13 Tracking mid-shot showing jack in a
box with the handle spinning.
14 Camera zooms/tracks closer to the
jack in a box, then the clown suddenly
pops up.
15 Extreme high angled close up of the
victim character, the character looks
in distress.
16 Cut back to the shower curtain shot
(shot number 5)
17 Cut back to shot 15, however this time
the character has blood on her face.
18 Black out. Sudden.

2. 19 Film title animation
20 Extreme close up of distressed victim
character. The character will be in the
shower, with her make-up running
down her face.
21 Cuts to mid shot with the victim
positioned left in the frame.
22 Cut to a mid shot of a mirror, showing
the victim character looking in the
mirror.
23 Keeping the same camera position,
the victim covers/wipes her face with
her towel.
24 When the towel is lowered from the
characters face, we see a sudden cut
of the scare character jumping out.
This will be accompanied by
heightened diegetic sound.
Easby Abbey 25 Cut back to establishing long shot of
Easby Abbey, victim character is stood
(right of the shot).
26 Sudden cut to scare character
positioned frame left.
27 Characters disappear then text title

31-36 The opening titles will end of montage
showing all the scenes previously
shown in the titles. For example, the
Easby Abbey shot, the hand in the
shower, the flickering light, the mirror
and the two characters. As the
montage progresses the editing pace
and intensity will increase. The sound
will build up and then suddenly end
on a close up shot of the scare
character.
