laity for the successful continuation of a biblical model of the church within today s
society. Properly Defining the Roles of Clergy and Laity within the Pentecostal Church An essential

Exporting US Engineering Labor Overseas, an Ethical Perspective
Introduction
The recent trend of outsourcing white collar jobs overseas to countries such as India has angered
many American Technology professionals. This is occurring specifically in areas such as computer
software, chip design and technical support. This trend has contributed to the increasing difficulty
many Americans, who are looking for technical jobs, are experiencing. The purpose of this paper is
to determine whether this anti outsourcing attitude has any moral basis and to discuss the conflict
of interests involved. This trend has a huge number of stakeholders, impacting engineers working

Technology companies used this model for manufacturing. Manufacturing services were outsourced
to countries such as The Philippines, China, and Malaysia as well as many other developing
countries where the cost of labor was significantly lower. One specific example of this in the
semiconductor industry was that most of the chip package assembly work was outsourced and
moved to the Philippines.
By the 1990 s, the scope of the services being outsourced widened to include any service. In the
Semiconductor Industry, the actual fabrication of devices moved overseas to countries such as
Taiwan. This shift gave more control to the external company and these service suppliers became
closer to their business partners, becoming part of the supply chain for the primary company. The
use of outsourcing by companies is progressing to where the external company is actually bringing
the product to market, including engineering and management services. The outsourcing company
is only developing the innovation. In this case the primary company s business is completely
dependent on the external company.
Throughout this paper, I use the term overseas outsourcing loosely to refer to any service
outsourcing to countries outside the border of the United States. The lower cost of living in many
nations provides the required lower cost labor for outsourcing to be profitable. Different time
zones also allow for work to be accomplished 24 hours/day. The

Water Crisis
Water Crisis in UAE
Introduction
Water crisis refers to the situation where the available water within a geographical location cannot
meet the water needs of the population in that location. This prevalent situation has drawn
considerable attention in most countries due to its severity to humanity. Because of the tripling of
the population in the 21st century, the demand for water has remained considerably higher than
the available clean and safe water. Despite the fact that the earth is covered by seventy percent of
water, only four percent of this water is fresh. The rest is saline. Additionally, out of the fresh
water, sixty nine percent consists of glaciers, while the rest is available as surface or underground
water. As a result,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, people will entail analysis of the level of water utilization in activities such as
agriculture, electricity generation, and consumption. Therefore, they can establish the major
contributors to the water crisis.
Literature review
Ali (2010) comments that the consumption level of water exceeds the available sources (91)
while Boberg (2005) asserts that water is one of the resources that is scarce (112) made an
analysis of the water crisis in UAE based on the water stress in the region. Ali and Boberg
clarified water stress as the imbalance that exists between the amount of water needed and the
available useful water. They utilized the water stress index for the rating of water crisis.
Nevertheless, they failed to take into consideration various factors like the potential sources of
water such as desalinization. This concept concurs with the analysis of Mehmet (2000) that
portrays the severity of water crisis is attributed to industrialization which consumes and pollutes
available water (p.76) but never addresses the role of nature and people regarding water stress.
According to Environmental agency Abu Dhabi (2010) breakthroughs in desalination technologies

Hip Hop And The Music Genre
What is Hip Hop? According to Encyclopedia Britannica, Hip Hop can be delineated as a music
genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic
and rhyming speech that is chanted.1 Originating from a disparaged subculture in the South
Bronx and eagerly spreading through other sectors of New York City during the 1970 s, Hip
Hop evolved from formerly being a relatively fraudulent style to currently being a
commercialized and disseminated music genre among diverse areas around the globe. Hip hop s
evolution into a composition distinct from R B ensued around the time that drum machines and
sampling technology became widely available to the general public at a financially affordable
cost for the average consumer. Turntablist techniques (i.e. scratching, beat mixing, matching, and
beat juggling) ultimately developed along with the breaks, producing a base that could be
rapped over, in a manner similar to signifying, as well as percussive breaks (an influence found
in Jamaican dub music). The art of manipulating sound and creating illustrious music were few
of the techniques that identified the aeon of the hip hop genre: Three of whom will be presented
The Diamond Era (1983 1988), The Golden Era (1989 1993), and The Silver Age (1994 1998). To

before 1983, The Diamond era predates the introduction of a new foundation to the hip hop genre

The Argument Of Federal Progressive Income Tax
Legal Illusion
The arguments regarding federal progressive income tax has been represented to us through the
United States Supreme Court, on the floors of congress, and in media. The revenue from taxes
reached the objective of financing wars from the Civil War through World War II. At the same time
deteriorating the economy with fewer dollars that could be used on imports, exports, and services

question, is income tax legal? There are Americans today who believe income tax is not legal and

such a person, his name is Bobby Ray and the history he presented to me was interesting, and has
left me with more questions than answers.

