Migraines are a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent moderate to severe headaches that are often associated with symptoms of the autonomic nervous system. Migraines typically present as recurrent, self-limited severe headaches accompanied by autonomic symptoms. About 15-30% of migraines involve aura, which can include visual disturbances like zigzagging lines starting in the center of vision and spreading outwards. Migraines are also associated with nausea, vomiting, and visual disturbances.
