This paper is a review the whole process of making our project, what we could and could
not do, our real feeling and experience.
I. Group and project introduction
We can find no special reason that explains why we formed in a group. In the day of
beginning the lesion we sat together and according the requirement of teacher we took
shape a group of four. Day by day, through working together, we understand each other
more and our friendship becomes closer. We have a good cooperation not only in this
subject but also in other sides of life. Even though sometimes we discussed severely or
got angry for we could not find out the agreement some problems; finally we could find
the solution. We come from different cities, we have different hobbies but we have the
same target, it is making our idea becomes true.
Perhaps because we are studying French so the first destination we had chosen is Paris
the kingdom of light and fashion. After that we changed our intention and this time Thai
Nguyen University is our choice. At first, this choice is just because all the famous sights
in Thai Nguyen were selected by other groups, with this choice we can save time and it is
easy to search information. However, gradually, we recognize that this project is really
interesting and helpful. If we try our best we can do something for the university where
we are learning. It also is a good chance for us to have a closer look at Thai Nguyen

University. If we do not implement our project we will never visit such many universities
like this. From the day of starting to now, we never regret of our choice.
This project can promote the image of Thai Nguyen University in the atmosphere that the
high school can hardly opt one in a large number of universities appearing more and
more. In addition, this project is highly realistic, it can be used to introduce Thai Nguyen
University when there are foreign students and teachers want to learn about Vietnamese
education. It also points to high school students who can become one member of this
university after joining this tour.
This journey including 4 universities: university of education and university of medicine
and pharmacy are two prestigious ones in Thai Nguyen, university of technology is the
largest one with the facilities and the infrastructure in the top of Viet Nam and the
University of Communication and information technology is a new member in the Thai
Nguyen system. They are worthy being introduced not only in our project but also in
other fields. We do not forget provide with information about the activities of Thai
Nguyen university. And it is possible if the visitors want to choose any destination in the
Thai Nguyen university system to visit.
II. Project implementation
Each member in our group undertakes the mission in one university; to ensure the
equality we choose the university by drawing randomly the name of each university in a
secret paper so there is no jealousness of work when doing project. Next, we search
information, practice being a tour guide and contribute the idea to make videos and
website.
Performing this project is not easy. At first, we searched information from internet this
information had been update quite long before so when we went to the university to film
the clip we had to change the script a lot. The thing that made us very happy and surprise
when doing our project is we received a lot of help from our friends and the students who
are learning in these universities. They showed us enthusiastically their school, the
position and function of each building. Especially, the students in university of medicine
and pharmacy, they are willing to participate in our video even though it was raining
heavily. During this time there were some obstacles that leaded us to be tired and
stressful, it was when one of our member fell out of her motorbike when were on the
street to change the place filming that hurt her in leg, or when our computers were broken
down by virus and we had to redo a part of our outcome. Furthermore, we got a lot of
pressure of time, because we are bilingual students, we two time much more exercise and

assignment than others. Therefore, time management is a very difficult problem that
always require us to stay late at night or to give up other plans.
We must mention the difficulty of technology. You know, this subject is like our work, so
we must make a project before doing everything. Firstly, we thought we would work well
without the most difficult problems, but we were wrong. We neglected the problem about
technology, especially, software to edit video. We captured videos for our project. Of
course, they weren’t a complete video. After having these video we had to use some
software to edit them, recorded our voice, and so on. We claimed that all software would
to be easy to use, but when we started working with it, we found many problems which
we never thought about. We tried to use some software like adobe premier, pro show,
movie maker, movie maker 2.6… You know, no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t
install adobe premier, it seem to be so heavy that our laptop couldn’t set up. How about
pro show? We had to use trial version, so it always had a yellow word on our video, and
we saw that it wasn’t good. Thus, we had to turn to use a traditional way, it means we use
movie maker. However, we also got trouble during using it. Movie maker 2.6 could cut
the sound of video but we couldn’t insert video mp4 in it, meanwhile all of our videos
were mp4. Movie maker, we could insert video mp4 but we didn’t know how to cut the
sound of video. Thus, we used movie maker firstly to change from mp4 to wmv, and then
we used movie maker 2.6 to edit video. This work took us much time, and all of the
members felt stressful. Other problem was about creating our website. It seem to be easy,
however, we also faced with some difficulties. We created our free website, so it had
some disadvantages. We couldn’t upload the video on web, so we had to use you tube to
make a link, and we didn’t like it a bit. We also couldn’t paste a link of other website in
our website because if we want to do it, we must pay fee. In general, we had many
problems when we worked, but we never gave up. We always found the solution
together, and try to work as well as we could.
III. Experience
Now, we realize partly the importance this subject that at the beginning we thought it
would not help us in our study. Perhaps, in the future, we will much more understand
how helpful this subject is, but now at least we know how to form a tour, how to make an
effective action plan, how to design a website and a blog, how to divide the work, how to
make a video, and how to be a tour guide.
Thank to this subject that help us to have new friends, to have opportunity to visit a lot
university in Thai Nguyen, to know that there are a lot of help when we need.

