CEO Manu Agarwal, an IIT Kanpur
alumnus in January 2008 as a product
research and price comparison service .
This website would let you compare the
pricing of as many as 10 products to
make an informed purchase decision. It
also listed the details of local sellers. In
2009 it adapted the marketplace model
and stated selling products online.

degree from reputed IIT Kanpur. He did his
post graduation in Electronics and Computer
Science from the university of Minnesota
USA. He started his career with a job at
Wafer scale integration(WSI).He had a
dream to be an entrepreneur . Very soon he
quit his job and come back to India.

model where in it facilitates online and offline
sales of third party products to its customer
base, in addition to handling the customer
service. In other words, it provides a platform
for merchants and sellers to sell their
products through Naaptol so that small-time
merchants/sellers can reach out to a wider
customer base and customers enjoy great
value-for-money products.
PRODUCTS AVIALABLE ON NAPTOL
INVESTMENT
In the initial stage, Naptol started with a
seed capital of Rs.50 lacs. In 2010, Naptol
started investing in print media. Naptol raised
Rs 136 carore also from Mitsui & Co in April
and an additional Rs343 carore in November
this year. Mitsui now owns 20% stake in the
7 year old naptol .
