This document discusses the reconstruction and dating of paleochannels in the Mesopotamian floodplain. There are two main problems addressed: 1) reconstruction - how to find paleochannels, and 2) dating - how to sort paleochannels by age. Various remote sensing techniques and historical maps are used to trace and identify paleochannels. Radiocarbon dating of organic materials and association with archaeological sites are then used to date the identified paleochannels. Groundtruthing is also performed to verify findings. Analysis of samples allows distinction between paleochannels of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers.

The Bathurst Metallogenic map

The Scarlift 15 acid mine drainage treatment system was installed to help remove dissolved iron and sulfate from mine discharge water entering Shamokin Creek. On the day sampled, much of the mine flow was bypassing full treatment. Iron removal occurred through oxidation in the bypass water. In the fully-treated water, the system raised pH and alkalinity as intended, but its effect on sulfate removal could not be verified due to equipment issues. While not all water received full treatment, the system was effectively treating a portion of the discharge per its design to improve water quality in Shamokin Creek.

This document summarizes a study that used QuickBird satellite imagery to map benthic habitats in the Caribbean Sea. In situ depth and bottom type data were collected using a towed sensor platform. Atmospheric correction and bathymetry estimation techniques were applied to the satellite data. Bottom albedo was derived and used in a maximum likelihood classification to map seagrass, sand, coral, and deep water habitats. The classification achieved an overall accuracy of 81%. The high resolution QuickBird data helped discriminate basic benthic communities and has potential for monitoring coral reef health by detecting structural changes over time.
TGS Russia- Evolution of the Greater Kara Sea
This document outlines a proposed study of the geological evolution of the Greater Kara Sea region in Russia. The study area includes the Kara Sea and surrounding areas. The region contains two large sedimentary basins, the North Kara and South Kara basins, which were formed at different times in the geologic past. Currently, the geological history of the area is not well understood due to a lack of deep wells and limited existing data. The proposed study aims to compile existing data and conduct new laboratory analyses of rock samples to better understand the tectonic evolution, sedimentary history, and thermal history of the basins over time. This document presents the results of a study analyzing Late Triassic channel systems in the Loppa High region of the southwestern Barents Sea using 3D seismic data. The author interprets nine channel systems within the Upper Snadd Formation between depths of -1088ms to -1152ms. Three channel grids are examined in detail and show evidence of successive channel migration and preservation of channel-belt deposits. Criteria for distinguishing between mud-filled and sand-filled channel types are presented based on seismic amplitude, reflectivity, shape, and sedimentary features.

TGS East Russian Arctic- Geology and Hydrocarbon Systems
TGS has completed the first phase of a project studying the geology and hydrocarbon systems of the East Russian Arctic. The project involved field studies and sample collection along the coastal areas of the Laptev Sea to better understand the petroleum geology of offshore sedimentary basins in the region. Over 1,000 samples were collected and will undergo laboratory analysis to provide new insights into topics like the tectonic evolution of basins, petroleum systems, source rocks, and depositional environments in this underexplored region. The results will be reported and used to improve assessments of hydrocarbon potential for the Siberian Arctic shelf. Future phases will expand fieldwork to other areas.

1. Detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology of Oligocene-Miocene strata from the Adriatic foredeep reveals shifts in provenance that correlate to the tectonic evolution of the Central Alps. Specifically, a shift from Caledonian to Tertiary source areas between 26-23 Ma reflects the westward movement of the Adriatic indenter and change in erosional focus.
2. Younger proximal samples show increased Tertiary zircon abundances compared to older samples, related to unroofing of the Bergell pluton. Distal samples show varying abundances but shifts also correlate to changes in Alpine erosional patterns.

