Beyond the EU: DORA and NIS 2 Directive's Global Impact
Music consumption
1. What do I listen to?
The genres of music that I enjoy and listen to
the most is EDM (electronic dance music) and
Jazz; the two genres couldn't be any more
different but when mixed together it has a very
unique charm to it also known as 'Electro
Swing' this genre consists of brass instruments
such as trumpets, saxophones, trombones etc.
Which plays with and electronic beat and
drops.
EDM is a wide variety genre which has
many sub genres such as electro, techno
and more, my favorite types of EDM are
remixes and some original songs made by
less popular artists e.g. 'Unlike Pluto' and
'Decoy!'
Jazz is a genre which has subgenres as well
such as swing, ragtime jazz, folk jazz etc. It
has many instruments like saxophones,
trumpets etc.
My favorite artists in EDM
are Unlike Pluto, Decoy!,
BOXINLION, Tomsize and
more
My favorite artists in Jazz
are Benny Goodman and
Nina Simone
My favorite artists in
Electro Swing are Parov
Stelar, Peggy Suave, Jamie
Berry, The electric swing
circus, and the
Swingrowers
2. How do I access/buy music?
• I do own a digital music collection with all of my
favorite songs.
• I get all of my music from YouTube as some of the
music I listen to can't be found anywhere else and
download it on a different site.
• The website says it's legal so I'm saying it probably
isn't.
• I only get single tracks because getting an album for
one or two songs is pointless.
• My music is virtual it's easier than having CDs and
also it's free (the way I do it anyway).
• I'm not subscribed to any music services (unless you
count YouTube channels then yes I am).
• I spend nothing on music because my way of
obtaining music is free and somehow 'legal.
A YouTube channel
3. How do I listen to music?
• The devices I use to listen to music are my
phone, my computer and my console.
• I use YouTube to listen to my music
because there are some artists that
become famous on YouTube for their music
and there are also music labels that are on
YouTube to help raise awareness for
smaller artists e.g. Trap Nation, Monstercat
etc.
• I mostly listen my when I'm walking to and
from College and during lessons when I'm
allowed to and during breaks as well.
• I don't go to live gigs.
• I've never seen anyone live.
• I've spent nothing on live music events.
My music consumption more
different than similar to other
people's consumption; most people
don't even know that Electro Swing
was a thing, it makes sense as it's not
a widely known genre, most don't like
Jazz and there were more similarities
with the EDM genre.
