2. Project Objective: Barclay’s retail bank uses a bespoke application-card system, for the launch &
management of debit card products which is an aging & complex application. As a consequence of a
joint exercise carried out in 2010, between Barclays & CSC, who develop & market an industry leading
package called CAMS, it was recommended that the existing card system application could be replaced
by CAMS as this provide a 90% fit to the existing card system &could provide significant business
benefits & cost saving going forward.
The strategic debit card programme (SDCP) was mobilised to take this work forward.
Project Description:
SDCP program basically involves Creation of Cards data in IMS, Migration of database from cards to
CAMS , and testing of various CAMS CICS screens.
As a part of the programme I have been involved in various work-streams (Authorization/Servicing)
and projects in varying capacity:
1. Test data creation using CGS front-end for CPU project
2. Test design which involved
a. Execution of test cases, identification and re-test of defects
b. CR analysis and testing
c. Testing the migration process via front end CAMS screen
d. Tested for bulk / volume
e. Creation of test Scripts
f. Involved in creation of Data.