RESULTS OF THE APPLICATION OF DIRECT-PROSPECTING TECHNOLOGY OF SATELLITE IMAG...
The results of reconnaissance studies within the Shakal and Halabja exploration blocks in Kurdistan are presented. Experimental studies were carried out using a mobile direct-prospecting technology, including modified methods of frequency-resonance processing and decoding of satellite images and photo images, vertical electric resonance scanning of the cross-section and a method of integral assessment of the oil and gas potential of large prospecting blocks and license areas. At the local survey site within the Shakal block, responses from oil, condensate, phosphorus and limestone were recorded. The lower boundary of the limestones was established at a depth of 4676 m. By scanning the cross-section from 2770 m, step 1 cm, the responses of oil from limestones were obtained from the intervals: 1) 2771-2794 m, 2) 2795.3-2815.45 m, 3) 2834.40-2854 m. During processing the image of the entire Halabja block, signals were recorded at the frequencies of oil, condensate, phosphorus gas, bacteria, sodium chloride and dolomite. At the 57 km hydrocarbon synthesis boundary, responses from oil, condensate and gas were recorded. When scanning the cross-section from 480 m to 4 km, step 50 cm, responses from oil were obtained from two intervals: 1) 1140-1200 m, and 2) 3310-3340 m. Within the local fragment of the block by scanning up to 5 km with a step of 1 m responses of oil from salt were recorded from the intervals: 1) 295-350 m, 2) 1190-1260 m, 3) 2015-2320 m). The response intervals within the 1st and 3rd horizons have been refined by scanning with a step of 5 cm. The results of experimental studies show that practical application of direct-prospecting methods and technologies will accelerate and optimize the exploration process for oil and gas.

One of the most spectacular signatures of global “Oceanic Anoxic Events” (OAEs) of the Cretaceous was deposited at the Cenomanian–Turonian Boundary. This global oceanic anoxic event is also referred to as Cenomanian–Turonian Boundary Event (CTBE). This event is marked by the deposition of finely laminated organic carbon rich sediments deposited under oxygen depleted conditions. The main goal of the present research is to get a better understanding of the marine biota characterizing the oceanic anoxic event in the Calabar Flank. Core samples obtained from two (2) study wells in the Calabar Flank, southeastern Nigeria were utilized for this study and standard biostratigraphic sample preparation/ separation and analytical approaches were applied in the course of the study. The Cenomanian – Turonian age was assigned based on age diagnostic foraminifera (Hedbergella crassa, Heterohelix moremani, Heterohelix planata, Heterohelix reussi, Hedbergella delrioensis, Hedbergella planispira) and age diagnostic palynomorphs (Steevesipollenites binodosus, Ephedripites sp, Leiotriletes sp, Classopollis sp, Classopollis classoides, Classopollis annulatus, Ephedripites jansonii, Cretacaeiporites mulleri, Cretacaeiporites polygonalis, Galeacornea clavis and Triorites africaensis). The sediments of the study wells were deposited in a range of environments from non-marine to mid neritic and the recovered foraminifera are characterized by the presence of abundant but dwarfed planktic forms and low diversity of dwarfed arenaceous forms at some intervals which strongly support deposition in an oxygen depleted environment.

The Geological Survey of New South Wales (GSNSW) is undertaking a statewide mineral potential mapping project driven by the need to provide justifiable land use planning advice to key government stakeholders and to highlight the exploration potential of the state’s major mineral systems at a regional scale. Following delivery of mineral potential data packages for the Southern New England Orogen in 2017, and the Curnamona Province and Delamerian Thomson Orogen in 2018, the eastern Lachlan Orogen was selected as the next area for a review of key mineral systems and mineral potential. The study area covers the Lachlan Orogen east of the Gilmore Fault and the study mapped the mineral potential for porphyry Cu–Au, polymetallic skarn, Kanimblan orogenic Au, Tabberabberan orogenic Au, and VAMS mineral systems.

