Multi-touch interaction in this case refers to human
interaction with a computer where more than one finger
can be used to provide input at a time .
The benefits of this are that the multi touch interaction is
very natural, and it inherently provides support for
simultaneous multi user input.
Introduction
Multitouch Gesture Authentication
Stages:
 1. enrollment stage
 2.verification stage
Steps to verify a Multi-touch Gesture
 Pre-processing
 Feature transformation
 Pair wise distance calculation
 Score calculation
1.The system preprocess multi touch gesture data by
reliability each and every touch point according to the
corresponding fingertip in order to make the comparable.
2.The system derives relation and translation increases
features represent the gesture .
3. Pair wise distance between pairs of enrolled samples as
well as between enrolled samples and a gesture inputs are
computed.
4. A dissimilarity score is finally calculated from these pair
wise distance. at the end the multi touch gesture is
accepted if and only the dissimilarity score is less than a
predefined threshold.
Advantages:
 Flexibility
 Fast
 Simultaneous usage
 User friendly
 Versatile
 Value for money
 Attractive and Interesting
Performance Evaluation Metrics
 FAR(false acceptance rate)
 FRR(false rejection rate)
 EER(equal error rate)
Conclusion
 There is much work to be done in the future before the
touch phased authentication system is ready to be
employed in practice.
 This includes but is not limited to enhancing the security
of the system as well as studying user’s willingness and
learnability for adopting this new authentication scheme.
