Tungkung Langit and Alunsina were the god and goddess who created the world according to a Panayan creation story. Tungkung Langit was a hard-working god who wanted to impose order, while Alunsina was a lazy goddess who spent her days brushing her hair. When Tungkung Langit left to create order, Alunsina suspected he was seeing another and spied on him. Angry at her jealousy, Tungkung Langit drove Alunsina away. He scattered her jewels in the sky to try to lure her back, transforming them into stars, moon, and sun, but she never returned. Tungkung Langit continues living alone

that when Alunsina should see them she might be