This document summarizes a study of Late Barremian ammonites and organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts from Boljetin Hill in eastern Serbia. Ammonites from three suborders were described including new species. The ammonite fauna indicates deposition in the Tethyan realm. Organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts confirm a Late Barremian age. The ammonite succession ranges from the Toxancyloceras vandenheckei Zone to the lower part of the Imerites giraudi Zone. The results of the application of mobile direct-prospecting technology of frequency-resonance processing and interpretation of satellite images and photographs at the sites of hydrogen production, drilling wells, as well as within areas of hydrogen degassing in various regions are presented. Experimental reconnaissance studies were carried out to study the features of the deep structure of the hydrogen degassing areas.
The developed mobile and low-cost technology include modified methods of satellite images and photo-images frequency-resonance processing and decoding, vertical electric-resonance scanning of a cross-section, as well as a method of integrated assessment of oil and gas potential of large prospecting blocks and license areas. Separate methods of direct-prospecting technology are based on the principles of the “substance” paradigm of geophysical research, the essence of which is searching for a specific substance - oil, gas, gas condensate, etc.
The materials of instrumental measurements indicate that in regions of basalt volcano's location with roots at different depths, signals at hydrogen frequencies are almost always recorded. When scanning the cross-section, responses from hydrogen are recorded from the upper edges of basaltic volcanoes to their roots. It can be assumed that basaltic volcanoes are a kind of channel through which hydrogen migrates to the upper horizons of the cross-section and further into the atmosphere. Within many basaltic volcanoes at a depth of 68 km, deep (living) water is synthesized. Hydrogen-rich water is curative and can be used for wellness purposes. All surveyed zones of longevity on Earth are located within basalt volcanoes, in which water synthesized at a depth of 68 km migrates to the surface and is used for water supply. Hydrogen deposits can be formed by basaltic volcanoes in adjacent sealed reservoirs. Within some survey areas, responses at hydrogen frequencies from limestones, dolomites, and marls were recorded at shallow depths. Hydrogen deposits formed near basalt volcanoes in different types of reservoirs can be discovered and localized during areal exploration using proven methods. Direct-prospecting technology can also be used to study reservoirs in crystalline rocks (basalts including). Detailed studies and wells drilling in promising areas can be planned and carried out for hydrogen and living water at the same time.
The result of the investigation indicates the advisability of using direct-prospecting methods of frequency-resonance processing of satellite images to detect zones of hydrogen accumulation in areas of basalt volcanoes location, as well as in areas of hydrogen degassing. The use of mobile and low-cost technology will significantly speed up the exploration process for hydrogen, as well as reduce the financial costs for its implementation.
NMR water exploration & presentation of water project technology
The technology will be able to remotely detect and assess groundwater accumulation and flows anywhere on Earth to a depth of 5 km directly.
At a time of deep recession in the global industry and staff reduction, only NMR technology will allow companies to maintain their exploration and prospecting programs scheduled for 2020 at a symbolic price.
( NMR technology provides acquisition of absolute field data with efficiency 2.5-3.0 times higher than indirect seismic data and at a price ten times lower than 2D/3D seismic data).
And most importantly, we are operating remotely, we are not afraid of the coronavirus pandemic all over the world!!!
We will search for reserves and water flows remotely with high accuracy anywhere in the world:
- the identification and contouring of accumulations and flows of underground fresh water,
- mapping the contours;
- obtaining the number of horizons and the depth of their occurrence;
- determining thickness aquifers and reservoir rocks,
- Determination of promising drilling points.
The NMR technology is based on the phenomenon of resonance, which allows direct detection and contouring of accumulations and flows, like the MRI scanning in medicine, which allows seeing human body problems at once.

1) An autonomous underwater vehicle was used to survey areas near and far from sewage discharge points in Palma, Spain to evaluate the impact.
2) Samples taken near discharges showed cyanobacteria and signs of pollution while areas further had healthy seagrass ecosystems.

