Analysis Of Eve s Apology On The Fall Of Humanity Essay
Although Aemilia Lanyer and John Milton were both writing on the Fall of humanity, their
approaches to this topic were vastly different. Lanyer wrote Eve s Apology in Defense of Women,
in order to combat the widely believed cultural idea of the time that placed the fault of the Fall
entirely on Eve. Milton, on the other hand, is attempting to explore this biblical story in Paradise
Lostto prove that Adam and Evehad free will, thus absolving God of responsibility for the fall.
Lanyer and Milton differ in their portrayal of the fall through their depiction of Adam and Eve s
relationship and their ideas about the free will of each of the characters. These factors
ultimately lead Milton to present a portrait of the fall that seems more balanced and accurate.
One of the reasons for which Milton and Lanyer portray the Fall differently in their texts is
because of their views on the relationship between Adam and Eve. Firstly, although Lanyer does
acknowledge that Adam and Eve share a strong bond, she often represents the relationship of
Adam and Eve as a dictatorship, portraying Adam as the dictator. Because of this unbalanced
power structure, which, in Lanyer s eyes, overtly favors Adam over Eve, Lanyer absolves Eve of
responsibility for the Fall and places the blame squarely on Adam even though Eve offered the
fruit to Adam. In portraying this perceived power structure, Lanyer states, Let not us women glory
in men s fall / Who had power given to overrule us all (Lanyer,

Problems Faced By The Spot Foreign Exchange Markets
problems in currency market
In the spot foreign exchange markets, there are several broad areas of potential abuse, which may
occur on a stand alone basis or in combination: (c) In cases of pricing benchmarks which are
determined by actual executed trades during a defined window such as the WM/Reuters rate 60
second window, traders executing trades during the window with the intention of moving the
benchmark, including splitting such trades into strategic blocks for maximum benchmark impact,
thereby making a greater spread where subsequently executing a client order at a guaranteed or
limit price;
(d) Traders colluding with traders at other dealers to execute trades during the pricing window at
off market prices where the other trader is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a firm or approved person engages in any of the activities described in 1 above, the principle
may be breached and there may, depending on the facts, also be rule breaches in relation to client
confidentiality. For breaches of rules and principles, the FCA can impose a fine and give public
censure. Fines are commensurate with the seriousness of the breach and will be determined by
reference to the FCA s usual criteria.
If manipulation in the spot markets turns out not to be the only instance of foreign exchange rate
manipulation, and manipulative practices are also used in currency swaps, then individuals may
also face censure under FSMA since these are qualifying investments and therefore subject to the
market abuse regime.

1.Explain how the particular financial service is regulated? (3 Marks)
Federal and state governments have a myriad of agencies in place that regulate and oversee
financial markets and companies. These agencies each have a specific range of duties and
responsibilities that enable them to act independently of each other while they work to accomplish
similar objectives. Although opinions vary on the efficiency, effectiveness and even the need for
some of these agencies, they were each designed with a goal in mind and will most likely be
around for some time. With that in

Sir Ronald Alymer Fisher Sir Ronald A. Fisher was born on February 17, 1890, in the small town
of East Finchley, in London, England. Fisher was an English statistician and biologist who used
math to combine genetics and natural selection. Fisher was born into a wealthy family where he
was the second born of twins. George Fisher, who was Ron s father, was an successful arts
dealer, his mother was a lawyer s. Ron was fortunate enough to have parents who could afford to
send him to one of the best private schools I his area. Unfortunately when he was 14, his luck ran
out. His mother died of peritonitis and his father s business tanked and declared bankruptcy. Ron
was forcibly moved from his glamourous mansion in one of the richest parts of London, to a small
house in one of the poorest areas.
Things started looking up for Ronald however, when The Harrow School continued to pay for his
education although his family could not. One of his teacher told the faculty that in all of his years
of teaching that he was among the most brilliant. Ron was awarded multiple scholarships that
allowed him to continue his education that would help him to become one of the best staticians

Negative Essay On Vegetarianism
According to a recent poll, 6 to 8 million Americans do not eat meat, fish, or poultry. From these
people studies have been done about the effects of a vegetarian diet on the body. Compared to
meat eaters, vegetarians consume less saturated fat and cholesterol from not eating meat. This
diet leads to better long term health. Research so far has shown that a vegetarian diet reduces
the risk of heart disease. In recent years a study was done using 76,000 participants and the
results showed that vegetarians were 25% less likely to die from a cardiac event such as a heart
attack. This is because vegetarians tend to consume more high fiber, whole grains, and legumes
which have a low glycemic index and the body digests slowly. This keeps blood sugar levels
steady. Another food item that helps reduce the risk of heart disease is walnuts. The omega 3s in
walnuts help reduce total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. There is some controversy over whether
vegetarians are significantly healthier. Also, discussing the differences in the types of vegetarians.
And portray the different sides of vegetarianismfrom leading experts.
Different people follow different forms of vegetarianism. A true vegetarian eats no meatat all,
including chicken and fish, whereas a lacto ovo vegetarian eats dairy products and eggs, but
excludes meat, fish, and poultry. It follows, then, that a lacto vegetarian eats dairy products but not
eggs, whereas an ovo vegetarian eats eggs but not dairy products

Insurable Interest Essay
What is Insurable Interest in a Maritime Insurance Policy
The term insurable interest refers to the benefit (or interest) a person has in an insured object (or
person as in a life insurance insurable interest). This benefit can refer to a financial benefit, among
others. A person has insurable interest in a thing when he or she would experience some kind of
loss (financial or otherwise) if the thing were to be damaged or lost.
Say that you have piece of jewelry in your home that is also a family heirloom. If someone were
to steal it (or if you were to drop it down the sink, or in the toilet, or even lose it in the garbage)
you would suffer different kinds of loss, both financial and emotional. Thus, you have an insurable
interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is no requirement of insurable interest when the contract is made. This section also allows
the subject matter of a marine policy to be insured lost or not lost . This means that it is possible
for the insured to recover under a marine policy even if he acquired his interest after the loss has
occurred, unless he was aware of the loss and the insurer was not. These rules reflect the practices
of marine trade where cargo frequently changes ownership in the course of transit. In this case there
is a transfer of rights i.e assignment of interest.
Assignment of Interest may be done by endorsement in blank that is to sign the policy.
Alternatively, this can be also done by signing in favor of one other person. In turn, only that person
can then claim to be the rightful owner. The law permits this unless the policy states otherwise.
However, hull policies prohibit assignment even though the marine act promotes this transfer of
rights.
An interesting fact is that companies can have insurable interest in their workers, both in higher ups
and in those lower down the ladder. There has been some controversy about this recently, where
companies took life insurance policies out on their employees without their employees consent. In
these instances, the companies collected the policies on their deceased employees, who sometimes
did not even work for them anymore.
Of course companies have

Student Code Of Professional Responsibility
As members of Western College of Law, and, moreover, as members of the legal and academic
communities, students must hold themselves to the highest standards of ethical behavior. An
individual whose actions impugn the integrity of his self or herself necessarily impugn the
integrity of the institutions and communities in which they are permitted membership. Moreover,
those who would practice law have a sworn duty to the People, who must trust in the honor and
integrity of their legal advocates and representatives. If the People lose faith in the law, the law
loses its efficacy as a tool for the public good. Therefore, as protectors of the academic and

Section IV (A)(1)(2) and (3) of the Student Code of Professional Responsibility (Student Code)
dictates, [a]ny conduct pertaining to academic or other University matters that evidences fraud,
deceit, [or] dishonesty constitutes a violation of the Student Code. Furthermore, it states, [a]ny
criminal act that raises serious doubts about the accused student s honesty, integrity or fitness to
practice law constitutes a violation of the student code. Mr. O Shea committed this act
purposefully and knowingly in violation of section IV (B). The Committee should expel Mr.
Oshea from Western College of Law. Admission to the State Bar will require that Mr. Oshea to
prove that he [i]s a person of good moral character, which may be proved by any evidence
satisfactory to the court. Furthermore, the State Bar often considers an applicant s financial
integrity. In Application of Taylor, the Supreme Court of Oregon denied the applicant, relying
heavily on the evidence that the he had committed theft and that he had exhibited dishonest
financial practices. Mr. Oshea s offense covers both of these grounds with a single act. The
Committee should apply the same logic to its decision. Though this recommendation is admittedly
severe, the details Mr. Oshea s actions clearly warrant expulsion. Mr. Oshea intentionally committed
fraud. As a law student, he cannot reasonably claim ignorance to the illegality of his actions.
Additionally, Mr. O Shea stole a sum of

