Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is an accumulation of movable nodes organizing a irregular topology without centralized administration. In a MANET, multicasting is a significant technique for utilizing data communication system. Multicasting based enhanced proactive source routing is proposed in this paper for Mobile Ad hoc Networks. It explains an innovative multicasting algorithm that considers the transmission energy and residual energy while forwarding the data packets. It improves the network throughput and raises the network lifetimes. Simulation analysis is carried in this proposed system and this method shows improved performance over the existing system.

Energy efficiency and traffic management in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) is a complex process due
to the self-organizing nature of the nodes. Quality of service (QoS) of the network is achieved by
addressing the issues concerned with load handling and energy conservation. This manuscript proposes a
min-max scheduling (M2S) algorithm for energy efficiency and load balancing (LB) in MANETs. The
algorithm operates in two phases: neighbor selection and load balancing. In state selection, the
transmission of the node is altered based on its energy and packet delivery factor. In the load balancing
phase, the selected nodes are induced by queuing and scheduling the process to improve the rate of load
dissemination. The different processes are intended to improve the packet delivery factor (PDF) by
selecting appropriate node transmission states. The transmission states of the nodes are classified through
periodic remaining energy update; the queuing and scheduling process is dynamically adjusted with energy
consideration. A weight-based normalized function eases neighbor selection by determining the most
precise neighbor that satisfies transmission and energy constraints. The results of the proposed M2SLB
(Min-Max Scheduling Load Balancing) proves the consistency of the proposed algorithm by improving the
network throughput, packet delivery ratio and minimizing delay and packet loss by retaining higher
remaining energy.

Actual network size depends on the application and the protocols developed for the routing for this kind of
networks should be scalable and efficient. Each routing protocol should support small as well as large
scale networks very efficiently. As the number of node increase, it increases the management functionality
of the network. Graph theoretic approach traditionally was applied to networks where nodes are static or
fixed. In this paper, we have applied the graph theoretic routing to MANET where nodes are mobile. Here,
we designed all identical nodes in the cluster except the cluster head and this criterion reduces the
management burden on the network. Each cluster supports a few nodes with a cluster head. The intracluster
connectivity amongst the nodes within the cluster is supported by multi-hop connectivity to ensure
handling mobility in such a way that no service disruption can occur. The inter-cluster connectivity is also
achieved by multi-hop connectivity. However, for inter-cluster communications, only cluster heads are
connected. This paper demonstrates graph theoretic approach produces an optimum multi-hop connectivity
path based on cumulative minimum degree that minimizes the contention and scheduling delay end-toend.
It is applied to both intra-cluster communications as well as inter-cluster communications. The
performance shows that having a multi-hop connectivity for intra-cluster communications is more power
efficient compared to broadcast of information with maximum power coverage. We also showed the total
number of required intermediate nodes in the transmission from source to destination. However, dynamic
behavior of the nodes requires greater understanding of the node degree and mobility at each instance of
time in order to maintain end-to-end QoS for multi-service provisioning. Our simulation results show that
the proposed graph theoretic routing approach will reduce the overall delay and improves the physical
layer data frame transmission.
A NOVEL HYBRID OPPORTUNISTIC SCALABLE ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING DESIGN FOR LOW...IJCNCJournal

Opportunistic Routing (OR) scheme increases the transmission reliability despite the lossy wireless radio links by exploiting the broadcast nature of the wireless medium. However, OR schemes in low power Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) leads to energy drain in constrained sensor nodes due to constant
overhearing, periodic beaconing for Neighbourhood Management (NM) and increase in packet header length to append priority wise sorted Forwarding Candidates Set (FCS) prior to data transmission. The timer-based coordination mechanism incurs the least overhead to coordinate among the FCS that has successfully received the data packet for relaying the data in a multi-hop manner. This timer-based mechanism suffers from duplicate transmissions if the FCS is either not carefully selected or coordinated. The focus of this work is to propose a hybrid opportunistic energy efficient routing design for large scale, low power and lossy WSN. This design avoids periodic 'hello' beacons for NM, limits constant overhearing and increase in packet header length. There are two modes of operation i) opportunistic ii) unicast mode. The sender node adopts opportunistic forwarding for its initial data packet transmission and instead of pre-computing the FCS, it is dynamically computed in a completely distributed manner. The
eligible nodes to be part of FCS will be neighbour nodes at lower corona level than the sender with respect to the sink and remaining energy above the minimum threshold. The nodes part of FCS based on crosslayered multi-metrics and fuzzy decision logic determines its priority level to compute Dynamic Holding
Delay (DHD) for effective timer coordination. The differentiated back off implementation along with DHD enables the higher priority candidate that had received data packet to forward the packet first and facilitates others to cancel its timer upon overhearing. The sender node switches to unicast mode of
forwarding for successive transmissions by choosing the forwarding node with maximum trust value as it
denotes the stability of the temporally varying link with respect to the forwarder. The sender node will revert to opportunistic mode to increase transmission reliability in case of link-level transmission error or no trustworthy forwarders. Simulation results in NS2 show significant increase in Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR),decrease in both average energy consumption per node and Normalized Energy Consumption (NEC) per packet in comparison with existing protocols.
Optimized Cluster Establishment and Cluster-Head Selection Approach in WSNIJCNCJournal

