This document discusses using microteaching to improve the teaching skills of prospective teachers. [1] Microteaching involves breaking teaching down into its components and practicing them on a small scale with peers in an action-reflection cycle. [2] Tables show the teaching practice marks of 10 prospective teachers before and after participating in microteaching sessions, with their post-test marks being higher across all components evaluated. [3] Microteaching was found to enhance prospective teachers' lesson planning, use of teaching aids, presentation skills, classroom management abilities, and assessment techniques.
