Michael Lazerow analyzed Facebook wall posts from 200 large brands over two weeks. He found that posts should be short, avoid URL shorteners, use simple keywords like "event" and "winner" that generate likes and comments, and ask questions using words like "where" and "when" to drive engagement. Posts performed best on Thursdays and Fridays and outside normal business hours. Different industries tended to see higher engagement with certain types of posts.
