Our group created a music video, print ad, and CD case for an artist. We aimed to make the products suitable for the quirky, vintage genre. The music video included redundant elements typical of the genre, like focusing on the artist's performance and using a rural setting. We also included some unexpected, entropic elements like cut scenes and props. Feedback guided us to improve the video by adding more performance elements. The print and CD designs balanced redundant features drawing in the audience with entropic elements like unusual color combinations. Overall, the products used repetition familiar to the genre while also including differences to engage audiences.
