Establish a framework for the DIDC that includes assisting in the work request intake process,

 SolvencyII sets out new, stronger European Union (EU) wide requirements on capital adequacy
and risk management for insurers with the aim of increasing protection for policyholders. It will
be adopted by all 27 EU Member States plus three of the European Economic Area (EEA)
countries. As a consistent European standard, SII should help to protect policyholders’ interests
more effectively by making firm failure less likely, and by reducing the probability of consumer
loss or market disruption. The SII Directive states that the new regime to replace the Solvency I to
the current regulatory regime for insurance supervision for firms in the United Kingdom (UK).
The scope of the UK SII programmer is driven from the Group programmer. The regulation
compliance will continue to evolve as further requirements and clarity are provided by the
Financial Services Authority (FSA) and the European Economic Community (EEC).
