This article describes four organizational initiatives at Cornell University during the
past decade and examines the approaches to OD that evolved to support them. The
four initiatives and the OD strategies that evolved from them include (a) Total Quality
Management (process consultation); (b) Project 2000, an enterprise information
technology initiative (sociotechnical systems development); (c) Workforce Planning
(strategic OD); and (d) a Call to Engagement (collaboration and co evolution). These
initiatives and their corresponding strategies represent specific stages in the

You, JoLayne Lucks, an African American veterinarian, and two friends Bode
Gazzer and Chubb each win a lottery ticket. Bode and Chubb soon realize they have
to split the twenty eight million dollar jackpot with JoLayne, and become angry
because they want all the money. Tom Krome, a journalist for the local newspaper,
is on a mission to help JoLayne make sure that doesn t happen. Greed is defined as
the desire, most of the time selfish, for prosperity, power, or status. Most of the
time, greed is created when insecurities and troubles in a person s life lead them to
believe they can improve their life through selfish means. It often causes people to
transform in a negative manner. When a person is insecure about their position in
society, they often turn to greed as an attempt to solve their problems. Chubb and
Bode are scared of anyone who isn t a similar background to them taking control of

the goal of most treatments is to offer relief in a cluster of symptoms. Patients with
Prader Willi syndrome typically present some level of intellectual disability and
reduced social ability. Due to the rarity of the disorder, research into treatments for
Prader Willi syndrome has been limited in the past, particularly because the sample
size to test efficacy of treatments is relatively small. Recently, new treatments have
been developed for people with Prader Willi syndrome such as psychotropic
medications, growth hormone treatment, oxytocin treatment, natural supplements,
telehealth intervention, and cognitive behavior therapy. Many of these treatments

Winchester, Virginia on December 7, 1873 to Charles and Mary Cather. Willa s
father was a deputy sheriff and farmer, and her mother was a school teacher. When
Willa was nine, in 1883, her family moved to the Nebraska prairie to follow her
grandparents, William and Caroline in Webster County. The prairie life was an
unfamiliar landscape, which was crucial in Cather s life. In 1888, Cather decided

be for males so she cut her hair and began to dress like a man. Cather was sixteen

John Rawls in A Theory of Justice argues against average utilitarianism by appealing
to self respect; and that his principles of justice account for self respect unlike average
utilitarianism. In this paper I will present Rawls s argument from self respect and
raise both a concern with his argumentation and an objection to his argument. The
concern will regard him prematurely assuming the public commitment is to his
principles. The objection will argue that thanks to willing participants, a sacrificefor
average utility does not entail a loss of self respect. I will also provide a response
to this objection by way of a widely hated dictator losing self respect for greater
average utility. Finally, I will counter this response by arguing that the consequences
of the dictator argument would hold equally under Rawls s principles of justice....
Rawls sees average utilitarianism as one of the biggest threats to his theory and
mounts three arguments against average utilitarianism. One of these arguments

Theme Of Death And The Miser
The theme we created for Death and the Miser is Forgiveness overrules your
mistakes. Everyone in life makes mistakes but it s the forgiveness you get
afterwards that counts. This theme applies to my groups story of Death and the
Miser in many ways. An example would be when the Miser steals the indulgences
and sells them for his own profit; the church later on forgives him for what he had
