Infinity Ink – Infinity Music Video Rough Edit Evaluation
The song which was chosen for a music video was Infinity by Infinity Ink. We had three days
to do the filming before editing our rough edit. We edited the video on Adobe Premiere Pro
and have uploaded the video to Youtube.
Whilst creating and editing the rough edit one of the first problems I came across was that
as a group we didn’t have enough footage to fill the length of the chosen music piece. I
overcome this issue by reusing and recycling footage we already had. In my final edit I will
have access to Adobe After Effects so I will be able to reuse footage by changing and
manipulating aspects of the video to make it appear that there’s enough footage and also I
will be able to add effects to make the video keep to the codes and conventions for this
genre of music of fast paced and colourful.
The main changes I will be making on the final edit will be made using Adobe After Effects. I
plan on changing the colours and contrasts from as they are to be more colourful and to
have colours flashing like a strobe light effect throughout the video to keep it in the codes
and conventions of a dance/house genre music video.
More changes I’ll be making will be the whole pace of the video as it needs to have a quicker
atmosphere and feel to the video. I will do this using Adobe Premiere Pro and possibly
Adobe After Effects. I will trim clips and reuse, repeat and rewind so the video doesn’t stick
to one scene for longer than a few seconds.
