Project Detail :
Hyundai E&C was involved in North-South Transmission Cable Tunnel project comprises of 7.3 km
length Bored tunnel with an internal diameter of 6m. Using slurry TBM machine for transmitting EHT cables
between Ang Mo Kio Shaft to May Shaft. Shafts, Adit & Enlargement was design & built using Blasting method
& 7.3km bored Tunnel was done using Herrenknecht TBM machine.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
 Supervised the D-Wall construction & Shaft Excavation (Guide wall, D-Wall panel marking, preparing
the rebar gauge, Toe Grouting, Recharge well & Piezometer Installation and monitoring, Capping beam,
Bund wall, Ring Beam, etc.,)
 Supervised the Shaft and Tunnel construction using Drill and Blast technique and Electronic Tunneling
system,

2.  Supervised the installation/application of all active support such as, rock bolt, steel ribs/ring shotcrete
both wet and dry application during initial lining of the Tunnel,
 Supervised the pressured grouting ground treatment works to seal off the water ingress. Supervision
for the installation of Alima,
 Responsible for maintenance / infrastructure logistical support. Initial site preparation on surface, which
includes various civil works, foundation for Batching Plant, workshop, and installation of essential
services, cable and pipe gallery on surface, SLURRY TBM launching chamber initial drive and Tunnel-
Eye, Site Plan, Lattice Girder Installation, Trust Frame & Strain Gauges Installation, Fabrication & NATM.
 Prepare Method Statements for Shaft Construction, Blasting works and TBM launching,
 Planning and Coordination with Project Manager, Tunnel Manager, Client & Consultant for making the
pre-plan and day to day work activity,
 Test for Density, Ph value and Viscosity of the bentonite for D-wall,
 Remedial/Repair Works (D-Wall Over break, Couplers, Starter Bars, Leakages, etc.),
 Ensure all the sequence and procedures are carry out in accordance to the C & S specification,
 Preparation of daily production, weekly production and monthly production detail,
