1.1 Company profile and need for Career Interest Tests
Company Profile
Need for Career Interest Tests (CIT)
• MM PyschoTools came into existence in 2013 with the aim to not only provide Psychomotor Assessments to the labour
segments within South Africa, but also break ground within the future of South Africa Education through EYTA Academy.
• EYTA (Employable Youth Transition in Action) offers psychometric evaluation to the youth of South Africa in the form of Career
Interest Tests (CIT).
• These tests are administered to pupils when they are in Grade 9 to assist leaners in subject choices for Grade 10 that will be
inline with their potential career path as discovered through the results of Career Interest Tests.
• The company specializes in psychometric assessments, interpretation and evaluations.
• The Managing Director has been involved with Psychomotor assessments for 3 years and he has completed a BA Honours in
Psychology.
• CIT tests are done online and the host of the tests have a lot of industry experience in Psychomotor tests.
• A lot of students due to the lack of proper career guidance end up in careers that are not inline with their interests and
capabilities.
• This often leads to unhappiness and lack of fulfilment in the chosen career which ultimately hampers productivity levels of an
individual.
• Usually prestige schools administer career interest tests on pupils to help guide them on choosing careers that are suited for
them. This helps them in shaping a prosperous future ahead.
• It is important to administer CIT tests on pupils when they are in Grade 9 as this is an important phase in their lives. From this
point on, pupils are left with a tough choice of selecting subjects that they will do from Grade 10 up until they Matriculate.
• Subjects selected in Grade 10 up to 12 influence the types of Higher Education qualifications pupils can enrol for.
• A lot of parents would find value in exposing their kids to these types of facilities but they could be quite expensive to acquire.
• To give more of these great facilities to a broader audience, EYTA Academy sorts to incorporate this Value Add on Educational
plans to ensure more of our S.A students are exposed to these facilities offered in prestige schools.
2. How Career Interest Tests (CIT) functions: CIT Tests are
designed to discover what are your job interests, work values and skills so as to
pin down which jobs in which someone with your interests, values and skills is
most likely to thrive in.
A combination of the four mentioned tests are encompassed into one Career Interest Test done online

personality enjoys certain jobs, it can be
scientifically predicted which types of jobs
you would enjoy the most based on your

while others are good in organizing and
structuring things.

3. What you get from the CIT test report
▪ A report is emailed to you after completion which details descriptions
of your strongest career interests, values and skills.
▪ Depicting visual individual score against general population.

based on your score.
▪ Analysis is based on personal responses against responses of
people that are already successful in those jobs.

needed and etc.
▪ This information is always current and updated.
▪ Lastly the report can provide fantastic career advice and guidance
on their own.
▪ However, you can choose to discuss the report with a career
counsellor