Reflection Of The Imagined Community
This paper is a book report of Benedict Anderson s famous book Imagined community: Reflection
on the Origin and spread of Nationalism. It was published by Verso in 1983 and had revisions in
1991 and 2006 with some additional chapters and it became one of the most read books on
nationalism. Anderson explains that the concept of nationalism is a very new but a powerful
concept, which has been neglected by many important thinkers. Nationalism according to him is
connecting bound among the people of a nation, which creates an imagined community. People do
not know each other personally but they share a nation, which makes them tied to each other. When
it comes to the reason of why it is emerging in the modern times, he explains that the main
underlying reason behind the growth of the imagined communities is the rise of the movements
against the monarchs and the development of the capitalism, which mainly started in Europe with
the industrial revolution. I will expand... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nation is not a thing that can be changed or left away easily, he describes is as it is felt to be

Due to the fact Kate and Suzie are cousins the court will assume that the agreement to purchase
the airline ticket was made in a social context Kate and Suzie did not intend to be legally bound
when the agreement took place. Kate will need to provide sufficient additional facts, where the
court can infer the agreement between her and Suzie was intended to give rise to an enforceable
contract in order to rebut the courts presumption of agreement between family members. Kate
could argue that as Suzie is owner and employee of ValUtrav Pty Ltd, Suzie acted on behalf of the
company. Kate s consideration in form of the email in return for the promise by way of ensuring it
was sent to the company in the time specified by Suzie also indicated the agreement between the
parties intended to be legally binding at the time of the agreement, therefore the act was sufficient

the travel agency. Question (b) 10 marks Assume the elements of intention and consideration

The Last Jedi Poster Analysis
Star Wars: The Last Jedi has yet another promotional item that goes in a vaguely familiar direction
for these sorts of things.
While Star Wars News Net may have decided to focus on what s new in the latest promotional
item for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we here at Culturess noticed something different: that this
reminds us, in a number of ways, of pieces we ve seen before in the realm of Star Warsmarketing
tools.
First off, Luke Skywalker is occupying a very similar position to the one Darth Vaderdoes in this
well known poster from The Empire Strikes Back. In fact, The Last Jedi even has the same
concept of two visual masses at the center, just reversed in which one s larger and more prominent.
For Empire, it s Han and Leia to the right; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, check out this poster from Attack of the Clones. There s another use of both orange
and red. Last Jedi certainly skews more reddish orange, but also borrows the idea of a blue
lightsaber illuminating part of a main character s face in this case, it s Rey again, and Obi Wan on
Attack of the Clones.
Third, Revenge of the Sith actually combines both of these ideas: the palette as well as the looming
presence in the upper left.
Fourth, to talk about the droids (again), it s good to see that R2 D2 is on the right and C 3PO is on
the left. That one goes all the way back to A New Hope ... er, Star Wars.
There are some other points to note as well. Kylo Ren s expression here is particularly intriguing it
s very obviously conflicted. That s something that not even Anakin ever managed on any of the
posters he features in. Not even any of the Revenge of the Sith or The Phantom Menace pieces
really come close to capturing such emotion.
Look to the right of Kylo Ren as well. Although it doesn t seem like there are actually two suns, a
brief glance might make one think that there are. Look behind both the X Wings and the TIE
Fighters, and you might see what, given the colors used, almost looks like a binary sunset. That s
the kind of callback we like to

Passover Religion
We don t usually think of Palm Sunday as a dangerous day. But it was for Jesus. And it is for us.
For Jesus, the Palm Sunday peril came both from without and from within. The external threat was
obvious.
Jesus had decided to make a public announcement of his true identity. For some time his disciples
had believed him to be the fulfillment of God s promise to send a Savior. But, until this moment,
according to Mark, Jesus had forbidden them to speak of him as Messiah. Now, it was time to go
public. Zechariah had prophesied that the Messiah would arrive riding on a donkey. And that, quite
intentionally, is how Jesus entered Jerusalem.
This messianic signal was especially dangerous because it coincided with the feast of
Passover. Passover, with its remembrance of the ancient ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

won t be asked to speak in tongues, handle snakes. Or encounter the wrong kind of people. Now,
this is satire. But it is also uncomfortably relevant. Focus groups can tell us how to orient ourselves
successfully to cultural trends. And counter trends. And they have done so impressively for
churches where, today, there are four thousand or more in attendance. But focus groups do not tell
us how to orient ourselves to Jesus. MacChurch is inclined to cast

Immigrants Children Impacted In School
Blog Post #7: Immigrants Children Impacted in School. It is very common for immigrant children
to be discriminated in school. This can impact the way they learn and the way they view
themselves. In the early stages of childhood, children begin to learn how people view each other.
The Migration Policy Institute states, Discrimination can have particularly negative ramifications
for the development of young children s sense of self and social identity. If people around children
communicate distaste for their appearance, language, or cultural values, children internalize
negative views of themselves. Discrimination is particularly harmful in the early years, when
children are in the process of developing a sense of self. There is evidence that

the Gibbs Model of Reflection (1988) which consists of five elements. They are the descriptions,

Fogg s The Novel Around The World
. I disagree because Fogg has several encounters with natives in British colonies that are far from
civil. For example, while in India, Fogg stumbles upon a village in which a ritual sacrifice of a
widow is taking place, despite sacrifice being illegal under the British crown. When Fogg and
his party are seen by the villagers, they hastened into the forest, followed by the soldiers, who
fired a volley after the fugitives (Verne 43). This shows that despite British imperialism, many
British lands were not civil, and Verne does not present them as such. Varshini is incorrect in
saying that the British were a civilizing force in the world because they were unable to enforce
their laws, and did little to civilize the areas the colonized.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Fogg resolves this conflict by saying he has a deposit of twenty thousand pounds at Baring s
which [he] will willingly risk upon it (Verne 11). This bold statement shows a lot about Fogg s
character. It shows that although he is well educated, he is willing to take risks to prove a point
and protect his dignity. It also shows that Fogg is a very confident man.
One of the most interesting incidents in the story occurs when Fogg is traveling from Bombay to
Calcutta. He purchases a train ticket and is on his way when he discovers that the tracks will only
take him as far as Kholby. This incident is particularly interesting because it is the first time in the
novel that Fogg has to improvise in order to stay on track. Sir Francis informs Fogg that there is an
elephant nearby. Verne writes that Phileas Fogg, without getting the least bit flurried, offered to
purchase the animal outright (Verne 34). Fogg handles this situation very calmly and explains that
with twenty thousand pounds at stake, they must take every measure to ensure their success. This
incident and the way Fogg handles it show his ability to compromise and act under pressure. He
does not act rashly, but instead stays calm and takes the first available means of transportation.
Overall, this incident makes Fogg a round character because it develops his character and shows

Transgenderity And Transgenderism
In today s society the Christian Church is being strongly criticized because of their stance on
homosexuality and transgenderism. Some Christians have chosen to remain silent on the issue
while others have decided to scream their distaste for homosexuality in the faces of others. Some
Christians have fallen into the trap of false teachings and believe that who you are and who you love
is out of your control, and no one should have to suppress their desires. Regardless, the Word of
God is crystal clear when describing what romantic relationships should look like and how to
approach others who disagree with that. It is most important that Christians know the Word of God
so that they can stand up for the truth.
Morgan Guyton s The Christians United Statement in Support of LGBT Inclusion, presents rather
perplexing theology. To open the article, Guyton condemns the statements made by the members
of the Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood advocating for traditional, heterosexual
marriage. He then goes on to examine, or more accurately agree with, the ideas laid out by the
Christians United organization. One of the main ideas given by the Christians United organization
is that all people are created in the image of God, and that God, as stated in article 1, is not limited
to a gender binary, of male and female (Guyton). While God may or may not be limited to that
binary, His creation certainly is. Genesis 1:27 does state that man is created in the image of God,

Comparing Egypt And Mesopotamia
Egyptian and Sumerian religions developed differently because their respective geographic
environments caused them to hold divergent views of their lives. Since the geography in Sumer
and Egypt was different, they held different views about their gods and beliefs. Even though they
were two of the first civilizations, they developed different beliefs about their religion.
The rivers and land were in both Sumer and Mesopotamia, a big part of the development of their
views on religion. Mesopotamia was known as the land between two rivers because they were
surrounded by the Euphrates and Tigris River. Annually the rivers would flood fertilizing Sumer s
land. Sumerians took advantage of the floods to help fertilize their land but also knew that when
big floods occurred the gods were sending a punishment of their wrong doings. ... Show more

crops were grown on the fertilized land, the burials all took place in the dessert. The Egyptians

theme of the night was When Worlds Collide. The speaker during this video was Anthony
Griffith. This video was the second most popular video on The Moth s youtube channel. During
his speech, Griffith talks about how he managed to balance his job as a comedian while his two
year old daughter was dealing with cancer. He opens with the Charles Dickens quote It was the
best of times, it was the worst of times, from the classic novel A Tale of Two Cities. In 1990,
Griffith and his family moved to Los Angeles from Chicago, to seek his fame and fortune. Within
a couple of weeks of being in Los Angeles, he received two phone calls that would change his life...

