Mija Said grew up in the music industry as her father worked for celebrities and she attended music video shoots and concerts. After attending a Drake tour in 2013 and feeling something she had never felt before, she knew she belonged in the music industry. Despite being told she wouldn't succeed, she has followed her dreams and built relationships in the industry while working with various artists. Her experiences in the music industry from a young age have been the biggest influence on her decision to pursue a career in it.

When I was younger, my father started his own security business and started working for celebrities. I started attending music video shoots, and then later

I’ve always been told that I wouldn't make something of self. For failing so many times in life, there was nothing to hold on too, or having hope.

My number one failure in life was never finishing something that I started. Although I struggled to find my right path, I have hit many bumps in the road,
but holding on by the last thread, I still manage to pull through.
