What’s New
Hello everyone! Rescue me please. I want to find out the definition of
inspection and the procedure in preparing inspection report. All we need is to read
and understand the description. Are you ready? Let’s start.
Inspection is conducted to observe the physical condition of the property. An
ocular inspection is usually done to have a first-hand observation of the conditions
of the property. Its objective is to supplement theoretical computations of value
with first hand observation of the condition of the property.
In the conduct of inspection of the property, the following shall be performed:
1. Identify the property in accordance with its descriptions in the inventory list
or directive.
2. Check the condition of the property and determine whether operational,
under repair or irreparable.
3. Determine if the property is economically repairable with the most probable
cost of its repairs and current costs of spare parts.
4. Check for the damage/worn-out or missing parts. Careful determination of
its present physical condition shall serve as basis for its depreciation and
correct evaluation/valuation.
5. Determine the correct date when the property has been acquired or its
present age/number of years the property has been actually used or
operated.
6. See if property is the obsolete or still being manufactured and if spare parts
are still procurable in the market. If property is found obsolete, appraise the
property as junk.
7. Determine the quality or degree of maintenance, repair, restoration or
upgrading made, check logbook, if available.
10.
4
8. Determine theextent of use, mileage, rate of depreciation, and any excessive
wear and tear.
9. Inspect the location of the properties and the available facilities for their
transportation.
10.See if the property is sheltered or exposed to elements and theft.
There are five (5) importance of following procedures in preparing inspection
reports.
1. Fix the standard – This procedure allows the management to perform the
duty based on manual. As a result, procedures accurately describe and
establish standard and provide a guideline for users to be able to evaluate
and verify whether they meet those expectations.
2. Holding administration responsible – It allows the administration with
guidelines about how to treat themselves and the expectations they are
expected to, but also brings clarity for the majority because they can see the
leaders’ desired requirements and what they should expect from the
administrators in turn.
3. Keep the consistent with the policy – Updated guidelines and procedures
would then assist the organization in fulfilling its responsibilities at the
constitution. For example, the health safety approach will help the
administrator to communicate their liabilities to include a safe working
environment or how it will fulfill those duty required on the organization at
rules.
4. Can help protect claim by users – Updated guidelines and procedures will
help an individual protect himself towards civil actions. For example, in the
case of abusive behavior complaint, showing how an organization has a
scheme for abusive act, it will be forwarded to the administrator to evaluate
the accusation of abusing made, is being based on it to show the veracity of
the conduct of the administrator when reacting such arguments.
5. Can let users know where to ask assistance. Guidelines and procedures
let the users know where they might ask for help. Policies should also have a
point of reference for questions pertaining to the guidelines and procedures
will established out the accessible procedures as well as alternatives for
where any working environment complaint is being dealt with.