In recent years, limited resources of user products and energy-saving are recognized as the major challenges of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Clustering is a practical technique that can reduce all energy consumption and provide stability of workload that causes a larger difference in energy depletion among other nodes and cluster heads (CHs). In addition, clustering is the solution of energy-efficient for maximizing the network longevity and improvising energy efficiency. In this paper, a novel OCE-CHS (Optimized Cluster Establishment and Cluster-Head Selection) approach for sensor nodes is represented to improvise the packet success ratio and reduce the average energy-dissipation. The main contribution of this paper is categorized into two processes, first, the clustering algorithm is improvised that periodically chooses the optimal set of the CHs according to the speed of the average node and average-node energy. This is considerably distinguished from node-based clustering that utilizes a distributed clustering algorithm to choose CHs based on the speed of the current node and remaining node energy. Second, more than one factor is assumed for the detached node to join the optimal cluster. In the result section, we discuss our clustering protocols implementation of optimal CH-selection to evade the death of SNs, maximizing throughput, and further improvise the network lifetime by minimizing energy consumption.

With the rapid growth of wireless communication infras,,tructure over the recent few years, new
challenges has been posed on the system and analysis on wireless adhoc networking. Implementation of
MIMO communication in such type of network is enhancing the packet transmission capabilities. There
are different techniques for cooperative transmission and broadcasting packet in MIMO equipped
Mobile Adhoc Network. We have employed a model network in the OPNET environment and propose a
new scheduling algorithm based on investigating the different broadcasting algorithm. The new
broadcasting algorithm improves the packet transmission rate of the network based on energy
performance of the network and minimizes the BER for different transmission mode which is illustrated
in this paper. The simulations are done in MATLAB and OPNET environment and the simulated result
for the packet transmission rate are collected and shown in the tabular form. Also simulate the network

the model network. The main focus is to minimize BER and improve information efficiency of the

Rough set based QoS enabled multipath source routing in MANET IJECEIAES
Â
The single constrained Quality of Service (QoS) routing in Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is disastrous in consideration of MANET characteristics, inference, collision and link failure as it maintains a single path. The QoS enabled routing yields better packet delivery and maintains consistency among nodes in the network by incorporating multi-constrained and multipath routing. The Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) is best suited source routing algorithm to maintain multipath information at the source node, but performance degrades with larger number of mobile nodes. Multilayer mechanism should be incorporated to maintain QoS metric information spreads across multiple layers of TCP/IP protocol stack. The proposed multipath QoS enabled source routing provides balanced routing by making use of all these features. The imprecise decision making strategy called Rough Set Theory (RST) is used at destination node for decision making. The Route REQuest (RREQ) messages coming from different routes are filtered by considering the QoS metrics of each and every route by making use of RST. The Route REPly (RREP) messages are generated and delivered to the source node for filtered RREQ messages. The proposed routing algorithm will reduce load on the network by reducing number of control messages exchanged for route establishment. This will evenly distribute load among all the nodes and it also avoid the scenarios like few nodes starved for resources. Finally, multipath routing always provides alternate routing option in case of route failure.
SECTOR TREE-BASED CLUSTERING FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING PROTOCOL IN HETEROG...IJCNCJournal
Â
One of the main challenges for researchers to build routing protocols is how to use energy efficiently to extend the lifespan of the whole wireless sensor networks (WSN) because sensor nodes have limited battery power resources. In this work, we propose a Sector Tree-Based clustering routing protocol (STB-EE) for Energy Efficiency to cope with this problem, where the entire network area is partitioned into dynamic sectors (clusters), which balance the number of alive nodes. The nodes in each sector only communicate with their nearest neighbour by constructing a minimum tree based on the Kruskal algorithm and using mixed distance from candidate node to base station (BS) and remaining energy of candidate nodes to determine which node will become the cluster head (CH) in each cluster? By calculating the duration of time in each round for suitability, STB-EE increases the number of data packets sent to the BS. Our simulation results show that the network lifespan using STB-EE can be improved by about 16% and 10% in comparison to power-efficient gathering in sensor information system (PEGASIS) and energy-efficient PEGASIS-based protocol (IEEPB), respectively.

Limited FGC (LFGC), Uniform FGC (UFGC), Limited Average FGC (LAFGC) and Quasi Uniform FGC

effectiveness measures pertained to the standard of services undergone by users with the probability that a
fresh call first arrives the system and find all busy channels at the time, the probability that a fresh call
arrives the system from the orbit and find all busy channels at the time and the probability that a handover