The moral aspect of this story is that of the shepherd woman who selflessly took up the fate of
another individual as her personal responsibility. She realized that she had to help this stranger
because she had the ability to do so. The woman refused to leave a stranger (Jai) until his journey
was secured and then she refused Jai s offer of payment for her kindness and generosity. This deed
was done based on her obvious personal ethical values which proved to be moral.
The stakeholders are anyone who was affected by the decisions that were made, in this case Jai
and his companion were the extreme stake holders and consequently it trickled down to a shepherd
woman and eventually several others. Jai was affected most since all the decisions made affected
him directly throughout the story. The shepherd woman, the village officials, and the physician
were also affected and therefore can be considered stakeholders. The assumptions of Jai and his
companion were that since they were both healthy and experienced at climbing despite their youth,
when the 1 p.m. turn around time came, the decision to press on had been easy to make, which was
to continue on since the prospects of doing it another day held little appeal to both men. Their

Gender Roles In Keats, Lady Of Shalott, And Goblin Market
Legends, myths and historical imaginings have been used for centuries to tell moral lessons,
stories of love and tragedy, and offer fantasy and magic in return. John Keats, Alfred Tennyson, and
Christina Rossetti all managed to incorporate legend or fantasy into their poems in way in which
they can be used as further insight into the authors ideologies and personal desires. In Ode on a

ASSIGNMENT #1: The Goal and Theory of Constraints (TOC)
Shahrouz Ebadian (Shahrouz.Ebadian@gmail.com)
The Goal: Do you think that this is an operational methodology or a philosophy? Please explain.
The Goal is a management oriented novel that focuses on the concepts of systems management. The
fictional novel focuses around Alex Rogo and the problems in his production plant. The plant is
constantly behind schedule and unprofitable. Alex is given three months to turn things around or
the plant will be shut down.
The Goal introduces the Theory of Constraints (TOC) which is an overall management philosophy
that adopts the idiom A chain is no stronger than its weakest link . This... Show more content on

If we can apply The Goal to the world s most profitable company it seems safe to say that other
companies in some shape or form will fall under this umbrella as well.
[pic] Fig 1.0 How to apply Constraint Management to a Production Facility? How about to a Bank?
Assume that we can apply constraint management!
A production facility seems like the classical example in terms of analyzing the Theory of
Constraints. As time has evolved production facilities have become larger, more complicated and
depend on technology more than ever. With that said, even the most advanced of processes have at
least one constraint (Theory of Constraints principle) and that constraint must be properly managed.
Following the 5 step process the first thing we need to do is identify the issues/constraints in the
system. This is quite broad and can cover anything from issues with human capital down to
bottlenecks in the shipping process. To correctly identify the issue or issues that are holding the
facility back, the identification process must be extremely detail oriented and thorough in the
discovery process. Without this full scope analysis simple errors can occur which in turn will lead
to unexpected or undesired results.
The next steps would be to exploit and subordinate. Once we actually identify the constraint we
have to turn the focus to how to get more production within our current capacity limitations. We
have to be extremely careful when doing this

Demographic Differences
1. Research question(s) addressed in article:
This study investigated the relationship between demographic variables of secondary Indiana
career and technical education (CTE) instructors and program expectations for students with and
without disabilities participating in CTE.
The following questions were used to guide this investigation.
1. Are there differences between CTE educators perceptions of secondary CTE program
socialization, academic and occupational skill attainment, and employability of students with and
without disabilities as identified by respondents gender?
2. ...as identified by respondents ages?
3. ...as identified by respondents education level?
4. ...as identified by respondents years in current positions?
5. ...as identified ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indiana CTE instructors were predominately male (62%), were 51 years old or older (39%), held a
graduate degree (39%), had been in their current position for 1 5 years (41%), and had been in the
field of education for 21 years or more (31%). Answers to the study questions:
1.Gender was reported as having significant effects concerning CTE social fit, academic attainment,
gaining occupational skill competencies, and post school employability.
2.Indiana CTE instructors between the ages of 20 30 and ages 41 50 indicated that students with
disabilities would have more challenges with social fit. Respondents who were in the older age
groups (41 50, 51+ years old) had lower ratings for students with disabilities regarding the
acquisition of occupational skill competencies at the same level as others in their CTE program.
3.Indiana CTE instructors rated students with disabilities lower in all areas compared to the student
without a disability. Respondents who had earned a high school diploma indicated that students
with disabilities would have more challenges in their mind concerning all areas compared to other

