10 Lessons Learned
   Collection of experiences that help
balancing my professional and private life
Enjoy your work!

Either you like what you’re doing or you’re
       probably in the wrong place.
Help the organization put you in the right
spot where your skills are needed and you
            enjoy what you do.
Follow a career strategy

What is your mission and vision? Define a
        career strategy based on it.
Don’t just do what you’re asked for... Help
        the organization help you.
Embrace a challenge

When you’re given a challenge, embrace it
so that you may feel the exhilaration of
                  victory.
Don’t be afraid to fail in the little things,
but make sure you learn so that you win in
              the big things.
Work smarter, not harder

Working too much not only will wear you
out but also hinder you from surpassing
                   competition.
The secret is to work smarter (better and
                  faster results).
Walk the Talk
The best way to gain trust and recognition
from your colleagues is to walk along the
             path with them.
            Lead by example.
        Practice what you preach.
Be humble and diligent

Don’t be ashamed to use the words thank
you, please and sorry. Everybody (from the
cleaning staff up to the CEO) deserves
                equal treatment.
Focus on serving others rather than
           demanding to be served.
Be honest and truthful

                 Speak the truth.
Say No when you have to (and always try
             to provide alternatives).
If you don’t know, just shut up!
Don’t talk cheap and go creating false
                   expectations!
Put a smile on your face

Smile and maintain a good attitude.
It’ll help keeping a friendlier and
        cooperative work environment.
Communicate correctly

       Privilege verbal communication over e-
mails. First speak, then record it in writing.
The minutes you save by sending an e-mail
can easily turn into hours, days or even
weeks of delays and unnecessary hassle due
    to misunderstandings!
Spend some quality time

    Occasionally take a break.
Give yourself some time to rest, to be
    imaginative and productive.
At the end of the day, avoid taking work to
    home.
Enjoy life with your friends and family.
Thank you!
