Introduction to Federalism
• Federalism is a system of government where power is divided between a central
authority and various constituent units.
• Allows for both centralization and decentralization of power, promotes
diversity, and fosters cooperation.

Objective of the study
• Explore various models of federalism.
• Analyze the various positive aspects and challenges of federalism in Nepal.

• Qualitative and descriptive research approach.
• Utilized secondary data sources such as reference books, articles, and reports.
• Supported by primary data collected through interviews with stakeholders.
• Data analysis focused on understanding federalism models, challenges, and practices.

Conclusion
• Federalism offers a balanced approach to governance, accommodating
diversity and promoting democratic participation.
• Despite challenges, federalism remains relevant, particularly in countries with
ethnic, cultural, and geographical diversity like Nepal.
• Sustainable implementation requires addressing operational difficulties,
promoting cooperation among governmental units, and ensuring equitable
distribution of resources.