Adaptive QoS Multicast Routing with Mobility Prediction in MANETs ijasuc

A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile hosts that form a temporary network
without a centralized administration or wired infrastructure. Due to the high mobility of nodes, the network
topology of MANETs changes very fast, making it more difficult to find the routes that message packets use.
Network control with Quality of Service (QoS) support is a key issue for multimedia applications in MANET.
Most of the real time applications have stringent requirements on bandwidth, delay, delay-jitter, packet loss
ratio, cost and other QoS metrics. This paper proposes a Multi-constrained QoS routing with mobility
prediction protocol. If the node has enough resources to transmit data packets, it uses the Global
Positioning System (GPS) to get the location information of the mobile nodes and selects the routing path
with the maximum Route Expiration Time (RET). A set of static and mobile agents are used to find the
multicast routes and transmit the packets. Extensive simulations have been conducted to evaluate the
performance of MC_MAODV using Network Simulator (NS-2). The simulation results show that the
proposed protocol achieves good performance in terms of improving packet delivery ratio and minimizing
end-to-end delay.
ENERGY EFFICIENT NODE RANK-BASED ROUTING ALGORITHM IN MOBILE AD-HOC NETWORKSIJCNCJournal
Â
Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is an emerging technology, infrastructure less with self-organizing, selfhealing, multi-hop wireless routing networks in real time. In such networks, many routing problems arise due to complexity in the network mobility which results from difficulty in achieving energy efficient routing
in the field of MANET. Due to the dynamic nature and the limited battery energy of the mobile nodes, the communication links between intermediate relay nodes may fail frequently, thus affecting the routing performance of the network and also the availability of the nodes. Though existing protocols are not
concentrating about communication links and battery energy, node links are very important factor for improving quality of routing protocols because Node Rank helps us to determine whether the node is within transmission range or out of transmission range through considering residual energy of the node during the routing process. This paper proposes a novel Energy Efficient Node Rank-based Routing (EENRR)
algorithm which includes certain performance metrics such as control overhead and residual energy in order to improve the Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), and Network Life Time (NLT) from its originally observed routing performance obtained through other existing protocols. Simulation results show that, when the number of nodes increases from 10 to 100 nodes, EENRR algorithm increases the average residual energy by 31.08% and 21.26% over the existing Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and Energy Efficient Delay Time Routing (EEDTR) protocols, respectively. Similarly it increases the PDR by 45.38% and 28.3% over the existing DSR and EEDTR protocols respectively.
A Cluster-Based Routing Protocol and Fault Detection for Wireless Sensor NetworkIJCNCJournal

In Wireless Sensors Networks (WSN) based application, a large number of sensor devices must be deployed. Energy efficiency and network lifetime are the two most challenging issues in WSN. As a consequence, the main goal is to reduce the overall energy consumption using clustering protocols which have to ensure reliability and connectivity in large-scale WSN. This work presents a new clustering and routing algorithm based on the properties of the sensor networks. The main goal of this work is to extend the network lifetime via charge equilibration in the WSN. According to many errors with sensing devices and to have greater data accuracy, we use a quorum mechanism. The proposed algorithms are evaluated widely and the results are compared with related works. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm provides an effective improvement in terms of energy consumption, data accuracy and network lifetime.
An Efficient and Stable Routing Algorithm in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkIJCNCJournal
Â
Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is mainly designed to set up communication among devices in infrastructure-less wireless communication network. Routing in this kind of communication network is highly affected by its restricted characteristics such as frequent topological changes and limited battery power. Several research works have been carried out to improve routing performance in MANET. However, the overall performance enhancement in terms of packet delivery, delay and control message overhead is still not come into the wrapping up. In order to overcome the addressed issues, an Efficient and Stable-AODV (EFST-AODV) routing scheme has been proposed which is an improvement over AODV to establish a better quality route between source and destination. In this method, we have modified the route request and route reply phase. During the route request phase, cost metric of a route is calculated on the basis of parameters such as residual energy, delay and distance. In a route reply phase, average residual energy and average delay of overall path is calculated and the data forwarding decision is taken at the source node accordingly. Simulation outcomes reveal that the proposed approach gives better results in terms of packet delivery ratio, delay, throughput, normalized routing load and control message overhead as compared to AODV.
EFFICIENT PACKET DELIVERY APPROACH FOR ADHOC WIRELESS NETWORKS cscpconf
Â
A wireless ad-hoc network is a collection of nodes which are selfconfiguring,
connected by wireless links. The nodes are free to move randomly and
organize themselves arbitrarily; thus, the network's topology may change rapidly and
unpredictably. These kinds of networks are very flexible and they do not require any
existing infrastructure. Therefore, ad-hoc wireless networks are suitable for temporary
communication links. The biggest challenge in these kinds of networks is to find a path
between the communication end points of nodes that are mobile. Due to the limited
transmission range of wireless interfaces, the communication traffic has to be relayed
over several intermediate nodes to enable the communication between two nodes.
Therefore, these kinds of networks are also called multi-hop ad-hoc networks. The
proposed model is designed to improve the problems of real-time event-based
communication. It improves the packet delivery ratio by prior prediction and reduces
end-to-end packet delay. This in turn improves performance of the routing process
significantly and increases the Quality of Service (QoS).
AN EFFECTIVE CONTROL OF HELLO PROCESS FOR ROUTING PROTOCOL IN MANETSIJCNCJournal
Â
In the mobile ad hoc network (MANET) update of link connectivity is necessary to refresh the neighbor tables in data transfer. A existing hello process periodically exchanges the link connectivity information, which is not adequate for dynamic topology. Here, slow update of neighbour table entries causes link failures which affect performance parameter as packet drop, maximum delay, energy consumption, and reduced throughput. In the dynamic hello technique, new neighbour nodes and lost neighbour nodes are used to compute link change rate (LCR) and hello-interval/refresh rate (r). Exchange of link connectivity information at a fast rate consumes unnecessary bandwidth and energy. In MANET resource wastage can be controlled by avoiding the re-route discovery, frequent error notification, and local repair in the entire network. We are enhancing the existing hello process, which shows significant improvement in performance.
Q-LEARNING BASED ROUTING PROTOCOL TO ENHANCE NETWORK LIFETIME IN WSNSIJCNCJournal
Â
In resource constraint Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), enhancement of network lifetime has been one of the significantly challenging issues for the researchers. Researchers have been exploiting machine learning techniques, in particular reinforcement learning, to achieve efficient solutions in the domain of WSN. The objective of this paper is to apply Q-learning, a reinforcement learning technique, to enhance the lifetime of the network, by developing distributed routing protocols. Q-learning is an attractive choice for routing due to its low computational requirements and additional memory demands. To facilitate an agent running at each node to take an optimal action, the approach considers nodeâs residual energy, hop length to sink and transmission power. The parameters, residual energy and hop length, are used to calculate the Q-value, which in turn is used to decide the optimal next-hop for routing. The proposed protocolsâ performance is evaluated through NS3 simulations, and compared with AODV protocol in terms of network lifetime, throughput and end-to-end delay.
QoS controlled capacity offload optimization in heterogeneous networksjournalBEEI
Â
An efficient resource allocation mechanism in the physical layer of wireless networks ensures that resources such as bandwidth and power are used with high efficiency in spite of low delay and high edge user data rate. Microcells in the network are typically set with bias settings to artificially increase the Signal-to-Interference-Plus-Noise Ratio, thus encouraging users to offload to the microcell. However, the artificial bias settings are tedious and often suboptimal. This work presents a low complexity algorithm for maximization of network capacity with load balancing in a heterogeneous network without the need for bias setting. The small cells were deployed in a grid topology at a selected distance from macrocell to enhance network capacity through coverage overlap. User association and minimum user throughput were incorporated as constraints to enable closer simulation to real word Quality of Service requirements. The results showed that the proposed algorithm was able to maintain less than 10% user drop rate. The proposed algorithm can increase user confidence as well as maintain load balancing, maintain the scalability, and reduce power consumption of the wireless network.
INVESTIGATING MULTILAYER OMEGA-TYPE NETWORKS OPERATING WITH THE CUT-THROUGH T...IJCNCJournal
Â
The continuous increase in the complexity of data networks has motivated the development of more effective Multistage Interconnection Networks (MINs) as important factors in providing higher data transfer rates in various switching divisions. In this paper, semi-layer omega-class networks operating with a cut-through forwarding technique are chosen as test-bed subjects for detailed evaluation, and this network architecture is modelled, inspected, and simulated. The results are examined for relevant singlelayer omega networks operating with cut-through or âstore and forwardâ forwarding techniques. Two series of experiments are carried out: one concerns the case of uniform traffic, while the other is related to hotspot traffic. The results quantify the way in which this network outperforms the corresponding singlelayer network architectures for the same network size and buffer size. Furthermore, the effects of the dimensions of the switch elements and their corresponding reliability on the overall interconnection system are investigated, and the complexity and the relevant cost are examined. The data yielded by this investigation can be valuable to MIN engineers and can allow them to achieve more productive networks with lower overall implementation costs.
MMINIMUM RESOURCE CONSUMPTIONS ROUTING FOR OPTICAL NETWORKSprj_publication