Conodont
Christian Heinrich Pander first described conodonts in 1859, originally thinking they were small fish teeth. Later hypotheses suggested they came from various worm, mollusk, and arthropod groups. By the 1970s, the prevailing hypotheses were that conodonts were related to polychaete worms or chordates. The study examines Late Devonian to Early Carboniferous conodonts from deepwater deposits in the Komi Science Center region. Abstract
In 1986, the State of California posted a fish consumption advisory for Clearlake, a large,
freshwater lake located 80 miles north of San Francisco, because of mercury contamination. The
abandoned Sulphur Bank Mercury Mine on the eastern shore of Clearlake is the suspected source of
the mercury. Herman Impoundment, the now flooded open pit of the Sulphur Bank Mercury Mine, is
separated from Clearlake by a dam composed of waste rock removed from the open pit. Hydrological
and geochemical studies indicated that water is flowing from the open pit through the waste rock
dam into Clearlake. However, an accurate map of flow pathways through the waste rock dam was
needed for planning groundwater flow intervention. Results from an airborne EM conductivity survey
flown over the mine site and adjacent areas suggest the probable flow paths taken by the highly
conductive Herman Impoundment water through the waste rock dam. The airborne data were then used
to target areas for ground-based EM conductivity surveys with a Geonics EM34-3XL instrument. The
higher-resolution results of the ground-based survey corroborated the findings of the airborne
survey. This information will allow groundwater-flow intervention efforts to be concentrated within
small areas of the waste rock
dam.

The author interprets nine channel systems within the Upper Snadd Formation between depths of -1088ms to -1152ms. TGS East Russian Arctic- Geology and Hydrocarbon Systems
TGS has completed the first phase of a project studying the geology and hydrocarbon systems of the East Russian Arctic. The project involved field studies and sample collection along the coastal areas of the Laptev Sea to better understand the petroleum geology of offshore sedimentary basins in the region. Over 1,000 samples were collected and will undergo laboratory analysis to provide new insights into topics like the tectonic evolution of basins, petroleum systems, source rocks, and depositional environments in this underexplored region. The results will be reported and used to improve assessments of hydrocarbon potential for the Siberian Arctic shelf. Future phases will expand fieldwork to other areas.

1. Detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology of Oligocene-Miocene strata from the Adriatic foredeep reveals shifts in provenance that correlate to the tectonic evolution of the Central Alps. Specifically, a shift from Caledonian to Tertiary source areas between 26-23 Ma reflects the westward movement of the Adriatic indenter and change in erosional focus.
2. Younger proximal samples show increased Tertiary zircon abundances compared to older samples, related to unroofing of the Bergell pluton. Distal samples show varying abundances but shifts also correlate to changes in Alpine erosional patterns.

RESULTS OF THE APPLICATION OF DIRECT-PROSPECTING TECHNOLOGY OF SATELLITE IMAG...
The results of reconnaissance studies within the Shakal and Halabja exploration blocks in Kurdistan are presented. Experimental studies were carried out using a mobile direct-prospecting technology, including modified methods of frequency-resonance processing and decoding of satellite images and photo images, vertical electric resonance scanning of the cross-section and a method of integral assessment of the oil and gas potential of large prospecting blocks and license areas. At the local survey site within the Shakal block, responses from oil, condensate, phosphorus and limestone were recorded. The lower boundary of the limestones was established at a depth of 4676 m. By scanning the cross-section from 2770 m, step 1 cm, the responses of oil from limestones were obtained from the intervals: 1) 2771-2794 m, 2) 2795.3-2815.45 m, 3) 2834.40-2854 m. During processing the image of the entire Halabja block, signals were recorded at the frequencies of oil, condensate, phosphorus gas, bacteria, sodium chloride and dolomite. At the 57 km hydrocarbon synthesis boundary, responses from oil, condensate and gas were recorded. When scanning the cross-section from 480 m to 4 km, step 50 cm, responses from oil were obtained from two intervals: 1) 1140-1200 m, and 2) 3310-3340 m. Within the local fragment of the block by scanning up to 5 km with a step of 1 m responses of oil from salt were recorded from the intervals: 1) 295-350 m, 2) 1190-1260 m, 3) 2015-2320 m). The response intervals within the 1st and 3rd horizons have been refined by scanning with a step of 5 cm. The results of experimental studies show that practical application of direct-prospecting methods and technologies will accelerate and optimize the exploration process for oil and gas.

