I used IMovie to mainly aid the editing process of my filmed pieces, this programme made it
easier to organise my short film and create and effective story within the use of transitions and
effects-both visually and sound wise.
I feel that without the use of this programme my short film as a whole, would not be half as
effective as a product as it is now.
I usedYouTube mainly in the research and planning stages of my course work; the availability
of content allowed for me to search for short films and films that aided me in both exploring
the genre and choosing one.
I would also say that this website aided me through the availability to explore different plots so
that I could come up with a creative plot of my own and create something that related both to
the audience and to the idea of the brief.
I used google throughout all the stages apart from the evaluation stage, as it aided in
researching the conventions of genre; so that my film would at least have some of those
conventions within it. Planning was aided through the availability to search through examples
of other film posters and film magazine reviews as I was able to branch out my own ideas for
both the film poster and film magazine review and eventually make two products that would
be done in an innovative way.
Wix was the site I chose to set up a blog on as I felt that this was different and would give a
more organised look than that of other options.
The evaluation stages of the production were aided here as I was able to neatly set out and
present the questions without things becoming too messy for a person to look through-no one
wants something that is cluttered when they are looking through it.
The DSLR Camera’s aided mainly in production of my product as I was able to film high quality footage
that I could both piece together easily and without having to spend numerous amounts of time re-filming.
Without this device, my product would have been a lower quality piece and would have caused production
to take much longer than it did.
ITunes simply aided in production as I was able to take music from iTunes to add to my short film
without much need to continually save different songs to files.
Photoshop aided production of my film poster and film magazine review, it allowed me to edit
pictures how I needed to and use a great deal of different professional things that I otherwise would
not have been able to do on the final pieces of both products.
Word, helped me again in production as I was able to create a simple design for both my film poster
and film magazine review without losing the professional and decent affect of using programs such
as photoshop
