Kliplok 940 is a cladding sheet manufactured from
hot dipped zinc/aluminium alloy-coated steel sheet
with effective width of 940mm. Using full size of the
coil will maximize the cost effectiveness in using this
type of galvanized steel for customers.

+ As the galvanized steel sheet is mounted with the roof by clamps, it ensures that the long galva-
nized steel is not bent or warped when the ambient temperature changes.
+ As this galvanized steel roofing system uses clamps for mounting (instead of screws), it
ensures longer durability than galvanized steel mounted by screws (the roof is not oxidized
at the screw mounting points due to the impact of the environment).

ON-SITE SHEARING
TIPS FOR ROOFING
Using metal cutting circular saw blades is always better than carbon
blades because metal blades do not create metal particles at high
temperature and do not create too sharp edges.
Do not stack galvanized steel sheets when cutting.
WALKING ON GALVANIZED STEEL SHEETS
USING SEALANTS
Neutral cure silicone sealants are recommended to use because these
sealants have the following advantages:
+ Good adhesion to the clean surface of roofing sheets.
+ Waterproof and anti-corrosion for the roofing sheets.
+ Maintaining good elasticity even if the temperature changes, too
hot or too cold.
+ Good resistance to UV in sunlight and long service life. Using
common natural pine oil or Shell white oil and dry towel to clean the
surfaces to be glued and eliminate left over solvent.
Do not use sealants derived from Acetic Acid. Although this is
the ideal sealant for other materials, when it is used on galvanized
steel roofing sheets, the sealant will release byproducts which
are harmful to roofing sheets. These sealants can be easily iden-
tified through their smell vinegar-like smell or ammonia smell.
Wearing shoes with soft rubber soles to climb to the roof for installing
or checking galvanized steel sheets.
Keeping your body weight evenly on the soles of the feet because
new galvanized steel sheets may be very slippery.
Placing feet on crossrails to move if possible.
Do not use sub-girts pre-treated with substances containing copper
/ chrome / arsenic. In case of force majeures, use paper insulation
to insulate them from roofing sheets.
Arranging additional appropriate materials to form walkway on the
roofing sheets.
Replacing scratched roofing sheets withthe new ones.
If theAl-Zncoatingis scratched,just leavethescratchas it is becausethe
sacrificial reaction of zinc will generate an oxide to protect thesurface
from corrosion.
If the scratch is so deep that the metal substrate shows and the scratch
is wider than 2mm, then the corrosion resistance will be impaired. In this
case, thescratched roofingsheetshouldbe replaced withanintactone.
Do not use paint to cover the scratches on the surface of roofing
sheets. The difference in weather resilience will darken the paint
across all over the surface.

DAMAGES ON THE SURFACE OF ROOFING SHEETS
MOUNTING SCREWS AND FITTINGS
All screws shall be accompanied with gaskets made from high quality
EPDM rubber or carbonization resistant insulation materials.
The durability of mounting screws must be equivalent to that of
the roofing sheets.
Do not use zinc-coated steel fixed contact or gutter on galvanized
steel roofing sheets. These zinc-coated steel materials should be
replaced periodically sooner than color-coated cold-rolled steel
products.
CLEANING METAL FILINGS
Cleaning all metal filings, rivets and unused dirty screws at least once

CLEANING TILES
The surface of tiles contacting with the galvanized steel should be
cleaned before roofing.
Do not let tiles cleaning water containing cement splash or overflow
on the roof and in gutter because this cleaning water can damage
the paint layer quickly and corrode the roofing sheets.
COMPATIBILITY
Always use galvanized steel crossrails and sub-girts to avoid contact
between the roofing sheets and bare steel.
Copper and lead is not compatible with the color-coated cold-rolled
galvanized steel products.
OTHER INSTALLATION ITEMS
Copper or lead tubes or items go through the galvanized steel sheets
must be painted before installing onto the roof to avoid the transfer
of copper ions to the surface of roofing sheets.
If this instruction is not followed properly, the surface of galva-
nized steel sheets can be corroded easily.
Do not place the outdoor unit of an air conditioner on the girt
paddings pre-treated with copper / chrome / arsenic substances. Do
not use girts pre-treated with the above substances either.
BENDING AND FOLDING
Color-coated cold-rolled steel can be bent and folded easily.
Avoid scratches during bending and folding.
STORAGE
Galvanized steel sheets must be stored in a dry place. Each stack/ coil of
galvanized steel must be wrapped by oil cloth and kept away from the
floor to avoid wetting the galvanized steel. If galvanized steel gets wet,
the wet sheets should be taken out and wiped to be dryimmediately.
Useadryandcleanclothto wipeallwetsheetsandthenstack the sheets
so that they get good ventilation to be driedcompletely.
Do not leave the roofing sheets outdoor though they are wrapped.
