Karna Subarna Welfare Society is a voluntary organization or an NGO working for the upliftment of the most backward classes in the district of Murshidabad since its inception in the year 2006. It has enhanced its credibility in the eyes of local stakeholders through various out-of the-pocket and philanthropic activities for the betterment of the sexually marginalized community, backward communities like SC/ST/OBC & Muslim community across its area of intervention till date. Like “vihaan”, it has brought about positive ray of hope in the life of primitive ethnic group, hailed from the Samaskar village in the district of Murshidabad. Following a two to three year long extensive consultative process involving the local level stakeholders across the district, Karna Subarna Welfare Society emerged as an independent initiative on November 24, 2006.
Krishna Old Age Home is a non-governmental organization located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat that provides shelter and care for older adults aged 60 and above who have no family. It houses around 30 members and provides meals, medical care, and other basic necessities using funds from donations. A survey found that while the organization meets basic needs, improvements could be made to infrastructure and activities to better engage and support members. The students at Satya Bharti School in Dabadwas, Rajasthan organized an initiative against child marriage in their community. They held meetings, rallies, and street plays to educate villagers on the harms of child marriage. The community members appreciated the students' efforts and committed to ending this practice. The students at Satya Bharti School in Dabadwas, Rajasthan organized an initiative against child marriage in their community. They held meetings, rallies, and street plays to educate villagers on the harms of child marriage. The community members appreciated the students' efforts and committed to ending this practice. What is migrant laour?
According to the ILO global estimates on migrant
workers , in 2017, migrant workers accounted for 164
million of the world’s approximately 258 million
international migrants. Migrant workers contribute to
growth and development in their countries of
destination, while countries of origin greatly benefit
from their remittances and the skills acquired during
their migration experience. Yet, the migration process
implies complex challenges in terms of governance,
migrant workers' protection, migration and
development linkages, and international cooperation.
The ILO works to forge policies to maximize the
benefits of labour migration for all those involved.