How do you plan for your child s death? Nothing can prepare you for death. He had an entire life
with his daughter envision within his mind. He had plans for buying her first bike, plans for
walking her to school, plans for taking pictures of her on her prom day, plans for walking her
down the aisle on her wedding day, not a plan for buying her a dress to be buried in. He felt
helpless and didn t know what to do, so he wanted to call his parents to ask them what should he
do. Suddenly, a voice from within him told him to man up and to understand that he s not the
parent going through what he s going through. There are also people with worse situations than
him. By the time he made his third Tonight Show appearance, his daughter had passed away. No
one knew that he was mourning and that he couldn t careless about The Tonight Show or Johnny

predictable but it worked well and provided the audience with

Installing A Realistic Wireless Sensor Network Setting
Abstract Hierarchical routing is a promising approach for point to point routing with very small
routing state. While there are many theoretical analyses and high level simulations demonstrating
its benefits, there has been little work to evaluate it in a realistic wireless sensor network setting.
Based on numerous proposed hierarchical routing infrastructures, we surveyed some hierarchical
clustering algorithms and briefly discussed them. Main purpose of this paper is to present some
recent hierarchical protocols and point out silent features of them. These routing protocols very
much benefit in prolonging network lifetime and save energy of sensornodes.

Due to limited and non rechargeable energy provision, the energy resource of sensor networks
should be managed wisely to extend the lifetime of sensors. Sensor networks have recently
emerged as a platform for several important surveillance and control applications .Each sensor
has an onboard radio that can be used to send the collected data to interested parties. One of the
advantages of wireless sensors networks (WSNs) is their ability to operate unattended in harsh
environments in which contemporary human in the loop monitoring schemes are risky,
inefficient and sometimes infeasible. Therefore, sensors are expected to be deployed randomly
in the area of interest by a relatively uncontrolled means, e.g. dropped by a helicopter, and to
collectively form a network in an ad hoc manner. In order to achieve high energy efficiency and
increase the network scalability, sensor nodes can be organized into clusters. Data collected from
sensors are sent to the cluster head first, and then forwarded to the base station. Network lifetime
can be defined as the time elapsed until the first node (or the last node) in the network depletes its
energy (dies). A number of protocols have been proposed to reduce useful energy consumption.
These protocols can be classified into three classes. Protocols in the first class control the
transmission power level at each node to increase network capacity while

Teen Mothers And The Rates Of Teen Pregnancy
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), The United States ranks first among
developed nations in rates of both teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (Stanger
Hall, Kathrin F., and David W. Hall, paragraph 1). In 2015, there were a total of 229,715 babies
born to teen moms between the ages of 15 19 (Reproductive Health: Teen Pregnancy, paragraph 1).
It is not just becoming a problem; it has been a problem for a while. It does not help the problem
when there are reality television shows making it look glamorous to be a young mom. Shows like
Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant makes it seem like no matter what goes wrong, everything always
ends happily ever after. Unfortunately, for most people (teen moms included) life is not a fairy
tale, not everyone gets a happily ever after.
There are many reasons why we need to decrease teen pregnancy rates. The first of which is the
economic costs. According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) In 2010, teen
pregnancy and childbirth accounted for at least $9.4 billion in costs to U.S. taxpayers for increased
health care and foster care, increased incarceration rates among children of teen parents, and lost tax
revenue because of lower educational attainment and income among teen mothers (Reproductive
Health: Teen Pregnancy, paragraph 9).
Having a screaming child around does not make it easy study. Teenage parents have a significantly
lower graduation rates verses teenager who do not have

The evening after the crystal ball you tube episode, what Loki had originally planned as night of

The Crucible Definition
Nowhere in Arthur Miller s masterpiece, The Crucible , is there a mention of any form of a
Crucible. Where did Arthur Miller come up with the title of his play? In fact he uses the title as a
metaphor for both definitions of the term. The title The Crucible can be interpreted as having
characteristics of both a crucible from chemistry and a crucible to describe hard tests and trials.
The easiest definition to explain is the physical, more literal form of a crucible. It is a piece of
laboratory equipment used to heat chemical compounds to high temperatures. A crucible can be
looked at as a small container filled with large, violent reactions; almost exactly like what happened
in the summer of 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts. With all the residents of Salem jammed in that
tiny village, there were bound to be some red hot flares. If we were to compare the play to the
chemistry set up, the bunsen burner would be the same as Abigail Williams, the one who ignites
the situation; the tripod is comparable to the court system, the system that supports the situation;
the cover of the crucible is the same as the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is a place or occasion of severe tests or trials. There are a lot of tests going on in The Crucible ,
the tests to determine who is and who isn t a witch, the tests to determine one s standing with the
court and the tests of who is and who isn t telling the truth. Then there are, quite literally, the trials
that the accused must undergo. As well as the inner most trials where a character s beliefs are put
to the test. The most notable character who experiences this trial is Reverend Hale; who, after the
first batch of hangings commence, escapes into the woods to strengthen his faith in the Lord and in
the faith of the court of Salem. Salem metaphorically became a crucible for every instance and
procedure experienced throughout the timeline of the

of comparisons with Vincent Van Goghs art Starry Night. Both paintings were painted near the end
of the period, during the fin de siГЁcle, using bright embroidered colors and simpleminded figures
and shapes. Both artists struggled with insanity during their lifetimes, but these paintings are some
of the most reproduced and famous pieces of art in the world today. These paintings were made to
express emotions and feelings felt from their own life. Although they bear superficial similarities,
the differences between Van Gogh and Munch are remarkable.
If you were to look at these images of art what emotions do you think the artists were feelings.
When The Scream was painted Munch was trying to express the interior cry of a soul projected
onto nature. In the painting he used red paint to indicate horror, blood, and anguish. Which was
used to show the clouds as blood. Also that the human head has become a deaths head, and his body

Importance Of Baroque In Art
A number of modern artists have focused on reflecting personal perception of the world through a
contemporary Baroque style in art. The increasing popularity of Baroque nowadays is due to the
complex processes that took place in society and the solutions the modern culture has to offer to
resolve them. Truly, through the history, the emergence of Baroque
elements has always reflected the
complexity of human life, followed by technological progress and cultural exchange. Eventually,
Baroque, the style characterized by extravagance and drama, has been defined as anti classical,
innovative and experimental, intended to touch directly the beholder, individual of diverse and
pluralistic society.
At the same time, Baroque has influenced not every medium of art in the works of contemporary
artists of the 21st century. Such elements as sculpture, architecture, and music have been hardly
influenced by the inspirations of the previous centuries. Indeed, the style that has emerged during
the period of discoveries in new sciences, exploration of new lands, increased trade and the
reformation of church, could barely provide any solutions for artists born three centuries later,
especially in those mediums of art, where the reference for the past signifies of the regression of an
art element development.
Indeed, it is not possible to imagine someone could compete with Gianlorenzo Bernini in feeling of
the Baroque style in sculpture. Thus, the most prominent works of the artist, known for

What Were The Effects Of Counterculture In The 1960 s
1. Those beautiful people
If it feels good, do it! Life is about being happy, not what others think you should be. This hippies
primary ideology was primitive, however the path leading to happiness was full of stones and
roots. Below we will investigate, who those awkward youngsters in the Sixties were, what they
thought and believed in, supported and rejected, destroyed and built up.
1.1 Who are Hippies?
Hippies were people mostly of young age, who generally refused to be a part of established
institution. They were individuals and expressed it vividly through their wild and free lifestyle.
Hippies wanted to replace a disappointedly materialistic, corrupted society, which their ancestors
and parents had built for them, with an Utopian society. They opposed any action of harming and
killing, often reflected by their vegetarian diet, eco friendly practices and particularly protesting
against nuclear weapons, Vietnam War, Civil Rights movement during 1960s. Hippies sought for a
meaning in life, some of them found it in Eastern philosophy (Buddhism, Yoga, meditation), some
found it in free love and sexual liberation, many found it by exploring consciousness through effects

