The document is a list published by The Grocer magazine highlighting 33 talented young individuals in the grocery industry. It provides brief profiles of each person, describing their role, achievements, and why they were selected for the list. The editor of The Grocer says the large number of nominations received shows the breadth of career opportunities in the industry. The event to honor the award winners brought together the up-and-coming talent with senior industry leaders and was an opportunity to celebrate, network, and discuss experiences.
The document provides steps to create a basic chart or table in Microsoft Excel 2007:
1. Open Microsoft Excel 2007 and rename cells A1, B1, C1, and D1 to label columns for "NAME", "QUANTITY", "PRICE", and "TOTAL".
2. Enter sample data into cells A2-D4, including product names in column A and formulas to calculate totals in column D.
3. Merge and center cells A7-C7 to create a header for the grand total, and enter a formula in cell D7 to sum the total values.
The document provides instructions for students to use Google Earth and other online tools to find the temperature of their location, convert it between Fahrenheit and Celsius, mark their location on Google Earth with a pin and label, and save their location and create folders and tours of multiple locations.
Google Earth is a geographic information system application that allows users to view maps and satellite images of the Earth. It provides tools to navigate, search, manipulate data points, and understand relationships between data. Google Earth integrates with other Google applications like Google Maps, Google Sky, and Sketchup to provide 3D views of terrain, buildings, the solar system and beyond. It allows for easy collaboration by sharing locations via web links and embedding in websites. Users can download Google Earth for free and get started by navigating with basic tools, searching by address, business name or coordinates, and organizing locations into folders that can be saved. The application features over 200 layers of data like roads, traffic, weather and Wikipedia articles.

hydro chapter_11_hydrology_by louy al hami Louy Alhamy
The document discusses key concepts in hydrology including the hydrologic cycle, precipitation measurement methods, watershed characteristics, the watershed response in the form of hydrographs, unit hydrographs, and methods to develop synthetic hydrographs for ungauged watersheds. Specifically, it covers the hydrologic cycle, precipitation measurement including arithmetic mean, Thiessen polygon, and isohyetal methods. It also discusses watershed characteristics, the watershed response in the form of hydrographs, and the development of unit hydrographs and their use in developing synthetic hydrographs for ungauged watersheds using the principles of superposition and linearity.
- The document describes a study that uses a modified Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) test to test if the innovations of a GARCH model come from a mixture of normal distributions rather than a standard normal distribution.
- It establishes critical values for the KS test and modified KS (MKS) test through simulation under the null hypothesis. It then uses simulation to calculate the size and power of both tests when the innovations come from alternative distributions like the normal, Student's t, and generalized error distributions.
- The results show that the KS and MKS tests maintain the correct size when the innovations are actually from the mixture of normals. The power of both tests is greater than the nominal level when the innovations come
William Playfair, a Scottish engineer and economist, is considered the principal inventor of statistical graphs. In 1786, he published the 'Commercial and Political Atlas' containing 44 charts, which introduced the line graph, bar graph, and pie chart. Graphical representations visually display data using plots and charts to quantify, sort, and present information in an understandable way for various audiences. Common types include bar graphs, line graphs, histograms, and pie charts, which each have specific rules for effectively displaying different types of data.
Microsoft Excel 2007 is a widely used spreadsheet program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite, with capabilities for performing calculations, organizing data, creating charts and graphics, and automating tasks through macros. Excel allows users to enter and manipulate data in worksheets and perform calculations with formulas, analyze information with built-in functions and tools, and visualize data through a variety of chart types. Key features and functions of Excel 2007 include entering and editing data, working with formulas and functions, formatting worksheets, inserting objects and illustrations, printing and preparing files, reviewing and sharing workbooks, and customizing the Excel environment.
This document provides instructions for using basic Microsoft Excel functions including opening Excel, navigating the worksheet, entering and formatting data, using autofill, and basic formatting options. It demonstrates how to add and delete worksheets, enter and format text and numbers, select cells, cut/copy/paste data, adjust row and column sizes, and more. The document is a tutorial for getting started with the basic Excel interface and functions.

The document discusses the history and classification of vitamins. It explains that vitamins are essential nutrients that the body needs in small amounts. There are 13 essential vitamins that are classified as either fat-soluble or water-soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in fatty tissues while water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water and must be replaced regularly. The document also outlines several vitamin deficiencies and their associated health problems as well as benefits of vitamins.
This chapter discusses the fundamentals of the Internet and World Wide Web. It describes how the Internet originated as ARPANET in 1969 and has evolved into a worldwide collection of interconnected networks. The World Wide Web is a collection of electronic documents that can be accessed via the Internet using browsers. The chapter also covers other Internet technologies and services such as email, instant messaging, file transfer, and netiquette.
This document discusses different types of genetic abnormalities including numerical changes and structural changes. It describes five types of structural abnormalities: translocations, deletions, insertions, inversions, and duplications. Translocations involve exchanging segments between two chromosomes. Deletions involve a missing portion of a chromosome. Duplications involve duplicating a portion of a chromosome. Insertions involve a broken off segment attaching to another chromosome. Inversions artificially produce chromosome breaks and inverted reattachments without changing chromosome morphology.
Introduction To computer (discovery of computer)Athar Mutahari
This document discusses operating systems and embedded operating systems. It provides details about various desktop operating systems like Windows, Mac OS X, UNIX/Linux. It also discusses network operating systems for servers and embedded operating systems used in devices like smartphones, PDAs and others. Key topics covered include functions of operating systems, booting process, memory management, scheduling jobs, Windows versions comparison, features of Windows Vista, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems. Embedded operating systems discussed include Windows Embedded CE, Palm OS, Blackberry OS, Embedded Linux and Symbian OS.
The document discusses the global consensus sequence development and analysis of conserved domains in the NS3 protein of dengue virus. It describes how over 125 sequences of the NS3 protein from the four dengue virus serotypes were aligned and analyzed. Key conserved domains that encode the serine protease and helicase functions were identified. The phylogenetic tree analysis grouped the sequences by serotype. Suggestions for potential antiviral peptides targeting conserved motifs in these domains to disrupt protein functions and reduce viral replication are provided.
