Mobile Fair Diary (MFD) allows housing fair attendees to create personalized digital notes using a smartphone. Users can take photos, audio dictations, and text notes and attach them to visual codes placed around the fair. The notes are uploaded to a website for browsing, organizing, and sharing on a PC. A field trial of MFD was conducted at a national Finnish housing fair with over 300 participants. Analysis found notes were evenly distributed across houses with an average of 78 notes per user including photos, audio clips, and text. User feedback indicated great enthusiasm for the service and its ability to easily capture and later access information from the housing fair.