Observation For A Childschool
For my Observation I visited my daughters school at Cuesta children center on Cuesta campus.
Yes, we have been attending for about a year but I wanted insure myself that I have chosen the
best qualified school for my daughter. When i arrived the class was so engaging with all different
activities to engage the toddlers. With physical, emotional/social, age appropriate toys, and the best
outside playarea.
Of course the first observation I make is this a safe environment. I clean disinfected tables, light
/sockets covered, paint that were non toxic up high, cleaning supplies up high, floors swept, and
vacuumed. The child ratio at these times was on the higher end maybe because at beginning and
end of days so a little overlap. The fire and disaster plans posted on wall, with a backpack filled
with students emergency cards and basic first aid needs. All toys were placed in bins or tucked
away in a safe and presentable order. The outside had multiple opportunities for children to optimum
risk taking tasks, with traps, slides, play structures, age appropriate bikes, and tumbling mats.
I also looked around to see how healthy is the environment. I observed that each child washes
hands when they enter the class and the diaper areas was wiped down with disinfected after each
diaper change with gloves used with poop, miniature toilets and sinks for proper handwashing
(after using bathroom, before meals) The food was properly prepared (in a of site or in the kitchen)

Techniques Used to Direct Two Film Versions of William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet Having
watched two different film adaptations of Romeo and Juliet , it is clear to see that the two directors,
Baz Luhrmann and Franco Zeffirelli, have used a number of different techniques, quite differently
at times, to put across their particular interpretations of the play. These methods and different
interpretations are very obvious if you should study the same scene as portrayed in each film. We
looked at the introduction and the opening scene of each film to compare the differences between
them and found that the differences, though some were more subtle than others, were obvious.
Whilst Franco... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the opening scene of the films, both versions use extremely different techniques to portray the
introduction of the play. Luhrmann, again, uses modernisation and starts the film with a news
reporter on a television slowly moving closer to the viewer. Along with the plain black
background and no music, this gives a very dramatic effect to the start of the film which will get
the viewer instantly interested in the rest of the film. Once the television has reached the front
of the screen and the news reporter has finished the introduction, the scene immediately changes
to a fast and furious collection of clips from modern USA. These clips of chaos, terror and
destruction can be used to hint the coming emotions of the film but also to draw the viewer s
attention to the film. In my opinion it is Luhrmann s way of showing that if Shakespeare had
written Romeo and Juliet in the present day, this is the type of chaos that the Capulet and
Montague families could cause, a modern twist to the play. As well as the images filmed, the
camera effects, editing and dramatic music also add up to make the scene as chaotic as possible.
The fast zooming, panning and freeze frames give the effect of a disordered scene which also
makes the viewer feel as though they are a part

The Great Writ of Liberty
Introduction
A Writ of Habeas Corpus is an authoritative order forcing governments to provide the body of the
detainee in which the legality of their detention and individual liberties will be challenged.
Historically associated with civil liberty violation and the injustice of illegally detaining potentially
enemies of the state, jurisdictional issues regarding their detaining location have made justice
difficult to administer and deliver. Detaining enemies for their participation, involvement, and/or
ties to threats of terror towards the United States will result the confinement of combatants, as
solidified by the US Constitution, however, to what extent will they be forced to stay?. Residents of

Enemy Combatants are essentially individual that have been acquired and/or detained as a direct
involvement and/or supportive participation during war times against the American people.
(Mortlock, 2010, pp. 375 404)The labeling of Illegal Combatants refers to a person who engages in
combat without meeting the requirements according to the laws of war delineated within the Third
Geneva Convention (ICRC, 2014). The significance that habeas corpus plays for such combatants
allows for the challenging of a potential overly exerted authority that government may have
inadvertently placed within the power of the president. It relevance to such labeled individuals is
nothing short than the sense of freedom and hope that justice will not be unjust.
U.S. Supreme Court: Habeas Corpus Interpretation
The United States Congress has endowed the president with authoritative powers to use necessary
force against individuals posing significant threats found to have planned, authorized, committed, or
aided the terrorist attacks in conjunction with September 11th atrocities. Those that have been
placed within the custody of the United States as a result of terrorist activities will often times file