Early Signs Of Abscess In The Tooth
An abscess in the tooth refers to an infection that was caused by a pocket of pus existing in the
tissue throughout the tooth. If they aren t treated promptly, abscesses are extremely acute ailments,
and may lead to even more serious conditions. When the pulp of a tooth dies due to decay or
damage, bacteriawill start to grow from the dead tissue that is left. These bacteria will eventually
spread into the tissue that s below from the root of the tooth that is dead and make a pocket of
pus the abscess. Tooth Abscess Causes Gum disease is a cause for a tooth. Gum disorders cause

Balloons are a very enjoyable thing. But they might have a dark side. They are harmful to many of
our earth s environmental factors, such as, wildlife, natural resources, and toddlers could be very

Balloons are a negative impact on wildlife. They effect a lot of sea creatures, because many sea

Although balloons can be a fun party decoration, if you don t be careful when they pop, babies

Persuasive Essay On Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park, untamed wild beauty. Stunning landscapes, beautiful waterfalls and
rivers, breathtaking wildlife, and geothermal activity all come together to make Yellowstone an
amazing place. People come from all over the world to witness the beauty of Yellowstone. It is a
regulated national park for a reason, it is so amazing, so beautiful, so spectacular to not preserve
it. It hosts bison, elk, deer, bald eagles, bears, moose, beavers, and amazing trout rivers,
everything a perfect mountain ecosystem should hold. However now there is something else,
something that is natural, was removed but has now returned, flourishing and benefiting its
surroundings. Wolves, have been reintroduced into Yellowstone and have greatly benefited the
area. These wolves have started a positive and beneficial renewal in the park. The reintroduction
of wolves into Yellowstone National Park is beneficial because they created and natural and
beneficial trophic cascade, other animals in the park benefited from the wolves, and because the
land was able to regrow and flourish due to the wolves presence. Since the reintroduction of
wolves into Yellowstone they have created an astounding and advantageous trophic cascade. A
trophic cascade is an ecological phenomenon triggered by the addition or removal of top
predators and involving reciprocal changes in the relative populations of predator and prey
through a food chain. These often result in dramatic changes in ecosystem structure and nutrient
cycling. In a three level food chain, an increase (or decrease) in carnivores causes a decrease (or
increase) in herbivores and an increase (or decrease) in primary producers such as plants and
phytoplankton according to briticanna (how to make better). The entire ecosystem was able to
become whole again because the wolves, a key species, were reintroduced. Now this may seem
weird, a predator comes into the area a begins to kill animals, how can this be beneficial in any
way? Well the fact of the matter is that it is extremely beneficial. The reason being the problem
in Yellowstone was the overpopulation of the elk. These elk had no predators, they were free to
roam and reproduce, and they did this very well. Now elk are also a

A Brief Note On The Affordable Care Act
Just as the Affordable Care Act has it s positive outcomes that can help many people, it also
comes along with several downsides. The first downside is that the Affordable Care Act will not
only raise taxes to help fund for it but it will affect many of the high earners because they will
have to pay higher taxes. Not only that is an issue but will also hurt those middle class Americans
that do not quite make enough but at the same time are not completely living in poverty. These
people will be the most affected by the taxes because it will affect our American Citizens directly.
Also, these taxes are not quite specified but it is stated that even larger firms will have to pay a
larger sum of moneydue to the taxes being enforced with the Affordable Care Act. They will
begin to see a negative financial effects as well as their employees because they will also be held
accountable to get those taxes take from their paychecks so they too will see a negative financial
effect. Quite Frankly, that is a very tough to happen to employers and employees because they
work hard to make ends meet and if additional taxes are going to be added to their paychecks to
deduct more of their pay it can really hurt the employee as well as their family. Another Con that the
Affordable Care Act brings to the table is that health insurancewill rise and be more costly for our
American Citizens. They do say the quality will improve in the long run but it was never mentioned
specifically of the amount

The Nigerian banking industry is one of the most dynamic and competitive industries in the
Country. The banking industry has transformed rapidly in the last ten years, shifting from
transactional and customer service oriented to an increasingly aggressive environment in which
competition for revenue is top priority.
The Nigerian Bank can now fit into the global definition of bank. Consolidation of the Nigerian
Banking sector is one of many reforms of the Gen. Obasanjo s administration that Nigerians have to
embrace happily. (Victor E, 2007)
Prior to the reforms, the industry was highly fragmented, with many banks having very small and

Employee retention has therefore become one of the biggest problems in these sectors. As such,

The Consolidation in the banking industry has also given rise to competiton among banks for
skilled labour .Competition for talent is on the increase, and many companies are going to great

Artists of The Impressionism Movement Essay
Impressionism was born from the urge to break free from the constraints of Art forms in the 19th
century. Many studies under mentors who passed on the traditional styles painting form and figure,
but some spoke of revolutionizing the art world. World events and public attitude toward art
allowed impressionists to break free from the mainstream French Art scene.
Impressionism was initially forged out of a love for nature. The artists were interested in depicting
reality as they saw beauty in even the mundane facets of life. The brush strokes and color changes
are obvious and the choppy effect sometimes has to be viewed at a distance to determine the

After much persistence and rejection, by 1868 all of the Intransigents were displayed at the Salon.
Once they were in, they were dissatisfied with the profit driven atmosphere of the Salon and
sought to have their own exhibition. They had little success with their own exhibition and during
the Franco German war, their leader Bazille was killed in action. A young artist by Edward Degas
joined the group shortly bringing a renewed sense of passion for exhibiting their impressionist
works. The group began planning their first exhibition separate from the Salon.
The effects of the Franco Prussian war rippled throughout France years after it ended in 1871.
The government saw the need to rebuild France and sought to start by rebuilding the hopes of
the people in government through art. The Salon became the outlet for patriotic and rebuilding

this and spoke out on the lack of genius coming from French artists of that time. One critic,
Charles Blanc, compared the state sponsored gallery to a supermarket and suggested the artists

Impressionists. By no accident, they displayed their own exhibition a week after Blanc s article
was published. The exhibition was held in the renowned photographer Nadar s studio and Degas

Persuasive Essay On Community Service
The options for community service are endless. After narrowing down my options, I applied to
volunteer at the Crystal Lake Public Library this past summer. Having to go in for an interview
was a new experience for me, considering how I have never applied for a job. I believe that the
exposure to the interview process did two things for me: first, it put me out of my comfort zone,
and second, it taught me invaluable lessons about applying for future jobs and programs. This is
because I am the kind of person who can get nervous easily, and I struggle to hide it sometimes.
An interview is a type of situation that I would feel nervous in; however, I was able to overcome
my fear and apply to the library anyways. Therefore, I learned what I should expect to be asked,
and I understand how I should properly respond. Once I was accepted to the library s volunteer
network, I was able to choose which department I would work for in order to serve the community.
By volunteering at the library, I improved the Youth Services department, particularly by
participating in the Adopt a Shelf program. One part of my job was to rearrange the books in the
correct order when they got disorganized. This made it easier for parents and children to find the
books, movies, and CDs they were looking for. Another task that I enjoyed was replacing the
books to their proper location from the clean up cart. It is important for books to be on the
shelves where they belong because otherwise it appears that books are not available. My favorite
part of volunteering for the library, however, was getting to help kids pick out the books they
were looking for. I remember many of the people I helped, but one of my fondest moments
occurred on one of my first days. I was working in the junior fiction department, and there was a
young girl there. She wanted to find a new series of books to read for the summer reading
program. It was special to show her the novels that I read when I was her age, especially when she
chose to start the Mother Daughter Book Club books: my favorite series in middle school. It was
moments like that that made me proud to be a part of the Crystal Lake Public Library and their
volunteer team. As a result of my work at the