One of the most spectacular signatures of global “Oceanic Anoxic Events” (OAEs) of the Cretaceous was deposited at the Cenomanian–Turonian Boundary. This global oceanic anoxic event is also referred to as Cenomanian–Turonian Boundary Event (CTBE). This event is marked by the deposition of finely laminated organic carbon rich sediments deposited under oxygen depleted conditions. The main goal of the present research is to get a better understanding of the marine biota characterizing the oceanic anoxic event in the Calabar Flank. Core samples obtained from two (2) study wells in the Calabar Flank, southeastern Nigeria were utilized for this study and standard biostratigraphic sample preparation/ separation and analytical approaches were applied in the course of the study. The Cenomanian – Turonian age was assigned based on age diagnostic foraminifera (Hedbergella crassa, Heterohelix moremani, Heterohelix planata, Heterohelix reussi, Hedbergella delrioensis, Hedbergella planispira) and age diagnostic palynomorphs (Steevesipollenites binodosus, Ephedripites sp, Leiotriletes sp, Classopollis sp, Classopollis classoides, Classopollis annulatus, Ephedripites jansonii, Cretacaeiporites mulleri, Cretacaeiporites polygonalis, Galeacornea clavis and Triorites africaensis). The sediments of the study wells were deposited in a range of environments from non-marine to mid neritic and the recovered foraminifera are characterized by the presence of abundant but dwarfed planktic forms and low diversity of dwarfed arenaceous forms at some intervals which strongly support deposition in an oxygen depleted environment.

The Geological Survey of New South Wales (GSNSW) is undertaking a statewide mineral potential mapping project driven by the need to provide justifiable land use planning advice to key government stakeholders and to highlight the exploration potential of the state’s major mineral systems at a regional scale. Following delivery of mineral potential data packages for the Southern New England Orogen in 2017, and the Curnamona Province and Delamerian Thomson Orogen in 2018, the eastern Lachlan Orogen was selected as the next area for a review of key mineral systems and mineral potential. The study area covers the Lachlan Orogen east of the Gilmore Fault and the study mapped the mineral potential for porphyry Cu–Au, polymetallic skarn, Kanimblan orogenic Au, Tabberabberan orogenic Au, and VAMS mineral systems.

This document summarizes a study of Late Barremian ammonites and organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts from Boljetin Hill in eastern Serbia. Ammonites from three suborders were described including new species. The ammonite fauna indicates deposition in the Tethyan realm. Organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts confirm a Late Barremian age. The ammonite succession ranges from the Toxancyloceras vandenheckei Zone to the lower part of the Imerites giraudi Zone. The results of the application of mobile direct-prospecting technology of frequency-resonance processing and interpretation of satellite images and photographs at the sites of hydrogen production, drilling wells, as well as within areas of hydrogen degassing in various regions are presented. Experimental reconnaissance studies were carried out to study the features of the deep structure of the hydrogen degassing areas.
The developed mobile and low-cost technology include modified methods of satellite images and photo-images frequency-resonance processing and decoding, vertical electric-resonance scanning of a cross-section, as well as a method of integrated assessment of oil and gas potential of large prospecting blocks and license areas. Separate methods of direct-prospecting technology are based on the principles of the “substance” paradigm of geophysical research, the essence of which is searching for a specific substance - oil, gas, gas condensate, etc.
The materials of instrumental measurements indicate that in regions of basalt volcano's location with roots at different depths, signals at hydrogen frequencies are almost always recorded. When scanning the cross-section, responses from hydrogen are recorded from the upper edges of basaltic volcanoes to their roots. It can be assumed that basaltic volcanoes are a kind of channel through which hydrogen migrates to the upper horizons of the cross-section and further into the atmosphere. Within many basaltic volcanoes at a depth of 68 km, deep (living) water is synthesized. Hydrogen-rich water is curative and can be used for wellness purposes. All surveyed zones of longevity on Earth are located within basalt volcanoes, in which water synthesized at a depth of 68 km migrates to the surface and is used for water supply. Hydrogen deposits can be formed by basaltic volcanoes in adjacent sealed reservoirs. Within some survey areas, responses at hydrogen frequencies from limestones, dolomites, and marls were recorded at shallow depths. Hydrogen deposits formed near basalt volcanoes in different types of reservoirs can be discovered and localized during areal exploration using proven methods. Direct-prospecting technology can also be used to study reservoirs in crystalline rocks (basalts including). Detailed studies and wells drilling in promising areas can be planned and carried out for hydrogen and living water at the same time.
The result of the investigation indicates the advisability of using direct-prospecting methods of frequency-resonance processing of satellite images to detect zones of hydrogen accumulation in areas of basalt volcanoes location, as well as in areas of hydrogen degassing. The use of mobile and low-cost technology will significantly speed up the exploration process for hydrogen, as well as reduce the financial costs for its implementation.
NMR water exploration & presentation of water project technology
The technology will be able to remotely detect and assess groundwater accumulation and flows anywhere on Earth to a depth of 5 km directly.
At a time of deep recession in the global industry and staff reduction, only NMR technology will allow companies to maintain their exploration and prospecting programs scheduled for 2020 at a symbolic price.
( NMR technology provides acquisition of absolute field data with efficiency 2.5-3.0 times higher than indirect seismic data and at a price ten times lower than 2D/3D seismic data).
And most importantly, we are operating remotely, we are not afraid of the coronavirus pandemic all over the world!!!
We will search for reserves and water flows remotely with high accuracy anywhere in the world:
- the identification and contouring of accumulations and flows of underground fresh water,
- mapping the contours;
- obtaining the number of horizons and the depth of their occurrence;
- determining thickness aquifers and reservoir rocks,
- Determination of promising drilling points.
The NMR technology is based on the phenomenon of resonance, which allows direct detection and contouring of accumulations and flows, like the MRI scanning in medicine, which allows seeing human body problems at once.