The problem of determining primary and backup paths for survivable optical WDM
networks is considered. Results of various available routing techniques that try to minimize
the combined cost of primary and the backup path are analyzed for the effects on network
parameters such as mean load, variance of the load on route, number of converters required
by the route and the length of the route. The route cost is modelled such a way that it is
extensible to include any new parameter and vary their relative importance. The efficiency of
such wavelength routed networks has been proved to improve for certain parameters, such as
reduction in blocking probability and number of converters required for desired performance.
The routing is enhanced to analyse effect on network parameters for all node full range

A New Efficient Cache Replacement Strategy for Named Data NetworkingIJCNCJournal
Â
The Information-Centric Network (ICN) is a future internet architecture with efficient content retrieval and distribution. Named Data Networking (NDN) is one of the proposed architectures for ICN. NDNâs innetwork caching improves data availability, reduce retrieval delays, network load, alleviate producer load, and limit data traffic. Despite the existence of several caching decision algorithms, the fetching and distribution of contents with minimum resource utilization remains a great challenge. In this paper, we introduce a new cache replacement strategy called Enhanced Time and Frequency Cache Replacement strategy (ETFCR) where both cache hit frequency and cache retrieval time are used to select evicted data chunks. ETFCR adds time cycles between the last two requests to adjust data chunkâs popularity and cache hits. We conducted extensive simulations using the ccnSim simulator to evaluate the performance of ETFCR and compare it to that of some well-known cache replacement strategies. Simulations results show that ETFCR outperforms the other cache replacement strategies in terms of cache hit ratio, and lower content retrieval delay.

IMPROVEMENT of MULTIPLE ROUTING BASED on FUZZY CLUSTERING and PSO ALGORITHM I...IJCNCJournal

One of the most important issues discussed in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is how to transfer information from nodes within the network to the base station and select the best possible route for transmission of this information, taking into account energy consumption for the network lifetime with
maximum reliability and security. Hence, it would be useful to provide a suitable method that would have the features mentioned. This paper uses an Ad-hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) as a routing protocol. This protocol has high energy consumption due to its multipath. However, it is a big challenge if it can reduce AOMDV energy consumption. Therefore, clustering operations for nodes are of high priority to determine the head of clusters which LEACH protocol and fuzzy logic and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm are used for this purpose. Simulation results represent 5% improvement in energy consumption in a WSN compared to AOMDV method.

Also simulate the network
for generating a comparative statement for each mobile node. And performance analysis is also done for
the model network. The main focus is to minimize BER and improve information efficiency of the
network.