Oppression And Poverty In A Piece Of Streak By Jack London
In the short story, A Piece of Streak by Jack London, the ideation of oppression and poverty by
displayed the protagonist , Tom King, he is a retired fighter, that struggles with his current situation.
The sense of struggle and sadness is developed through the reoccurring themes of oppression and
poverty, symbolism of the tobacco less pipe and the dull and lifeless tone created through diction
and literary devices. The theme of oppression is one of the main concepts that is explored by his
failure to provide the basics of life, including: food, proper clothes, and a reliable income.
Without these basic needs of life, a family in society would be considered improvised. The
reader learns that the King family struggles to provide food for the children. The narrator states
that, the two children in the other room had been sent early to bed in order that in sleep they
might forget they had gone supperless (London 1). The inability to provide a meal for his
children and wife is a clear example of poverty. In connection, the only food they are able to
purchase is considered lower class food. The narrator mentions that Tom s dinner consisted of.
flour [that have been borrowed from the neighbour] for the gravy. The last two ha pennies had
gone to buy bread (1). As mentioned before, bread and low quality gravy is a lower class meal
and is inexpensive. However, the family is still unable to provide food for dinner, one of the
basics of life. Another component that is mentioned by the narrator that reflects oppression and
poverty is the fact that they do not have proper and purposeful clothing. Within the character
description, it is stated that Tom s appearance consists of a cotton shirt, a cheap, two shilling
affair, showed a frayed collar (1). Due to lack of financial security, they are unable to provide
better clothes. The theme of oppression and poverty is an significant to develop the plot and create
images throughout the text. The symbolism of the pipe is a significant to the theme of oppression
and poverty, while developing the protagonist. The pipe represents what he used to have, which is
now gone. In his youthful years, Tom was a successful fighter. However, as he aged, he became
unable to continue

Adam Smith Biography
The influence that philosophers have upon each other no intellectual historian will doubt. I don t
think it would be erroneous to say that Adam Smith admired Isaac Newton and imitated his method.
In discussing Isaac Newton s mechanical system of the universe, Smith praised Newton for
scientifically proving irregular and regular planetary motion by connecting celestial and terrestrial
phenomena with the principle of gravity. Smith writes, it was the greatest and most admirable
improvement that was ever made in philosophy. Furthermore he writes that Newton s principles
have a degree of firmness and solidity that we should in vain look for in any other system. In
Skinner and Campbell s biography of Adam Smith, they argue that Smith would... Show more

Again, in his criticism, Smith stresses that all systems even systems of thought are like machines.
Smith writes: Systems in many respects resemble machines. A machine is a little system, created to
perform, as well as to connect together, in reality, those different movements and effects which the
artist has occasion for. A system is an imaginary machine invented to connect together in the fancy
those different movements and effects which are already performed. Also, Smith appears to be
pleased with the ability of Newton to explain phenomena that appeared unexplainable, by deducing
it from one principle known to mankind. Contrasting the methods of Aristotle with the methods of

Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD, 1996) indicates that
contemporary economies are increasingly based on knowledge and information. OECD analysis is
increasingly directed to understanding the dynamics of the knowledge based economy and its
relationship to traditional economics. According to OECD, knowledge based economy is directly
based on the production, distribution and use of knowledge and information, and it is considered: .
an innovative economy, in terms of knowledge content; . a networked economy, in terms of
knowledge presentation; . a learning economy, in terms of knowledge social type; and . a green
economy, in terms of organization sustainability. This is also reflected in the trend in OECD
economies towards growth in high technology investments, high technology industries, more highly
skilled labor and associated productivity gains.
This study aims to propose a model to explore the relationships among human resource management
, organizational learning, organizational innovation, knowledge management capability and
organizational performance using structural equation modeling. The research participants are from
208 electronic manufacturing companies. The study particularly targets management level

This was really good because many books tend to stop the story before telling its readers how the
lives of its characters were going. The Epilogue at the end of the story also helped to inform the
reason for the book. Summary of Content: Three black boys grew up in the ghetto
neighborhoods of Newark, New Jersey. Those streets were highly influenced by gang activity,
drugs and poverty. Due to the conditions that stood before the young boys, they were forced to
look to their grimy environment for guidance. George, Rameck and Sam met at University High
School, a high school for the gifted children in Newark. While they all were smart, none of them
worked to their full potential. They tried to keep one foot in their old neighborhoods and one
foot inside the schools. After two of them went to juvenile jail and the other was tired of dealing
with the neighborhood kids, the three became friends. As friends they went to a college seminar
that was there to encourage black teen to join the medical field. George had always had a dream
of becoming a Dentist and he was able to talk his two best friends Rameck and Sam into going to
the college with him. Sam was really unsure that he wanted to be a doctor, but he just agreed
anyway because he knew he wanted to make something of himself and this seemed like a good
way to do just that. They went to Seton Hall together and Sam and Rameck were slightly separated

Persuasive Essay On Racial Profiling
In the United States racial profiling affects thousands of Americans every single day. Not many
people think about what racial profiling is, some people think it don t even think it exists or how
it affects everyday lives, but you or anyone could have possibly done it. Racial profiling is the use
of raceor ethnicity as grounds for suspecting someone to committing an offense. According to
American Civil Liberties Union, Racial profilingis a nation wide problem. Stories have been
reported across the country not only by everyday citizens, but doctors, lawyers, judges, legislators,
police/military officers, and celebrities . Even though racial profiling is widespread, it should be
stopped because of its negative effects on people and America.
So why does racial profiling affect most races or ethnicity?
In an article by Evan Horowitz from The Boston Globe, was a great point about racial profiling
Horowitz says, When police start targeting people based on their race, it effectively puts a whole
community under suspicion. What is more, it virtually guarantees that the innocent will regularly
find themselves stopped by police, for little reason beyond the color of their skin . A good example
which proves the statement he made is true is police brutality. A lot of police brutality cases have
happened in the recent past of this year in addition to starting the Black Lives Matter protesting.
But, a case of police brutality that deals with racial profiling that stands out to me

My Philosophy Of Education Essay
Philosophy of Education My purpose of getting any education was to learn all that I can learn and
to be a productive citizen in today s society. My purpose of getting an education and pursuing a
degree in elementary education is to have an impact on many students futures, change students
lives, and to help students to believe in themselves. I will do this by believing in my students and
pushing them to achieve their goals. As a teacher, I understand that politics and geographic zones
have a big influence on what schools are supplied with, and they can have an impact on the
educationthat a student gets. As a teacher, I will not let these things get in the way of providing my
students with a quality education, and I will not let these things hinder what my students learn. My
philosophy of education is that every child should be given a chance to learn. All children are

students and have high expectations for these students as well. Some trends of education are similar
to my philosophy of education. All children don t learn on the same styles, and some teachers
understand that. The only thing I don t agree with about the educational system in today s society is
the standardized testing. This is mostly in the public school system. As an inspiring teacher, I
understand that all students will not test well. I don t think a test should determine whether a child
passes or fails, but I do think it should determine what a teacher spends more time on with that

Women Should Be Allowed For The Military Combat Just Like...
Woman should be allowed to serve in the military combat just like the men. The year 1994 was
the year they banned women from being in military combat. Ever since January 2013 they have
tried to find ways to lift the ban. In January 2016 they had to decide whether women should or
should not be in combat. Women have performed in combat some have even died in defense of our
county. The woman served regardless the problem.
It was recommended by the marine corps to open up positions to women regardless of the results.
The Woman have tried to pass tests as individuals but the infantry officer course failed in the past
years. Two females have been in training for the army and have passed it and are now qualified to
be in the army in combat with men. The two woman are serve as rangers in the military. One thing
that kept them motivated was they wanted to do their best to prove that other woman can meet the
same standards as men. Many women were motivated and capable to join the marines.
Months later and are now in training to be evaluated. The rangers had to complete three courses
to become part of the combat. The rangers have a fitness course and they have to run an obstacle
course, hike twelve miles carrying a 47 pound backpack all done under three hours. One of the
phases is called the Mountain phase. It was made so the mountain would exhaust the rangers while
they are under mental health plus they have very little food and very little sleep. They added a knot

The Religious Believer s Explanation for the Existence of...
The problem of evil and suffering presents a real problem to the religious believer because it
compels them to accept conflicting claims that are logically impossible to reconcile. Religious
followers often question the nature of God and whether or not he is the type of God we are led to
believe. St Augustine said that if Godcannot stop evil and suffering he is not all powerful if he
will not stop evil and suffering then he is not all good. However Augustine did not actually
believe this to be true he set it out as something which he was going to solve. Surely God can do all
that is logically possible if he created the world out of nothing. If God is supposedly all knowing
then he should know how to stop evil and suffering. If God is all... Show more content on