The Measure Of Concealed Weapons Onto College Campuses
The ability to carry concealed weapons onto college campuses has always been an area of
contention. In 1990, Congress passed the Clery Act which created gun free zones in primary and
secondary schools. Around that same time many states passed laws prohibiting weapons on college
campuses as well. (Lyons, 2017) In recent years there has been a stronger focus on college related
shootings and deaths which has re ignited the conversation regards concealed weapons on college
campuses. The most prominent political value that is in conflict with itself is freedom. The 2nd
Amendment of the United States Constitution grants citizens the right to bear arms. Many gun
rights activists believe that the right to carry weapons onto college campuses is... Show more

For opponents of concealed carry on campuses, they argue that by having guns on college
campuses, they are less free. Freedom is so ambiguous because it is completely subjective to
every individual. What makes one individual feel free might make another individual terrified.
Another political value that is in conflict with itself is security. People who are for concealed
carry at universities claim that it would be for their security. Since 2002, 64 people have been
killed in mass shootings on college campuses. (Lyons, 2016) One individual is quoted as saying
that The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. (Lyons, 2017)
This quote conveys the feelings of many concealed carry supporters who say that they do not
feel safe being restricted as to where they can and cannot carry their personal weapon. Opponents
of this idea claim that allowing guns on college campuses would conflict with their own personal
safety. Many say that the more weapons we have on college campuses, the more likely an attack
or accident is to happen. An idea that has been tossed around would be to allow only faculty and
staff to carry concealed weapons. However, opponents still have some hesitations. Daniel Webster
of Johns Hopkins University stated that if faculty and staff were permitted to bring guns onto
college campuses, there should be ... strict rules and protocols for securing the

Essay on “Higher Education Without Higher Interest Rates”
The current state of the economy has spurred a debate as to what type of education is worth the
time and study that students invest. Some contend that students should attain degrees in more
quantitative subjects, such as math and science. Others state that vocational degrees are best in
this economy. Personal views aside, a central tenet is clear a college education, often
complemented by postgraduate education, is the reliable path to success for most Americans. That
being said, there are still several real life obstacles that impede access to such an education. There
are several, specific public policy initiatives that can help alleviate these hindrances. In order for
Americans to have more job opportunities with higher wages, Congress... Show more content on

In other words, higher education is valuable but expensive. Most would agree that higher
education encourages ingenuity and critical thinking attributes which are valuable in any
profession. Though people like to cite Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg as not finishing college but
finding once in a lifetime success, the rule remains that those individuals are the exception, not the
rule. Having a college degree makes attaining a higher paying job possible. Clearly higher
education pays off, but there are some people who do not have enough money to pay for college.
Only thirty percent of Americans have earned a college degree. This number does not seem
staggering, but when compared with college tuition debt to credit card debt, the results are stark. In
general, Americans have more college tuition debt than credit card debt (State of the Union).
When considering an average college graduate and his or her consumer/credit debt, it is easy to
see why the student loan burden is one that students find increasingly difficult to confront. This is
worsened by the current state of the economy, where educated men and women have difficulties
finding jobs because of the market. As a result, they are straddled with student loan debt. This debt,
coupled with consumer debt and dim job prospects, are a burden which can easily become
overwhelming for the average 22 year old (Federal Student Aid).
The fact that institutions of higher learning have added to their tuition