The data yielded by this investigation can be valuable to MIN engineers and can allow them to achieve more productive networks with lower overall implementation costs.

the combined cost of primary and the backup path are analyzed for the effects on network

Efficient energy, cost reduction, and QoS based routing protocol for wireless...IJECEIAES

Recent developments and widespread in wireless sensor network have led to many routing protocols, many of these protocols consider the efficiency of energy as the ultimate factor to maximize the WSN lifetime. The quality of Service (QoS) requirements for different applications of wireless sensor networks has posed additional challenges. Imaging and data transmission needs both QoS aware routing and energy to ensure the efficient use of sensors. In this paper, we propose an Efficient, Energy-Aware, Least Cost, (ECQSR) quality of service routing protocol for sensor networks which can run efficiently with best-effort traffic processing. The protocol aims to maximize the lifetime of the network out of balancing energy consumption across multiple nodes, by using the concept of service differentiation, finding lower cost by finding the shortest path using nearest neighbor algorithm (NN), also put certain constraints on the delay of the path for real-time data from where link cost that captures energy nodes reserve, energy of the transmission, error rate and other parameters. The results show that the proposed protocol improves the network lifetime and low power consumption.

The present paper describes a novel Raspberry Pi and Arduino UNO architecture used as a meteorological station. One of the advantages of the proposed architecture is the huge quantity of sensors developed for its usage; practically one can find them for any application, and weather sensing is not an exception. The principle followed is to configure Raspberry as a collector for measures obtained from Arduino, transmitting occurs via USB; meanwhile, Raspberry broadcasts them via a web page. For such activity is possible thanks to Raspbian, a Linux-based operating system. It has a lot of libraries and resources available, among them Apache Web Server, that gives the possibility to host a web-page. On it, the user can observe temperature, humidity, solar radiance, and wind speed and direction. Information on the web-page is refreshed each five minute; however, measurements arrive at Raspberry every ten seconds. This low refreshment rate was determined because weather variables normally do not abruptly change. As an additional feature, system stores all information on the log file, this gives the possibility for future analysis and processing.

Designing an energy-efficient scheme in a Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Network (HWSN) is a critical issue that degrades the network performance. Recharging and providing security to the sensor devices is very difficult in an unattended environment once the energy is drained off. A Clustering scheme is an important and suitable approach to increase energy efficiency and transmitting secured data which in turn enhances the performance in the network. The proposed algorithm Energy Efficient Clustering (EEC) works for optimum energy utilization in sensor nodes. The algorithm is proposed by combining the rotation-based clustering and energy-saving mechanism for avoiding the node failure and prolonging the network lifetime. This shows MAC layer scheduling is based on optimum energy utilization depending on the residual energy. In the proposed work, a densely populated network is partitioned into clusters and all the cluster heads are formed at a time and selected on rotation based on considering the highest energy of the sensor nodes. Other cluster members are accommodated in a cluster based on Basic Cost Maximum flow (BCMF) to allow the cluster head for transmitting the secured data. Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA), a contention window based protocol is used at the MAC layer for collision detection and to provide channel access prioritization to HWSN of different traffic classes with reduction in End to End delay, energy consumption, and improved throughput and Packet delivery ratio(PDR) and allowing the cluster head for transmission without depleting the energy. the residual energy. In the proposed work, a densely populated network is partitioned into clusters and all
the cluster heads are formed at a time and selected on rotation based on considering the highest energy of
the sensor nodes. Other cluster members are accommodated in a cluster based on Basic Cost Maximum
flow (BCMF) to allow the cluster head for transmitting the secured data. Carrier Sense Multiple Access
(CSMA), a contention window based protocol is used at the MAC layer for collision detection and to
provide channel access prioritization to HWSN of different traffic classes with reduction in End to End
delay, energy consumption, and improved throughput and Packet delivery ratio(PDR) and allowing the
cluster head for transmission without depleting the energy. Simulation parameters of the proposed system
such as Throughput, Energy, and Packet Delivery Ratio are obtained and compared with the existing
system.
Simulation outcomes reveal that the proposed approach gives better results in terms of packet delivery ratio, delay, throughput, normalized routing load and control message overhead as compared to AODV
Vehicle Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) have become a viable technology to improve traffic flow and safety on the roads. Due to its effectiveness and scalability, the Wingsuit Search-based Optimised Link State Routing Protocol (WS-OLSR) is frequently used for data distribution in VANETs. However, the selection of MultiPoint Relays (MPRs) plays a pivotal role in WS-OLSR's performance. This paper presents an improved MPR selection algorithm tailored to WS-OLSR, designed to enhance the overall routing efficiency and reduce overhead. The analysis found that the current OLSR protocol has problems such as redundancy of HELLO and TC message packets or failure to update routing information in time, so a WS-OLSR routing protocol based on improved-MPR selection algorithm was proposed. Firstly, factors such as node mobility and link changes are comprehensively considered to reflect network topology changes, and the broadcast cycle of node HELLO messages is controlled through topology changes. Secondly, a new MPR selection algorithm is proposed, considering link stability issues and nodes. Finally, evaluate its effectiveness in terms of packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, and control message overhead. Simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of our improved MR selection algorithm when compared to traditional approaches.
A Novel Medium Access Control Strategy for Heterogeneous Traffic in Wireless ...IJCNCJournal

So far, Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) have played a pivotal role in driving the development of intelligent healthcare systems with broad applicability across various domains. Each WBAN consists of one or more types of sensors that can be embedded in clothing, attached directly to the body, or even implanted beneath an individual's skin. These sensors typically serve asingle application. However, the traffic generated by each sensor may have distinct requirements. This diversity necessitates a dual approach: tailored treatment based on the specific needs of each traffic typeand the fulfillment of application requirements, such asreliability and timeliness. Never the less, the presence of energy constraints and the unreliable nature of wireless communications make QoS provisioning under such networks a non-trivial task. In this context, the current paper introduces a novel Medium AccessControl (MAC) strategy for the regular traffic applications of WBANs, designed to significantly enhance efficiency when compared to the established MAC protocols IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802.15.6, with a particular focus on improving reliability, timeliness, and energy efficiency.

