3. INTRODUCTION
 Heavy menstrual bleeding previously known
as menorrhagia and menorrhagia is a
menstrual period with excessively heavy flow
 Abnormal uterine bleeding can be caused by
structural abnormalities in the reproductive
tract

Menorrhagia is the medical term for menstrual
period with abnormally heavy or prolonged
bleeding

Menorrhagia is define as excessive menstrual
blood loss which interfere with women physical,
social,emotional or material quality of life
