I decided to do a poster like the suns poster:

I decided to do one like this as I thought it was very effective, as its showing you what
you get for your money. However my paper will be free, so I will be showing all the
things you get for free!

I started by creating the receipt shape, by making a long rectangular shape, and then
making the bottom of it jagged. I then made it a faint grayish crème colour, to look like a
receipt. I then put my logo on, which is my masthead, and started to write all the different
things that were on my newspaper, I made them in purple, to look like a real reciept. I
then instead of writing a price said ‘All for free’. However I did not like this, so started
thinking of ideas of a slogan for my newspaper.

This is my poster so far:
Once I had finished writing the list of things my newspaper includes, I changed
the ‘All for free’ to ‘Bromley free guide to life for teenagers’, however, I still did not like
this, so carried on brainstorming for another slogan. I then decided to make my advert
more interesting I should add a background. I decided to have a wooden look
background, so it was like the receipt was on a table. I then searched for wooden
backgrounds and found this one:

I then put this behind my receipt.

It then looked like this:
I liked it; however I still needed a slogan. After thinking about it I came up with: ‘When
the news breaks, we put it together’. I then put this on my newspaper, to make the end
product:
I like my poster, I think it is effective, and simple, and will be eye-catching to my target
audience.