A Topology Control Algorithm Taking into Account Energy and Quality of Transm...IJCNCJournal
Â
The efficient use of energy in wireless sensor networks is critical for extending node lifetime. The network topology is one of the factors that have a significant impact on the energy usage at the nodes and the quality of transmission (QoT) in the network. We propose a topology control algorithm for software-defined wireless sensor networks (SDWSNs) in this paper. Our method is to formulate topology control algorithm as a nonlinear programming (NP) problem with the objective to optimizing two metrics, maximum communication range, and desired degree. This NP problem is solved at the SDWSN controller by employing the genetic algorithm (GA) to determine the best topology. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the MaxPower algorithm in terms of average node degree and energy expansion ratio.
Multi-Server user Authentication Scheme for Privacy Preservation with Fuzzy C...IJCNCJournal

The integration of artificial intelligence technology with a scalable Internet of Things (IoT) platform facilitates diverse smart communication services, allowing remote users to access services from anywhere at any time. The multi-server environment within IoT introduces a flexible security service model, enabling users to interact with any server through a single registration. To ensure secure and privacy preservation services for resources, an authentication scheme is essential. Zhao et al. recently introduced a user authentication scheme for the multi-server environment, utilizing passwords and smart cards, claiming resilience against well-known attacks. This paper conducts cryptanalysis on Zhao et al.'s scheme, focusing on denial of service and privacy attacks, revealing a lack of user-friendliness. Subsequently, we propose a new multi-server user authentication scheme for privacy preservation with fuzzy commitment over the IoT environment, addressing the shortcomings of Zhao et al.'s scheme. Formal security verification of the proposed scheme is conducted using the ProVerif simulation tool. Through both formal and informal security analyses, we demonstrate that the proposed scheme is resilient against various known attacks and those identified in Zhao et al.'s scheme.
Advanced Privacy Scheme to Improve Road Safety in Smart Transportation SystemsIJCNCJournal

In -Vehicle Ad-Hoc Network (VANET), vehicles continuously transmit and receive spatiotemporal data with neighboring vehicles, thereby establishing a comprehensive 360-degree traffic awareness system. Vehicular Network safety applications facilitate the transmission of messages between vehicles that are near each other, at regular intervals, enhancing drivers' contextual understanding of the driving environment and significantly improving traffic safety. Privacy schemes in VANETs are vital to safeguard vehiclesâ identities and their associated owners or drivers. Privacy schemes prevent unauthorized parties from linking the vehicle's communications to a specific real-world identity by employing techniques such as pseudonyms, randomization, or cryptographic protocols. Nevertheless, these communications frequently contain important vehicle information that malevolent groups could use to Monitor the vehicle over a long period. The acquisition of this shared data has the potential to facilitate the reconstruction of vehicle trajectories, thereby posing a potential risk to the privacy of the driver. Addressing the critical challenge of developing effective and scalable privacy-preserving protocols for communication in vehicle networks is of the highest priority. These protocols aim to reduce the transmission of confidential data while ensuring the required level of communication. This paper aims to propose an Advanced Privacy Vehicle Scheme (APV) that periodically changes pseudonyms to protect vehicle identities and improve privacy. The APV scheme utilizes a concept called the silent period, which involves changing the pseudonym of a vehicle periodically based on the tracking of neighboring vehicles. The pseudonym is a temporary identifier that vehicles use to communicate with each other in a VANET. By changing the pseudonym regularly, the APV scheme makes it difficult for unauthorized entities to link a vehicle's communications to its real-world identity. The proposed APV is compared to the SLOW, RSP, CAPS, and CPN techniques. The data indicates that the efficiency of APV is a better improvement in privacy metrics. It is evident that the AVP offers enhanced safety for vehicles during transportation in the smart city.

DEF: Deep Ensemble Neural Network Classifier for Android Malware DetectionIJCNCJournal

Malware is one of the threats to security of computer networks and information systems. Since malware instances are available sufficiently, there is increased interest among researchers on usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Of late AI-enabled methods such as machine learning (ML) and deep learning paved way for solving many real-world problems. As it is a learning-based approach, accumulated training samples help in improving thequality of training and thus leveraging malware detection accuracy. Existing deep learning methods are focusing on learning-based malware detection systems. However, there is need for improving the state of the art through ensemble approach. Towards this end, in this paper we proposed a framework known as Deep Ensemble Framework (DEF) for automatic malware detection. The framework obtains features from training samples. From given malware instance a grayscale image is generated. There is another process to extract the opcode sequences. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) techniques are used to obtain grayscale image and opcode sequence respectively. Afterwards, a stacking ensemble is employed in order to achieve efficient malware detection and classification. Malware samples collected fromthe Internet sources and Microsoft are used for theempirical study. An algorithm known as Ensemble Learning for Automatic Malware Detection (EL-AML) is proposed to realize our framework. Another algorithm named Pre-Process is proposed to assist the EL-AML algorithm for obtaining intermediate features required by CNN and LSTM.Empirical study reveals that our framework outperforms many existing methods in terms of speed-up and accuracy.