Christian Heinrich Pander first described conodonts in 1859, originally thinking they were small fish teeth. Later hypotheses suggested they came from various worm, mollusk, and arthropod groups. By the 1970s, the prevailing hypotheses were that conodonts were related to polychaete worms or chordates. Abstract
In 1986, the State of California posted a fish consumption advisory for Clearlake, a large,
freshwater lake located 80 miles north of San Francisco, because of mercury contamination. The
abandoned Sulphur Bank Mercury Mine on the eastern shore of Clearlake is the suspected source of
the mercury. Herman Impoundment, the now flooded open pit of the Sulphur Bank Mercury Mine, is
separated from Clearlake by a dam composed of waste rock removed from the open pit. Hydrological
and geochemical studies indicated that water is flowing from the open pit through the waste rock
dam into Clearlake. However, an accurate map of flow pathways through the waste rock dam was
needed for planning groundwater flow intervention. Results from an airborne EM conductivity survey
flown over the mine site and adjacent areas suggest the probable flow paths taken by the highly
conductive Herman Impoundment water through the waste rock dam. The airborne data were then used
to target areas for ground-based EM conductivity surveys with a Geonics EM34-3XL instrument. The
higher-resolution results of the ground-based survey corroborated the findings of the airborne
survey. This information will allow groundwater-flow intervention efforts to be concentrated within
small areas of the waste rock
dam.

This document discusses a research project analyzing lake deposits from the Upper Vinalopó Valley in southeast Spain to examine paleoenvironmental contexts during periods of abrupt climate change from the Mesolithic to Bronze Age. Multi-proxy analysis of a sediment core from Villena Lake is being used to determine past climatic/environmental events and compare them to changes in human signatures. Preliminary results of pollen, phytoliths, and geochemical analysis of the core are presented. The research aims to improve understanding of how environmental stress may have impacted prehistoric communities and the transition to agriculture in eastern Iberia.