J.L. Mackie a modern philosopher had a similar approach to Hume and he believed that God could
not be both omnibenevolent and omnipotent if evil exists. He labelled this the inconsistent triad
and believed that you could not have all three conflicting claims at once.
Flew another modern philosopher looked at the possibility that God may not love us. He
believed the biggest challenge to the believer is allowing the challenge of God s existence and
demanding an answer. He said it is not enough to just say that God s love is different to ours
because it is the simplest explanation. If we do this we are just qualifying God s love as opposed
to demanding a solution and finding good reason why he should not intervene.
A possible solution to the problem of evil is the Augustinian theodicy which is based on Genesis. St
Augustine argued that in genesis 1 God is seen as creating a world that is perfectly good and
free from defect. He said that this was clearly outlined in G1:31 where it says God saw what he
had made and it was very good. He believed that evil itself is not a thing or substance therefore
God did not create it. Augustine argue that evil was the going wrong of something good and as a
result Augustine termed evil as a privation of a good that did not come from God but entities with
free will such as angels and humans who were willing to give

Golden State Warriors Team Analysis
It s no surprise that when a team starts to break records at a rapid pace, people start to wonder
whether they are the on of the best teams all time, if not the greatest. That s what the current
Golden State Warriors team is doing right now. People did not expect them to be playing at such
a high level after their historic year last year. They started off this year with a bang, behind
reigning MVP Stephen Curry, and they are yet to slow down. They are currently on pace to break
the single season record set by the Chicago Bulls in 1996 behind Michael Jordan, and this run is
starting people to debate whether this Warriors team is better than the Bulls team from 1996, who
are currently considered the greatest team of all time. Many different claims have been brought
up, such as the Bulls are better because they had Michael Jordan or the Warriors are better because
they have a deeper team. Those supporting the Warriors have agued that the records they are
breaking and the pace that they are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 2. Analysis Of Eve s Apology On The Fall Of Humanity Essay Although Aemilia Lanyer and John Milton were both writing on the Fall of humanity, their approaches to this topic were vastly different. Lanyer wrote Eve s Apology in Defense of Women, in order to combat the widely believed cultural idea of the time that placed the fault of the Fall entirely on Eve. Milton, on the other hand, is attempting to explore this biblical story in Paradise Lostto prove that Adam and Evehad free will, thus absolving God of responsibility for the fall. Lanyer and Milton differ in their portrayal of the fall through their depiction of Adam and Eve s relationship and their ideas about the free will of each of the characters. These factors ultimately lead Milton to present a portrait of the fall that seems more balanced and accurate. One of the reasons for which Milton and Lanyer portray the Fall differently in their texts is because of their views on the relationship between Adam and Eve. Firstly, although Lanyer does acknowledge that Adam and Eve share a strong bond, she often represents the relationship of Adam and Eve as a dictatorship, portraying Adam as the dictator. Because of this unbalanced power structure, which, in Lanyer s eyes, overtly favors Adam over Eve, Lanyer absolves Eve of responsibility for the Fall and places the blame squarely on Adam even though Eve offered the fruit to Adam. In portraying this perceived power structure, Lanyer states, Let not us women glory in men s fall / Who had power given to overrule us all (Lanyer, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Problems Faced By The Spot Foreign Exchange Markets problems in currency market In the spot foreign exchange markets, there are several broad areas of potential abuse, which may occur on a stand alone basis or in combination: (c) In cases of pricing benchmarks which are determined by actual executed trades during a defined window such as the WM/Reuters rate 60 second window, traders executing trades during the window with the intention of moving the benchmark, including splitting such trades into strategic blocks for maximum benchmark impact, thereby making a greater spread where subsequently executing a client order at a guaranteed or limit price; (d) Traders colluding with traders at other dealers to execute trades during the pricing window at off market prices where the other trader is ... If a firm or approved person engages in any of the activities described in 1 above, the principle may be breached and there may, depending on the facts, also be rule breaches in relation to client confidentiality. For breaches of rules and principles, the FCA can impose a fine and give public censure. Fines are commensurate with the seriousness of the breach and will be determined by reference to the FCA s usual criteria. If manipulation in the spot markets turns out not to be the only instance of foreign exchange rate manipulation, and manipulative practices are also used in currency swaps, then individuals may also face censure under FSMA since these are qualifying investments and therefore subject to the market abuse regime. http://www.bbc.com/news/business 26526905 1.Explain how the particular financial service is regulated? (3 Marks) Federal and state governments have a myriad of agencies in place that regulate and oversee financial markets and companies. These agencies each have a specific range of duties and responsibilities that enable them to act independently of each other while they work to accomplish similar objectives. Although opinions vary on the efficiency, effectiveness and even the need for some of these agencies, they were each designed with a goal in mind and will most likely be around for some time. • 5. Negative Essay On Vegetarianism According to a recent poll, 6 to 8 million Americans do not eat meat, fish, or poultry. From these people studies have been done about the effects of a vegetarian diet on the body. Compared to meat eaters, vegetarians consume less saturated fat and cholesterol from not eating meat. This diet leads to better long term health. Research so far has shown that a vegetarian diet reduces the risk of heart disease. In recent years a study was done using 76,000 participants and the results showed that vegetarians were 25% less likely to die from a cardiac event such as a heart attack. This is because vegetarians tend to consume more high fiber, whole grains, and legumes which have a low glycemic index and the body digests slowly. This keeps blood sugar levels steady. Another food item that helps reduce the risk of heart disease is walnuts. The omega 3s in walnuts help reduce total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. There is some controversy over whether vegetarians are significantly healthier. Also, discussing the differences in the types of vegetarians. And portray the different sides of vegetarianismfrom leading experts. Different people follow different forms of vegetarianism. A true vegetarian eats no meatat all, including chicken and fish, whereas a lacto ovo vegetarian eats dairy products and eggs, but excludes meat, fish, and poultry. It follows, then, that a lacto vegetarian eats dairy products but not eggs, whereas an ovo vegetarian eats eggs but not dairy products ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Insurable Interest Essay What is Insurable Interest in a Maritime Insurance Policy The term insurable interest refers to the benefit (or interest) a person has in an insured object (or person as in a life insurance insurable interest). This benefit can refer to a financial benefit, among others. A person has insurable interest in a thing when he or she would experience some kind of loss (financial or otherwise) if the thing were to be damaged or lost. Say that you have piece of jewelry in your home that is also a family heirloom. If someone were to steal it (or if you were to drop it down the sink, or in the toilet, or even lose it in the garbage) you would suffer different kinds of loss, both financial and emotional. Thus, you have an insurable interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is no requirement of insurable interest when the contract is made. This section also allows the subject matter of a marine policy to be insured lost or not lost . This means that it is possible for the insured to recover under a marine policy even if he acquired his interest after the loss has occurred, unless he was aware of the loss and the insurer was not. These rules reflect the practices of marine trade where cargo frequently changes ownership in the course of transit. In this case there is a transfer of rights i.e assignment of interest. Assignment of Interest may be done by endorsement in blank that is to sign the policy. Alternatively, this can be also done by signing in favor of one other person. In turn, only that person can then claim to be the rightful owner. The law permits this unless the policy states otherwise. However, hull policies prohibit assignment even though the marine act promotes this transfer of rights. An interesting fact is that companies can have insurable interest in their workers, both in higher ups and in those lower down the ladder. There has been some controversy about this recently, where companies took life insurance policies out on their employees without their employees consent. In these instances, the companies collected the policies on their deceased employees, who sometimes did not even work for them anymore. Of course companies have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Student Code Of Professional Responsibility As members of Western College of Law, and, moreover, as members of the legal and academic communities, students must hold themselves to the highest standards of ethical behavior. An individual whose actions impugn the integrity of his self or herself necessarily impugn the integrity of the institutions and communities in which they are permitted membership. Moreover, those who would practice law have a sworn duty to the People, who must trust in the honor and integrity of their legal advocates and representatives. Section IV (A)(1)(2) and (3) of the Student Code of Professional Responsibility (Student Code) dictates, [a]ny conduct pertaining to academic or other University matters that evidences fraud, deceit, [or] dishonesty constitutes a violation of the Student Code. Furthermore, it states, [a]ny criminal act that raises serious doubts about the accused student s honesty, integrity or fitness to practice law constitutes a violation of the student code. Mr. O Shea committed this act purposefully and knowingly in violation of section IV (B). The Committee should expel Mr. Oshea from Western College of Law. Admission to the State Bar will require that Mr. Oshea to prove that he [i]s a person of good moral character, which may be proved by any evidence satisfactory to the court. Furthermore, the State Bar often considers an applicant s financial integrity. In Application of Taylor, the Supreme Court of Oregon denied the applicant, relying heavily on the evidence that the he had committed theft and that he had exhibited dishonest financial practices. Mr. Oshea s offense covers both of these grounds with a single act. The Committee should apply the same logic