With the emergence of smart devices and the Internet of Things (IoT), millions of users connected to the network produce massive network traffic datasets. These vast datasets of network traffic, Big Data are challenging to store, deal with and analyse using a single computer. In this paper we developed parallel implementation using a High Performance Computer (HPC) for the Non-Negative Matrix Factorization technique as an engine for an Intrusion Detection System (HPC-NMF-IDS). The large IoT traffic datasets of order of millions samples are distributed evenly on all the computing cores for both storage and speedup purpose. The distribution of computing tasks involved in the Matrix Factorization takes into account the reduction of the communication cost between the computing cores. The experiments we conducted on the proposed HPC-IDS-NMF give better results than the traditional ML-based intrusion detection systems. We could train the HPC model with datasets of one million samples in only 31 seconds instead of the 40 minutes using one processor), that is a speed up of 87 times. Moreover, we have got an excellent detection accuracy rate of 98% for KDD dataset.

Cyber intrusion attacks increasingly target the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, exploiting vulnerable devices and networks. Malicious activities must be identified early to minimize damage and mitigate threats. Using actual benign and attack traffic from the CICIoT2023 dataset, this WORK aims to evaluate and benchmark machine-learning techniques for IoT intrusion detection. There are four main phases to the system. First, the CICIoT2023 dataset is refined to remove irrelevant features and clean up missing and duplicate data. The second phase employs statistical models and artificial intelligence to discover novel features. The most significant features are then selected in the third phase based on cooperative game theory. Using the original CICIoT2023 dataset and a dataset containing only novel features, we train and evaluate a variety of machine learning classifiers. On the original dataset, Random Forest achieved the highest accuracy of 99%. Still, with novel features, Random Forest's performance dropped only slightly (96%) while other models achieved significantly lower accuracy. As a whole, the work contributes substantial contributions to tailored feature engineering, feature selection, and rigorous benchmarking of IoT intrusion detection techniques. IoT networks and devices face continuously evolving threats, making it necessary to develop robust intrusion detection systems.

Network clustering is a popular overhead communication management method. Many cluster-based routing methods have been developed to address system restrictions. Node clustering based on the Internet of Things (IoT) protocol, may be used to cluster all network nodes according to predefined criteria. Each cluster will have a Smart Designated Node. SDN cluster management is efficient. Many intelligent nodes remain in the network. The network design spreads these signals. This will facilitate the secure and reliable interchange of healthcare data between professionals and patients. NCIoT is a system that organizes nodes in the Internet of Things (IoT) by grouping them together based on their proximity. It also picks SDN routes for these nodes. The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

1. INTRODUCTION
Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a multi-hop wireless network that is composed of mobile
hosts communicating with each other through wireless links. MANET is used in many practical
applications, including personal area networks, military environments, home area networking and
search a rescue operations.
A MANET consists of nodes acting as host and router in a wireless infrastructure-less
communicating network. The nodes communicate with one other over a wireless link with each
node acting as host and router. Because of mobility of node the topology of the network changes,
thus routing becomes crucial. Sufficient guarantee of Quality of Service (QoS) is required for
delivery of information.

Figure.1 shows the topology modified based on node mobility in MANET. At time T1 the nodes
are formed in one structure and the time T1+t the nodes have changed another structure. Thus
every time the node changes connectivity in MANET.
Multicast routing is one of the vital aspects in wireless ad-hoc networks. In multicast routing, the
messages are sent to multiple specified destination nodes from a single source through utilizing
multiple intermediate forwarding relay nodes [1]. This routing technique reduces transmission
overhead, control message overhead, power consumption and network partitioning. In the field of
wireless ad-hoc networks, geographic-based routing schemes have become important due to their
localized operation, reduced computation and storage overhead and scalability with the required
number of nodes. Proactive Source Routing (PSR) to help opportunistic data transmission in
MANETs. In PSR, every node keeps a breadth-first search spanning tree of the network rooted at
it. This data is sporadically substituted between neighbouring nodes for efficient network
information. Proactive Routing refers to the ready availability of routes while there is data to be
sent from one end to another. The PSR routing used to reduce the routing overhead and make
network efficiency in MANET.
Our contributions in this paper can be summarized as follows:
1) We explain a Multicasting based Enhanced Proactive Source Routing (MEPSR) protocol for
WSNs.
2) Multicasting is an important task because it reduces the data transmission duration and
transmission costs for an application compared to the unicast transmission.
3) The route node selection based on Confidential Energy. The Confidential Energy is computed
by remaining energy and Environmental standard energy of every node.
4) Here, Cost-aware based routing scheme can be useful to address the data delivery necessities.
The continuation of this paper is structured as follows. Section II reviews related work on routing
protocol in MANETs. Section III presents details description of Multicasting based Enhanced
Proactive Source Routing in MANETs. In section IV simulation analysis and results are
discussed. Section V concludes this paper.

3. MULTICASTING BASED ENHANCED PROACTIVE SOURCE ROUTING
Multicasting based Enhanced Proactive Source Routing (MEPSR) in MANETs is proposed in
this paper. The main goal of MEPSR technique is to increase the network lifetime and improve
the packet delivery rate in MANET.

