The proposed music video for "Aphasia - Mr Fijiwiji" would explore a man recalling a breakup through hazy shots while in the hospital. Shots of past affection would be juxtaposed with separation. At the end the man is revealed to be in the hospital, recalling the past. For "Fake You Out - Twenty One Pilots" the video would show a protagonist's facade breaking through scenes in non-chronological order. Shots of happiness would be juxtaposed with sadness and isolation. During the rap the truth would be revealed through cutting scenes. The video for "Radioactive - Imagine Dragons" would follow multiple people exploring an abandoned earth.

1. Music Video Ideas
Aphasia – Mr Fijiwiji
A man, presumably with mental health problems or
aphasia themselves, explores their loss of love
through a series of past recollections as they explore
the void that is their mind. Amplified meaning of
both the lyrics and the title of the song with a
underlying narrative.
Fake You Out – Twenty One Pilots
Exploring the theme of anxiety through façade and
deception, the main character feels alone in a world
full of people and constantly feels like an outcast.
The video takes place inside the characters head,
where each scene is treated as a memory of the
protagonist. This is alluded to at the end of the
video, when a shot shows them in solitude.
Radioactive – Imagine Dragons
People are individually searching for something in a
dystopian world, however it is unclear what they are
searching for throughout the video. The video plays
on the theme of the song, but compares it to the real
world at the end, alluding to the fact that modern
day verses a dystopian apocalypse setting aren’t too
different.

2. Aphasia – Mr Fijiwiji
For the music video, I would like to take the idea of the title of the song ‘Aphasia’, which is the inability to either understand
or produce speech as a result of brain damage. Due to the nature of the lyrics, the underlying narrative of the music video
would explore a man who is recalling a break up while lying in hospital, however this factor will only be revealed at the end of
the video.
The video would consist of artistically out of focus shots and wide shots, utilizing the framing of dead space to convey the idea
that the main character of the video has distanced themselves from their significant other. Canted angles would also help
imply that something is off throughout the video. While the lyrics are playing, multiple references would be made towards the
concept of a breakup, but these shots would be hazy, alluding to the fact that they occurred in the past. At the end, as the
music dissipates, there will be a lingering shot of the main character lying in a hospital bed as the camera slowly tracks out of
the room.

3. Fake You Out – Twenty One Pilots
The idea I have for the video will take certain lyrics from the song and link them to a few visuals while also taking an amplified
approach to the meaning. It would follow a broken narrative that is shown in unchronological order, focusing on a male
protagonist as he thinks about different situations he has been in that link either almost directly or abstractly to the lyrics.
Starting off slowly, the video will have a few establishing shots set at nighttime with the protagonist walking alone and an out
of focus shot of cars driving past. When the main verse starts, as does the narrative, showing scenes of the main character
laughing with friends and having a good time. These scenes would then be juxtaposed respectfully with the character feeling
sad, having a breakdown, or being on their own. There will be instances of short scenes where the 180 line is used in
conversations where characters mime to the lyrics. Wide shots would help create the feeling of the protagonist distancing
themselves and others. During the rap/bridge there would be a lot of cutting to match the fast paced music, during this time
the narrative will show the façades being broken and the truth coming out.

4. Radioactive – Imagine Dragons
I would like the music video to have an explorative feel to it, where multiple people are walking around a presumably
abandoned earth, each individually, searching around for something. At the end of the video all of the characters meet up in a
modern city setting. This would compare the idea of a derelict world to that of modern day life, where scenes side by side
compliment each other.
The video would incorporate a lot of camera movement, including pans, tilts and tracking as it follows the character(s) during
the scenes. Wide shots to establish the locations explored as well as over the shoulder shots that focus on the background
rather than the subject. Near the end of the video, there will be a match on action shot with one of the characters turning
around in the apocalyptic’ location and then finishing turning around in the ‘city’ location.
