important area of sociology.
Sociologists and social thinkers engage
themselves to find the answers.

Sociologists use the concept of social stratification to
describe inequalities that exist between individuals
and groups within human societies.
Individuals and groups enjoy differential (unequal)
access to the resources based on their position in
society.
In simple words it is a ranking system between
individuals and groups based on wealth, prestige,
power, gender and religious affiliation etc.