Figure 2 Example scenario of MEPSR Scheme
Figure 2 demonstrate that the example scenario of MEPSR scheme. Here, the single source
transmits the multiple destinations known as multicasting. Where S represents the Source, D
represents the Destination and i represent the intermediate node.
3.1 ROUTE DISCOVERY
In the MEPSR, it employs energy aware optimal node-disjoint multipath from sender node to
destination node by optimizing routing overhead. Two novel techniques were proposed to
optimize the routing overhead. First novel technique is broadcast with low overhead approach;
the main objective of this approach is to optimize the flooding of packets during route discovery.
In this approach, during flooding of Route Request (RREQ) packets from sender to destination,
many duplicate RREQ packets are eliminate by each intermediate node itself by using pathâs cost.
Second novel approach is Computation of optimal and feasible energy aware node-disjoint
multipath is done by destination node. In the MEPSR, The destination sends back multiple Rout
Reply (RREP) packets to sender. Each RREP packet carries the path and its cumulative cost and
confidential energy. The cumulative cost represents the node connectivity. In the traditional
energy aware multipath routing, the sender node computes energy aware multipath from itself to
destination during route discovery. If the destination sends all energy aware multiple paths in the
RREP packets to sender via intermediate node then overhead is increased from destination to
sender. In the MEPSR eliminates some unnecessary multiple paths that have less connectivity
range in the route reply. The computation of the energy aware nodeâdisjoint optimal paths and
feasible are allocated to the destination node as an alternative of the sender node. It computes
those paths based cost and sends back to sender node.
The sender consumes the energy communicates the message (m) is determined by the equation 1.

3.2 ROUTE UTILIZATION
The sender node categorizes received three paths based on the cost and stores it in to the cache as
primary path, secondary path and ternary path. The sender node first selects primary path for data
transmission to destination if it fails then next it selects secondary path for data transmission to
destination if it also fails, then finally sender selects ternary path for data transmission to
destination. If it also fails it invoke new discovery to find new energy aware node-disjoint path to
destination.

Figure 3: Steps in different path
Three types of paths exist in this criterion: primary path, secondary path and tertiary path and is
shown in figure 3. The primary path is considered as the basic path and is the efficient path for
data communication. This path has the highest priority in data transmission. Next to primary
path, secondary path takes the role of finding the efficient data. Tertiary path is the final path used
for data transmission. This path selection technique has its role in selecting the best efficient of all
the paths. Each path has its cost function and all the node with highest cost is selected as the
primary path and so on. The cost is determined by the number of neighbors in the communication
network.
3.3 ROUTE MAINTENANCE
The route maintenance in the MEPSR is same the route maintenance in the PSR. If currently
using route is broken, then intermediate node sends a Route Error (RERR) packet to sender node
to inform the sender node about the broken link. After receiving the RERR, the sender node
removes that broken route from its cache and it uses the alternative route to destination if it is
available otherwise it invokes new route discovery to find new routes to destination.
4. SIMULATION RESULTS
The performance of the MEPSR is evaluated by using the Network simulator (NS2). The
performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by the parameters packet delivery ratio, packet
loss ratio, average delay, throughput and residual energy.

The figure 4 shows the PDR of the proposed scheme MEPSR is higher than the PDR of the
existing method EENC. The delivery rate for MEPSR is constantly increasing as the simulation
time is getting increased. The increase in the number of packets demonstrates the improvement in
the delivery rate from source to destination. The MEPSR increase the node residual energy thus it
improve the packet delivery from source to multiple destination.
4.2 PACKET LOSS RATE:
Packet Loss Rate is defined as the number of packets lost per unit time. The formula used to
calculate the PLR is given in equation 4.

The PLR of the proposed scheme MEPSR is lower than the existing scheme EENC in Figure 5.
Lower the PLR indicates the higher performance of the network. As long as there is decrease in
packet loss, the information sent from source will reach the destination successfully. The quality
of the data will be automatically improved in this term of regard. The performance of the network
will therefore be automatically improved.
4.3 AVERAGE DELAY:
Average Delay is defined as the time difference between the received and sent packets to the total
number of nodes. It is measured by the equation 5.

Figure 6 shows that the delay value is low for the proposed scheme MEPSR than the existing
scheme EENC. The minimum value of delay means that higher value of the throughput of the
network. The delay in the network may lead to lose the information. The information must not get
lost because of the delay factor, therefore proper sharing is required in this phenomenon during
data transmission.

Throughput is the average of successful messages delivered to the base station. The throughput is
estimated in using equation 6.

Figure 7 shows that proposed scheme MEPSR has greater throughput when compared to the
existing scheme EENC. Throughput is considered as the important parameter in determining the
performance of the network. As long as there is improved throughput the system can perform in
an efficient manner. The efficiency thus plays an important role in the communication network.
4.5 RESIDUAL ENERGY:
The persisting energy level in a node at the present time is called as RE. A measure of the RE
gives the rate at which energy is utilized by the network performance. Figure 8 shows that the
residual energy of the network is better for the proposed scheme MEPSR when compared with
the existing scheme EENC. In MEPSR, reduce the node will be dead also As long as there is
residual energy, the network will have an enhanced network lifetime in the network.

communication network. Multicast is a very useful data transmission system for group-oriented
applications. This algorithm explains an innovative multicasting algorithm that considers the
transmission energy and residual energy while forwarding the data packets. Both theoretical and
simulation outcomes demonstrate that MEPSR has better routing efficiency also improve the
residual energy in the network. Simulation analysis is carried in this proposed system and it
shows improved performance of throughput and reduces both the delay and energy consumption
over the existing system.
