Multi-Step Equations
1.First you have to distribute.
2.Then you combine like terms.
3. Next you get variable on one
side.
4.Lastly you isolate the variable.

3. Pick an example problem (delete all the others):
7(x+9) – 10 = 2x + 6 8(x-1) +7=5x+118(x-1) +7=5x+11
5(x -4) +35 = 7x – 9 4(x+5)+2 = 30x-4
2(x+12) – 7= 6x + 5
Step 1: First I distributed the problem.
8(x-1)+7=5x+11
3x= 12

Step 2: Then I combined liked terms
Step 3:Next I got my variable on one side.