to its decision. Though this recommendation is admittedly severe, the details Mr. Oshea s actions clearly warrant expulsion. Mr. Oshea intentionally committed fraud. As a law student, he cannot reasonably claim ignorance to the illegality of his actions. Additionally, Mr. O Shea stole a sum of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Reflection Of The Imagined Community This paper is a book report of Benedict Anderson s famous book Imagined community: Reflection on the Origin and spread of Nationalism. It was published by Verso in 1983 and had revisions in 1991 and 2006 with some additional chapters and it became one of the most read books on nationalism. Anderson explains that the concept of nationalism is a very new but a powerful concept, which has been neglected by many important thinkers. Nationalism according to him is connecting bound among the people of a nation, which creates an imagined community. People do not know each other personally but they share a nation, which makes them tied to each other. When it comes to the reason of why it is emerging in the modern times, he explains that the main underlying reason behind the growth of the imagined communities is the rise of the movements against the monarchs and the development of the capitalism, which mainly started in Europe with the industrial revolution. For a contract to exist parties to an agreement must intend to create legal relations. Due to the fact Kate and Suzie are cousins the court will assume that the agreement to purchase the airline ticket was made in a social context Kate and Suzie did not intend to be legally bound when the agreement took place. Kate will need to provide sufficient additional facts, where the court can infer the agreement between her and Suzie was intended to give rise to an enforceable contract in order to rebut the courts presumption of agreement between family members. Kate could argue that as Suzie is owner and employee of ValUtrav Pty Ltd, Suzie acted on behalf of the company. Kate s consideration in form of the email in return for the promise by way of ensuring it was sent to the company in the time specified by Suzie also indicated the agreement between the parties intended to be legally binding at the time of the agreement, therefore the act was sufficient consideration for the counter promise to be enforced. It can be concluded that the elements of intention and consideration has been met for there to be an enforceable contract between Kate and the travel agency. Question (b) 10 marks Assume the elements of intention and consideration required for the formation of a contract exists. • 10. The Last Jedi Poster Analysis Star Wars: The Last Jedi has yet another promotional item that goes in a vaguely familiar direction for these sorts of things. While Star Wars News Net may have decided to focus on what s new in the latest promotional item for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we here at Culturess noticed something different: that this reminds us, in a number of ways, of pieces we ve seen before in the realm of Star Warsmarketing tools. First off, Luke Skywalker is occupying a very similar position to the one Darth Vaderdoes in this well known poster from The Empire Strikes Back. In fact, The Last Jedi even has the same concept of two visual masses at the center, just reversed in which one s larger and more prominent. For Empire, it s Han and Leia to the right; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, check out this poster from Attack of the Clones. There s another use of both orange and red. Last Jedi certainly skews more reddish orange, but also borrows the idea of a blue lightsaber illuminating part of a main character s face in this case, it s Rey again, and Obi Wan on Attack of the Clones. Third, Revenge of the Sith actually combines both of these ideas: the palette as well as the looming presence in the upper left. Fourth, to talk about the droids (again), it s good to see that R2 D2 is on the right and C 3PO is on the left. That one goes all the way back to A New Hope ... er, Star Wars. There are some other points to note as well. Kylo Ren s expression here is particularly intriguing it s very obviously conflicted. That s something that not even Anakin ever managed on any of the posters he features in. Not even any of the Revenge of the Sith or The Phantom Menace pieces really come close to capturing such emotion. Look to the right of Kylo Ren as well. Although it doesn t seem like there are actually two suns, a brief glance might make one think that there are. Look behind both the X Wings and the TIE Fighters, and you might see what, given the colors used, almost looks like a binary sunset. That s the kind of callback we like to ... • 11. Passover Religion We don t usually think of Palm Sunday as a dangerous day. But it was for Jesus. And it is for us. For Jesus, the Palm Sunday peril came both from without and from within. The external threat was obvious. Jesus had decided to make a public announcement of his true identity. For some time his disciples had believed him to be the fulfillment of God s promise to send a Savior. But, until this moment, according to Mark, Jesus had forbidden them to speak of him as Messiah. Now, it was time to go public. Zechariah had prophesied that the Messiah would arrive riding on a donkey. And that, quite intentionally, is how Jesus entered Jerusalem. This messianic signal was especially dangerous because it coincided with the feast of Passover. Passover, with its remembrance of the ancient ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After test marketing various possibilities, I have decided upon the name Middle American Christian Church, or MacChurch for ad purposes. In other words, this will be your basic no surprises church. When Dad brings the family here, he can be sure that they won t be asked to speak in tongues, handle snakes. Or encounter the wrong kind of people. Now, this is satire. But it is also uncomfortably relevant. Focus groups can tell us how to orient ourselves successfully to cultural trends. This can impact the way they learn and the way they view themselves. In the early stages of childhood, children begin to learn how people view each other. The Migration Policy Institute states, Discrimination can have particularly negative ramifications for the development of young children s sense of self and social identity. If people around children communicate distaste for their appearance, language, or cultural values, children internalize negative views of themselves. Discrimination is particularly harmful in the early years, when children are in the process of developing a sense of self. There is evidence that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Fogg s The Novel Around The World . I disagree because Fogg has several encounters with natives in British colonies that are far from civil. For example, while in India, Fogg stumbles upon a village in which a ritual sacrifice of a widow is taking place, despite sacrifice being illegal under the British crown. When Fogg and his party are seen by the villagers, they hastened into the forest, followed by the soldiers, who fired a volley after the fugitives (Verne 43). This shows that despite British imperialism, many British lands were not civil, and Verne does not present them as such. Varshini is incorrect in saying that the British were a civilizing force in the world because they were unable to enforce their laws, and did little to civilize the areas the colonized.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fogg resolves this conflict by saying he has a deposit of twenty thousand pounds at Baring s which [he] will willingly risk upon it (Verne 11). This bold statement shows a lot about Fogg s character. It shows that although he is well educated, he is willing to take risks to prove a point and protect his dignity. It also shows that Fogg is a very confident man. One of the most interesting incidents in the story occurs when Fogg is traveling from Bombay to Calcutta. He purchases a train ticket and is on his way when he discovers that the tracks will only take him as far as Kholby. This incident is particularly interesting because it is the first time in the novel that Fogg has to improvise in order to stay on track. Sir Francis informs Fogg that there is an elephant nearby. Verne writes that Phileas Fogg, without getting the least bit flurried, offered to purchase the animal outright (Verne 34). Fogg handles this situation very calmly and explains that with twenty thousand pounds at stake, they must take every measure to ensure their success. This incident and the way Fogg handles it show his ability to compromise and act under pressure. He does not act rashly, but instead stays calm and takes the first available means of transportation. Overall, this incident makes Fogg a round character because it develops his character and shows ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Transgenderity And Transgenderism In today s society the Christian Church is being strongly criticized because of their stance on homosexuality and transgenderism. Some Christians have chosen to remain silent on the issue while others have decided to scream their distaste for homosexuality in the faces of others. Some Christians have fallen into the trap of false teachings and believe that who you are and who you love is out of your control, and no one should have to suppress their desires. Regardless, the Word of God is crystal clear when describing what romantic relationships should look like and how to approach others who disagree with that. It is most important that Christians know the Word of God so that they can stand up for the truth. Morgan Guyton s The Christians United Statement in Support of LGBT Inclusion, presents rather perplexing theology. To open the article, Guyton condemns the statements made by the members of the Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood advocating for traditional, heterosexual marriage. He then goes on to examine, or more accurately agree with, the ideas laid out by the Christians United organization. One of the main ideas given by the Christians United organization is that all people are created in the image of God, and that God, as stated in article 1, is not limited to a gender binary, of male and female (Guyton). While God may or may not be limited to that binary, His creation certainly is. Genesis 1:27 does state that man is created in the image of God, but it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While there are many theoretical analyses and high level simulations demonstrating its benefits, there has been little work to evaluate it in a realistic wireless sensor network setting. Based on numerous proposed hierarchical routing infrastructures, we surveyed some hierarchical clustering algorithms and briefly discussed them. