KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Saved over $10 million in mainframe capital expenditures, at MCI, by defining and initiating a competitive bid
process for DASD storage resulting in positive financial outlook. Reduced scheduled outages resulted from the
increased planning.
Reduced the yearly mainframe software expenditure, at Atos and Fujitsu, by about $800k for IBM mainframe
software and SAS by over $250,000 as the result of analyzing of the licenses and eliminating unneeded software
licenses.
Reduced monthly software license feed by $15,000 -- $20,000 by implementing IBM’s Mobile Workload pricing.
Improved the mainframe computer usage billing process,at Fujitsu, to provide the finance department the data one
day earlier than the previous process with the expectation of improving cash flow. The process improvements also
implemented restart points, reducing the time required when reprocessing the data is necessary.

customers. Analyzed and recommended to management hardware and software upgrades to the computer systems as
needs changed. Prepared and distributed computer utilization reports for internal and external customers on a regular and
ad-hoc basis.
Developed the hardware and software strategy for a complete technology upgrade at the data center to reduce cost and
maximize utilization.
Managed the Peregrine mainframe software asset management database. Produced financial reports predicting future
expenditures to allow for better cash management.
Acquired and improved the mainframe computer billing system to reduce the time to produce bills for the mainframe
customers resulting in improve cash flow.
