- #2 Thank you for your interest in Mil-Pac technology products. This presentation is an overview of the solutions that Mil-Pac technology provides for defense suppliers
- #3 Defense suppliers have three separate but overlapping mandates with which they must comply. The radio frequency identification or RFID mandate requires Department of Defense suppliers to use radio frequency identification to identify shipping containers and packages. The unique identification or UID mandate requires Department of Defense suppliers to uniquely mark specific parts and equipment. Wide area work flow is the government’s electronic vendor payment system. These three mandates have overlapping requirements--UID marked parts will require RFID unit container labeling in 2007. RFID and UID data are required as inputs to wide area work flow. MilPac technology has a separate presentation that covers the three mandates in more detail .
- #4 We can divide DoD supplier needs into three broad categories: Container Marking Electronic Transactions Forms Automation We’ll use these three categories to describe how Mil-Pac Technology assists DoD suppliers.
- #5 Let’s start our tour of Mil-Pac products with Container Marking, since it tends to be the most tangible.

- #10 Because this is a DoD compliance solution, it is uncluttered by data and label formats required only for CPG or other needs. Pre-built formats means that suppliers can easily be compliant without having to build and maintain their own formats. When the DoD changes requirements, we change our software to keep the suppliers compliant.
- #11 Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Embedded RFID tag is encoded as the label is printed. Automatic! No extra effort required from the Std-Barc user. Unique Identification (UID) Prints UID container marking labels and part marking labels. Automatically associates UID data with RFID data and contract data. - #36 So let’s take a look at what this data looks like they would have to be entered in and here’s sample data for three exterior containers on two pilots the red text represents the RF ID data that would have to be entered Into wide area work flow
- #39 The DLA-BSM Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) is a web-based application that provides the capability to search for, view, and submit secure quotes on Requests For Quotations (RFQs). ProGate - The Procurement Gateway allows prospective government contractors to perform comprehensive and detailed searches against Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Award documents. VMI – Vendor Managed Inventory Sold to government, but in bonded storage at supplier facility. PBL- Performance Based Logistics WebCAV – Web Commercial Asset Visibility is used at Government and Commercial Repair sites to monitor and track the progress of repair components through the repair process. PIPC – Property in Possession of Contractor is government property in the possession of the contractor.
