This document outlines the Bliss 4 Midwives 2015-2016 project which aimed to improve maternal and infant health outcomes in Ghana. The project involved developing a prototype diagnostic device to be used by midwives at the point of care to allow for early diagnosis, detection, and treatment of life-threatening conditions. Key project partners included TNO, ReliTech, Cordaid, Simavi, and several Ghanaian organizations. The project timeline outlined prototype development from 2015-2016, field testing in Ghana, and evaluation to inform future planning. The goal was to revolutionize diagnostics at the first point of care to improve quality of care while reducing costs.
