What is Media Literacy?
Highlights the capacity of an individual to understand the
functions of media and determine the relevant use and
worth of media platforms. This means that an individual
knows how to use or manage media accounts or media
platforms.

What is Information literacy?
is the communication or acquiring of data or facts that relate
to the use of media information. This involves a careful and
thoughtful way of gathering information legally, avoiding
such pitfalls as violating intellectual property rights and
plagiarism.

What is Technology literacy?
is the skill of an individual to manipulate technology
independently or with the assistance of others in using the
technology in an efficient and suitable way. These skills are
needed to access knowledge and communicate
information in a legal and ethical manner.

while avoiding its pitfalls.

YOUR VOICE MATTERS!
Directions: Each group will have one topic that will be assigned to
them. They will create a slogan unifying their voices and opinions
about the topic, and they will be using 3 hashtags. After which,
they will be asked to post it on their social media in whatever form
they want (e.g. Facebook post, story, or reels). They will send a
screenshot of their work in the Group Messenger chat.

Directions: Choose a current news article, blog post, social media
post, or online video related to a topic of your interest. Ensure it is
at least 500 words in length (for articles) or 2 minutes in duration
(for videos). Answer the following questions and write it on a 1
whole sheet of yellow paper.
1. What is the author's main message or argument?
2. What is the potential bias in the content? Consider the language
used, sources cited, and any underlying motivations.
3. What is the credibility of the sources referenced? Are they reputable
and authoritative?
4. Cite at least two other sources to check for consistency and
accuracy.
5. Write the source, author and date it is published.

  • 14. YOUR VOICE MATTERS! Directions: Each group will have one topic that will be assigned to them. They will create a slogan unifying their voices and opinions about the topic, and they will be using 3 hashtags. After which, they will be asked to post it on their social media in whatever form they want (e.g. Facebook post, story, or reels). (Rubrics) CRITERIA 3 points 2 points 1 points Completeness All of the students were able to post the slogan on their social media platform, with 3 hashtags included. 1-2 students were not able to post the slogan on their social media platform, and with lacking hashtags. 3-4 students were not able to post the slogan on their social media platform and the post has no hashtags included. Alignment with the Topic The slogan effectively captures the theme and essence of the topic. The slogan aligns well with the movie's theme but may benefit from further enhancement to strengthen the connection. The slogan connection to the topic’s theme is somewhat vague and could be improved. Clarity All words used in slogan has a direct connotation to the topic chosen and is relevant. There are 1-2 words that are jargon and are difficult to understand. There are 3-4 words that are jargon and are difficult to understand. Memorable The slogan immediately grabs the attention of the reader also through the use of hashtags. The slogan was striking and promotes positive engagement among the reader. The slogan is somewhat visually appealing but lacks a strong impact, leaving room for improvement. Social Media Application Members of the group were able to use 3 social media platforms in posting the slogan. Members of the group were able to use 2 social media platforms in posting the slogan. Ensure it is at least 500 words in length (for articles) or 2 minutes in duration (for videos). Answer the following questions and write it on a 1 whole sheet of yellow paper. 1. What is the author's main message or argument? 2. What is the potential bias in the content? Consider the language used, sources cited, and any underlying motivations. 3. What is the credibility of the sources referenced? Are they reputable and authoritative? 4. Cite at least two other sources to check for consistency and accuracy. 5.