  • 5. The Use Of Transformation As Becoming Increasingly Popular... Introduction The use of transformation is becoming increasingly popular in use by genetic engineers to bring new genetic material into a wide range of life forms. In bacterial transformation, DNA (whether plasmid or chromosomal) is taken from a contributor cell to a beneficiary cell as a section of exposed DNA. The giver cells should first be lysed to allow the release of the DNA. After discharge from the contributor cell, huge chromosomal DNA is effectively separated into smaller parts of exposed DNA. Conversely, the smaller plasmid DNA stays in place as little, roundabout bits of DNA. Cells equipped for taking up high atomic weight DNA is said to be competent. To achieve competence experimentally, most bacteria must be be grown and studied under painstakingly controlled conditions. Nonetheless, individuals from some bacterial genera, for example, Acinetobacter, are actually very naturally competent. An arrangement of genes is expressed when Escherichia coli is exposed to 42C heat, which allows the bacteria to live at said temperature. The heat shock step is vital for the uptake of DNA and in order to recover from this, the bacterial cells are incubated for a short time with non selective growth media. Nonetheless, because of the low number of bacterial cells, which contain the plasmid and the potential for the plasmid not to engender itself in all daughter cells, it is important to select for bacterial cells which contain the plasmid. This is generally performed with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Among those who oppose the ban are the millennials, The Guardian reported. Experts believe that the youth favoring the assault weapons may have something to do with the popularity of first person shooter video games such as Call of Duty. They also cited the increasing prominence of military style guns in the market. Majority support ban While half of millennials are on the pro gun stand, a large majority of Americans back the ban on the sale of assault weapons. Including the AR 15 style rifles which is the preferred weapon of mass shooters. Breitbart, a pro Republican publication, pointed out that many of those who are against the ban were not old enough to vote when the push for the ban happened in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School attack. When the ban expired in 2004,l some of them were still toddlers. Other than the millennials, Republicans and registered voters in the 18 34 age bracket are against the assault weapon ban. But 70 percent of voters over 50 support the ban. An even higher 77 percent from the age group 65 and above are in favor of the ban. • 10. History Of Land Protection Regulation On Urban Development... Farmland protection has become a contentious political issue in China due to the loss of cultivated land in rapidly growing urban centers. In response to new information about rates of farmland conversion, the national government placed a national moratorium on arable land conversion in 1997 and imposed stringent regulations on the encroachment of urban land on agricultural lands in the Land Management Law of 1998 (Lin and Ho 2005). There has been speculation about the efficacy of the regulations, which are challenging to enforce. Others have expressed concern that the regulations could severely distort China s most productive urban land markets (Lichtenberg and Ding 2009, Ding 2003). This paper estimates the causal effect of the primary farmland protection regulation on urban land development across China. Satellite data have played an important role in assessments of farmland loss in China for over a decade, but have not been used to examine the impact of the regulatory policy. • 25. Empowerment For Ministry Among The Philippines Introduction An issue many pastors face today is the definitive difference between a called professional clergy and a called laity and the necessary responsibilities for the empowerment of laity within their specific missional context. This issue of empowerment for ministry among the laity has long been a problem debated within the ranks of church leadership and the field of practical theology. The average believer is faced with the challenge of developing a biblical understanding of the call of God that is received from God for the fulfillment of their ministry, which is necessary to form a clear understanding of the role of the laity within the church in light of the professional clergy. This paper will focus upon the biblical understanding of the priesthood of all believers, as the laos, or people of God and the role of the professional clergy to equip, empower and encourage laity to flourish in the work in which God has called them to do. The development of the historical views of lay ministry within the local church is also a necessary component that will be addressed in dealing with this dilemma. This paper will also seek to present biblical narratives presenting the importance of the role of both a called clergy and a called laity for the successful continuation of a biblical model of the church within today s society. Technology companies used this model for manufacturing. Manufacturing services were outsourced to countries such as The Philippines, China, and Malaysia as well as many other developing countries where the cost of labor was significantly lower. One specific example of this in the semiconductor industry was that most of the chip package assembly work was outsourced and moved to the Philippines. By the 1990 s, the scope of the services being outsourced widened to include any service. In the Semiconductor Industry, the actual fabrication of devices moved overseas to countries such as Taiwan. This shift gave more control to the external company and these service suppliers became closer to their business partners, becoming part of the supply chain for the primary company. The use of outsourcing by companies is progressing to where the external company is actually bringing the product to market, including engineering and management services. The outsourcing company is only developing the innovation. In this case the primary company s business is completely dependent on the external company. Throughout this paper, I use the term overseas outsourcing loosely to refer to any service outsourcing to countries outside the border of the United States. The lower cost of living in many nations provides the required lower cost labor for outsourcing to be profitable. Different time zones also allow