They are worthy being introduced not only in our project but also in other fields. We do not forget provide with information about the activities of Thai Nguyen university. And it is possible if the visitors want to choose any destination in the Thai Nguyen university system to visit. II. Project implementation Each member in our group undertakes the mission in one university; to ensure the equality we choose the university by drawing randomly the name of each university in a secret paper so there is no jealousness of work when doing project. Next, we search information, practice being a tour guide and contribute the idea to make videos and website. Performing this project is not easy. At first, we searched information from internet this information had been update quite long before so when we went to the university to film the clip we had to change the script a lot. The thing that made us very happy and surprise when doing our project is we received a lot of help from our friends and the students who are learning in these universities. They showed us enthusiastically their school, the position and function of each building. Especially, the students in university of medicine and pharmacy, they are willing to participate in our video even though it was raining heavily. During this time there were some obstacles that leaded us to be tired and stressful, it was when one of our member fell out of her motorbike when were on the street to change the place filming that hurt her in leg, or when our computers were broken down by virus and we had to redo a part of our outcome. Furthermore, we got a lot of pressure of time, because we are bilingual students, we two time much more exercise and
  • 4. 4 THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY TRAVEL assignment than others. Therefore, time management is a very difficult problem that always require us to stay late at night or to give up other plans. We must mention the difficulty of technology. You know, this subject is like our work, so we must make a project before doing everything. Firstly, we thought we would work well without the most difficult problems, but we were wrong. We neglected the problem about technology, especially, software to edit video. We captured videos for our project. Of course, they weren’t a complete video. After having these video we had to use some software to edit them, recorded our voice, and so on. We claimed that all software would to be easy to use, but when we started working with it, we found many problems which we never thought about. We tried to use some software like adobe premier, pro show, movie maker, movie maker 2.6… You know, no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t install adobe premier, it seem to be so heavy that our laptop couldn’t set up. How about pro show? We had to use trial version, so it always had a yellow word on our video, and we saw that it wasn’t good. Thus, we had to turn to use a traditional way, it means we use movie maker. However, we also got trouble during using it. Movie maker 2.6 could cut the sound of video but we couldn’t insert video mp4 in it, meanwhile all of our videos were mp4. Movie maker, we could insert video mp4 but we didn’t know how to cut the sound of video. Thus, we used movie maker firstly to change from mp4 to wmv, and then we used movie maker 2.6 to edit video. This work took us much time, and all of the members felt stressful. Other problem was about creating our website. It seem to be easy, however, we also faced with some difficulties. We created our free website, so it had some disadvantages. We couldn’t upload the video on web, so we had to use you tube to make a link, and we didn’t like it a bit. We also couldn’t paste a link of other website in our website because if we want to do it, we must pay fee. In general, we had many problems when we worked, but we never gave up. We always found the solution together, and try to work as well as we could. III. Experience Now, we realize partly the importance this subject that at the beginning we thought it would not help us in our study. Perhaps, in the future, we will much more understand how helpful this subject is, but now at least we know how to form a tour, how to make an effective action plan, how to design a website and a blog, how to divide the work, how to make a video, and how to be a tour guide. Thank to this subject that help us to have new friends, to have opportunity to visit a lot university in Thai Nguyen, to know that there are a lot of help when we need.