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Due to limited and non rechargeable energy provision, the energy resource of sensor networks should be managed wisely to extend the lifetime of sensors. Sensor networks have recently emerged as a platform for several important surveillance and control applications .Each sensor has an onboard radio that can be used to send the collected data to interested parties. One of the advantages of wireless sensors networks (WSNs) is their ability to operate unattended in harsh environments in which contemporary human in the loop monitoring schemes are risky, inefficient and sometimes infeasible. Therefore, sensors are expected to be deployed randomly in the area of interest by a relatively uncontrolled means, e.g. dropped by a helicopter, and to collectively form a network in an ad hoc manner. In order to achieve high energy efficiency and increase the network scalability, sensor nodes can be organized into clusters. Data collected from sensors are sent to the cluster head first, and then forwarded to the base station. Network lifetime can be defined as the time elapsed until the first node (or the last node) in the network depletes its energy (dies). A number of protocols have been proposed to reduce useful energy consumption. These protocols can be classified into three classes. Protocols in the first class control the transmission power level at each node to increase network capacity while ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In fact he uses the title as a metaphor for both definitions of the term. The title The Crucible can be interpreted as having characteristics of both a crucible from chemistry and a crucible to describe hard tests and trials. The easiest definition to explain is the physical, more literal form of a crucible. It is a piece of laboratory equipment used to heat chemical compounds to high temperatures. A crucible can be looked at as a small container filled with large, violent reactions; almost exactly like what happened in the summer of 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts. With all the residents of Salem jammed in that tiny village, there were bound to be some red hot flares. The increasing popularity of Baroque nowadays is due to the complex processes that took place in society and the solutions the modern culture has to offer to resolve them. Truly, through the history, the emergence of Baroque elements has always reflected the complexity of human life, followed by technological progress and cultural exchange. Eventually, Baroque, the style characterized by extravagance and drama, has been defined as anti classical, innovative and experimental, intended to touch directly the beholder, individual of diverse and pluralistic society. At the same time, Baroque has influenced not every medium of art in the works of contemporary artists of the 21st century. Such elements as sculpture, architecture, and music have been hardly influenced by the inspirations of the previous centuries. Indeed, the style that has emerged during the period of discoveries in new sciences, exploration of new lands, increased trade and the reformation of church, could barely provide any solutions for artists born three centuries later, especially in those mediums of art, where the reference for the past signifies of the regression of an art element development. • 34. Persuasive Essay On Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone National Park, untamed wild beauty. Stunning landscapes, beautiful waterfalls and rivers, breathtaking wildlife, and geothermal activity all come together to make Yellowstone an amazing place. People come from all over the world to witness the beauty of Yellowstone. It is a regulated national park for a reason, it is so amazing, so beautiful, so spectacular to not preserve it. It hosts bison, elk, deer, bald eagles, bears, moose, beavers, and amazing trout rivers, everything a perfect mountain ecosystem should hold. However now there is something else, something that is natural, was removed but has now returned, flourishing and benefiting its surroundings. Wolves, have been reintroduced into Yellowstone and have greatly benefited the area. These wolves have started a positive and beneficial renewal in the park. The reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park is beneficial because they created and natural and beneficial trophic cascade, other animals in the park benefited from the wolves, and because the land was able to regrow and flourish due to the wolves presence. Since the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone they have created an astounding and advantageous trophic cascade. A trophic cascade is an ecological phenomenon triggered by the addition or removal of top predators and involving reciprocal changes in the relative populations of predator and prey through a food chain. These often result in dramatic changes in ecosystem structure and nutrient cycling. In a three level food chain, an increase (or decrease) in carnivores causes a decrease (or increase) in herbivores and an increase (or decrease) in primary producers such as plants and phytoplankton according to briticanna (how to make better). The entire ecosystem was able to become whole again because the wolves, a key species, were reintroduced. Now this may seem weird, a predator comes into the area a begins to kill animals, how can this be beneficial in any way? Well the fact of the matter is that it is extremely beneficial. The reason being the problem in Yellowstone was the overpopulation of the elk. These elk had no predators, they were free to roam and reproduce, and they did this very well. Now elk are also a ... The first downside is that the Affordable Care Act will not only raise taxes to help fund for it but it will affect many of the high earners because they will have to pay higher taxes. Not only that is an issue but will also hurt those middle class Americans that do not quite make enough but at the same time are not completely living in poverty. These people will be the most affected by the taxes because it will affect our American Citizens directly. Also, these taxes are not quite specified but it is stated that even larger firms will have to pay a larger sum of moneydue to the taxes being enforced with the Affordable Care Act. They will begin to see a negative financial effects as well as their employees because they will also be held accountable to get those taxes take from their paychecks so they too will see a negative financial effect. Quite Frankly, that is a very tough to happen to employers and employees because they work hard to make ends meet and if additional taxes are going to be added to their paychecks to deduct more of their pay it can really hurt the employee as well as their family. Another Con that the Affordable Care Act brings to the table is that health insurancewill rise and be more costly for our American Citizens. Many studies under mentors who passed on the traditional styles painting form and figure, but some spoke of revolutionizing the art world. World events and public attitude toward art allowed impressionists to break free from the mainstream French Art scene. Impressionism was initially forged out of a love for nature. The artists were interested in depicting reality as they saw beauty in even the mundane facets of life. A young artist by Edward Degas joined the group shortly bringing a renewed sense of passion for exhibiting their impressionist works. The group began planning their first exhibition separate from the Salon. The effects of the Franco Prussian war rippled throughout France years after it ended in 1871. The government saw the need to rebuild France and sought to start by rebuilding the hopes of the people in government through art. The Salon became the outlet for patriotic and rebuilding themes since it was a State sponsored gallery. Many critics became aware of the problems with this and spoke out on the lack of genius coming from French artists of that time. One critic, Charles Blanc, compared the state sponsored gallery to a supermarket and suggested the artists have more freedom in displaying their art. • 41. Persuasive Essay On Community Service The options for community service are endless. After narrowing down my options, I applied to volunteer at the Crystal Lake Public Library this past summer. Having to go in for an interview was a new experience for me, considering how I have never applied for a job. I believe that the exposure to the interview process did two things for me: first, it put me out of my comfort zone, and second, it taught me invaluable lessons about applying for future jobs and programs. This is because I am the kind of person who can get nervous easily, and I struggle to hide it sometimes. An interview is a type of situation that I would feel nervous in; however, I was able to overcome my fear and apply to the library anyways. Therefore, I learned what I should expect to be asked, and I understand how I should properly respond. Once I was accepted to the library s volunteer network, I was able to choose which department I would work for in order to serve the community. By volunteering at the library, I improved the Youth Services department, particularly by participating in the Adopt a Shelf program. One part of my job was to rearrange the books in the correct order when they got disorganized. This made it easier for parents and children to find the books, movies, and CDs they were looking for. Another task that I enjoyed was replacing the books to their proper location from the clean up cart. It is important for books to be on the shelves where they belong because otherwise it appears that books are not available. My favorite part of volunteering for the library, however, was getting to help kids pick out the books they were looking for. I remember many of the people I helped, but one of my fondest moments occurred on one of my first days. I was working in the junior fiction department, and there was a young girl there. She wanted to find a new series of books to read for the summer reading program. It was special to show her the novels that I read when I was her age, especially when she chose to start the Mother Daughter Book Club books: my favorite series in middle school. Oppression And Poverty In A Piece Of Streak By Jack London In the short story, A Piece of Streak by Jack London, the ideation of oppression and poverty by displayed the protagonist , Tom King, he is a retired fighter, that struggles with his current situation. The sense of struggle and sadness is developed through the reoccurring themes of oppression and poverty, symbolism of the tobacco less pipe and the dull and lifeless tone created through diction and literary devices. The theme of oppression is one of the main concepts that is explored by his failure to provide the basics of life, including: food, proper clothes, and a reliable income. The inability to provide a meal for his children and wife is a clear example of poverty. In connection, the only food they are able to purchase is considered lower class food. The narrator mentions that Tom s dinner consisted of. flour [that have been borrowed from the neighbour] for the gravy. The last two ha pennies had gone to buy bread (1). Another component that is mentioned by the narrator that reflects oppression and poverty is the fact that they do not have proper and purposeful clothing. Within the character description, it is stated that Tom s appearance consists of a cotton shirt, a cheap, two shilling affair, showed a frayed collar (1). Due to lack of financial security, they are unable to provide better clothes. The theme of oppression and poverty is an significant to develop the plot and create images throughout the text. He believed the biggest challenge to the believer is allowing the challenge of God s existence and demanding an answer. He said it is not enough to just say that God s love is different to ours because it is the simplest explanation. If we do this we are just qualifying God s love as opposed to demanding a solution and finding good reason why he should not intervene. A possible solution to the problem of evil is the Augustinian theodicy which is based on Genesis. St Augustine argued that in genesis 1 God is seen as creating a world that is perfectly good and free from defect. He said that this was clearly outlined in G1:31 where it says God saw what he had made and it was very good. He believed that evil itself is not a thing or substance therefore God did not create it.