This study investigated the aquifer characteristics of the Lafia sub-basin in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Hydrogeological surveys using electrical resistivity probes revealed predominately sandstone lithology down to 220 feet with argillites dominating below. The upper aquifer was found to be Lafia sandstone including the top sand of the Awqu Geological Formation comprising grey shales and occasional sandstone and limestone. Borehole drilling showed predominately fine to coarse sand and clay lithology down to 220 feet. The mineralization is low-grade and consists primarily of coffinite dispersed in conglomeratic sandstone layers. Though additional prospecting occurred, the deposits were deemed uneconomic due to small size, low grades, and finely dispersed nature of the uranium minerals. Dairy products are found to be an ideal vehicle for probiotic incorporation. It has been seen that the encapsulated microbial cells show higher viability than the free cells in different processing and storage conditions as well as against bile salts in the gut. They make the food functional when incorporated, without affecting the product sensory characteristics.

Water polluted by dyestuffs compounds is a global threat to health and the environment; accordingly, we prepared a green novel sorbent chemical and Physical system from an algae, chitosan and chitosan nanoparticle and impregnated with algae with chitosan nanocomposite for the sorption of Malachite green dye from water. The algae with chitosan nanocomposite by a simple method and used as a recyclable and effective adsorbent for the removal of malachite green dye from aqueous solutions. Algae, chitosan, chitosan nanoparticle and algae with chitosan nanocomposite were characterized using different physicochemical methods. The functional groups and chemical compounds found in algae, chitosan, chitosan algae, chitosan nanoparticle, and chitosan nanoparticle with algae were identified using FTIR, SEM, and TGADTA/DTG techniques. The optimal adsorption conditions, different dosages, pH and Temperature the amount of algae with chitosan nanocomposite were determined. At optimized conditions and the batch equilibrium studies more than 99% of the dye was removed. The adsorption process data matched well kinetics showed that the reaction order for dye varied with pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order. Furthermore, the maximum adsorption capacity of the algae with chitosan nanocomposite toward malachite green dye reached as high as 15.5mg/g, respectively. Finally, multiple times reusing of algae with chitosan nanocomposite and removing dye from a real wastewater has made it a promising and attractive option for further practical applications.

Evolving Lifecycles with High Resolution Site Characterization (HRSC) and 3-D...
The incorporation of a 3DCSM and completion of HRSC provided a tool for enhanced, data-driven, decisions to support a change in remediation closure strategies. Currently, an approved pilot study has been obtained to shut-down the remediation systems (ISCO, P&T) and conduct a hydraulic study under non-pumping conditions. A separate micro-biological bench scale treatability study was competed that yielded positive results for an emerging innovative technology. As a result, a field pilot study has commenced with results expected in nine-twelve months. With the results of the hydraulic study, field pilot studies and an updated risk assessment leading site monitoring optimization cost lifecycle savings upwards of $15MM towards an alternatively evolved best available technology remediation closure strategy.

Optimizing Post Remediation Groundwater Performance with Enhanced Microbiolog...
Results of geophysics and pneumatic injection pilot tests during 2003 – 2007 yielded significant positive results for injection delivery design and contaminant mass treatment, resulting in permanent shut-down of an existing groundwater Pump & Treat system.
Accessible source areas were subsequently removed (2011) by soil excavation and treated with the placement of Emulsified Vegetable Oil EVO and zero-valent iron ZVI to accelerate treatment of impacted groundwater in overburden and weathered fractured bedrock. Post pilot test and post remediation groundwater monitoring has included analyses of CVOCs, organic fatty acids, dissolved gases and QuantArray® -Chlor to quantify key microorganisms (e.g., Dehalococcoides, Dehalobacter, etc.) and functional genes (e.g., vinyl chloride reductase, methane monooxygenase, etc.) to assess potential for reductive dechlorination and aerobic cometabolism of CVOCs.
In 2022, the first commercial application of MetaArray™ was performed at the site. MetaArray™ utilizes statistical analysis, such as principal component analysis and multivariate analysis to provide evidence that reductive dechlorination is active or even that it is slowing. This creates actionable data allowing users to save money by making important site management decisions earlier.
The results of the MetaArray™ analysis’ support vector machine (SVM) identified groundwater monitoring wells with a 80% confidence that were characterized as either Limited for Reductive Decholorination or had a High Reductive Reduction Dechlorination potential. The results of MetaArray™ will be used to further optimize the site’s post remediation monitoring program for monitored natural attenuation.