for work to be accomplished 24 hours/day. The ... • 32. Hip Hop And The Music Genre What is Hip Hop? According to Encyclopedia Britannica, Hip Hop can be delineated as a music genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted.1 Originating from a disparaged subculture in the South Bronx and eagerly spreading through other sectors of New York City during the 1970 s, Hip Hop evolved from formerly being a relatively fraudulent style to currently being a commercialized and disseminated music genre among diverse areas around the globe. Hip hop s evolution into a composition distinct from R B ensued around the time that drum machines and sampling technology became widely available to the general public at a financially affordable cost for the average consumer. Turntablist techniques (i.e. scratching, beat mixing, matching, and beat juggling) ultimately developed along with the breaks, producing a base that could be rapped over, in a manner similar to signifying, as well as percussive breaks (an influence found in Jamaican dub music). A production facility seems like the classical example in terms of analyzing the Theory of Constraints. With that said, even the most advanced of processes have at least one constraint (Theory of Constraints principle) and that constraint must be properly managed. Following the 5 step process the first thing we need to do is identify the issues/constraints in the system. This is quite broad and can cover anything from issues with human capital down to bottlenecks in the shipping process. To correctly identify the issue or issues that are holding the facility back, the identification process must be extremely detail oriented and thorough in the discovery process. Without this full scope analysis simple errors can occur which in turn will lead to unexpected or undesired results. The next steps would be to exploit and subordinate. In my opinion it is Luhrmann s way of showing that if Shakespeare had written Romeo and Juliet in the present day, this is the type of chaos that the Capulet and Montague families could cause, a modern twist to the play. As well as the images filmed, the camera effects, editing and dramatic music also add up to make the scene as chaotic as possible. The fast zooming, panning and freeze frames give the effect of a disordered scene which also makes the viewer feel as though they are a part ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The significance that habeas corpus plays for such combatants allows for the challenging of a potential overly exerted authority that government may have inadvertently placed within the power of the president. It relevance to such labeled individuals is nothing short than the sense of freedom and hope that justice will not be unjust. U.S. Supreme Court: Habeas Corpus Interpretation The United States Congress has endowed the president with authoritative powers to use necessary force against individuals posing significant threats found to have planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks in conjunction with September 11th atrocities. (Lyons, 2017) In recent years there has been a stronger focus on college related shootings and deaths which has re ignited the conversation regards concealed weapons on college campuses. For opponents of concealed carry on campuses, they argue that by having guns on college campuses, they are less free. Freedom is so ambiguous because it is completely subjective to every individual. What makes one individual feel free might make another individual terrified. Another political value that is in conflict with itself is security. People who are for concealed carry at universities claim that it would be for their security. Since 2002, 64 people have been killed in mass shootings on college campuses. (Lyons, 2016) One individual is quoted as saying that The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. (Lyons, 2017) This quote conveys the feelings of many concealed carry supporters who say that they do not feel safe being restricted as to where they can and cannot carry their personal weapon. Opponents of this idea claim that allowing guns on college campuses would conflict with their own personal safety. Many say that the more weapons we have on college campuses, the more likely an attack or accident is to happen. An idea that has been tossed around would be to allow only faculty and staff to carry concealed weapons. However, opponents still have some hesitations. • 49. Essay on “Higher Education Without Higher Interest Rates” The current state of the economy has spurred a debate as to what type of education is worth the time and study that students invest. Some contend that students should attain degrees in more quantitative subjects, such as math and science. Others state that vocational degrees are best in this economy. Personal views aside, a central tenet is clear a college education, often complemented by postgraduate education, is the reliable path to success for most Americans. That being said, there are still several real life obstacles that impede access to such an education. There are several, specific public policy initiatives that can help alleviate these hindrances. Most would agree that higher education encourages ingenuity and critical thinking attributes which are valuable in any profession. Though people like to cite Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg as not finishing college but finding once in a lifetime success, the rule remains that those individuals are the exception, not the rule. Having a college degree makes attaining a higher paying job possible. Clearly higher education pays off, but there are some people who do not have enough money to pay for college. Only thirty percent of Americans have earned a college degree. This number does not seem staggering, but when compared with college tuition debt to credit card debt, the results are stark. In general, Americans have more college tuition debt than credit card debt (State of the Union). When considering an average college graduate and his or her consumer/credit debt, it is easy to see why the student loan burden is one that students find increasingly difficult to confront. This is worsened by the current state of the economy, where educated men and women have difficulties finding jobs because of the market. As a result, they are straddled with student loan debt. This debt, coupled with consumer debt and dim job prospects, are a burden which can easily become overwhelming for the average 22 year old (Federal Student Aid).
