RESEARCH
Before creating my presentation, I researched online to find similar
products, which their functions could be competition for my Clarity product.
When looking I discovered a low tech memory stick connected up to a scart
lead which would be directly recorded onto. Also Apple TV came up with the
ability to stream TV shows and movies purchased through iTunes.
As part of my research, I hosted a beta of my presentation to a few class
members in order to get feedback on my product and answer any questions
that came up which I can make sure are answered in the final presentation.
They were also in my target audience range meaning I was pitching to a few
who the product is aimed to appeal to.
I also created a questionnaire to send out to a variety of people to gain an
understanding what a public reaction to my product would be like and if it
would be successful or not. Following this I will analyse the results, which
will give me a better judgement on my product and to cater it to the results
that I retrieve.

SURVEY SUMMARY
When looking at my
research, it has been revealed
that over half the subjects use
sky as their main viewing of
TV. I can imagine this is due to
the ability to record TV shows
which is a main function of
what my product is aiming to
be. This will help me to narrow
down what channels I could
possibly include the recording
of on Clarity.
SURVEY SUMMARY
These results helped me
to determine whether it
was worth to create a
product that gives the
user a chance record but
it proves to be of use
with 79% saying that
they do record shows.

Also a high percentage
of the people I asked like
the idea of being able to
stream their shows to
their devices which is
essential selling point to
my product.

People would also rather it being the
simple generic shape rather than
making a design that stands out and
makes a point of itself.
The results of pricing was also quite
an interesting result. The
percentages are tied with 24% opting
to pay £20-£25 and 24% willing to pay
between £44-£49. This shocked me
as I thought most people would
choose just the lowest price possible
but it seems that people will pay the
price for a top quality product.

  • 6. RESEARCH Before creating my presentation, I researched online to find similar products, which their functions could be competition for my Clarity product. When looking I discovered a low tech memory stick connected up to a scart lead which would be directly recorded onto. Also Apple TV came up with the ability to stream TV shows and movies purchased through iTunes. As part of my research, I hosted a beta of my presentation to a few class members in order to get feedback on my product and answer any questions that came up which I can make sure are answered in the final presentation. They were also in my target audience range meaning I was pitching to a few who the product is aimed to appeal to. I also created a questionnaire to send out to a variety of people to gain an understanding what a public reaction to my product would be like and if it would be successful or not.   • 7. SURVEY SUMMARY When looking at my research, it has been revealed that over half the subjects use sky as their main viewing of TV. I can imagine this is due to the ability to record TV shows which is a main function of what my product is aiming to be. This will help me to narrow down what channels I could possibly include the recording of on Clarity.
  • 8. SURVEY SUMMARY These results helped me to determine whether it was worth to create a product that gives the user a chance record but it proves to be of use with 79% saying that they do record shows. Also a high percentage of the people I asked like the idea of being able to stream their shows to their devices which is essential selling point to my product.
  • 9. SURVEY SUMMARY People would also rather it being the simple generic shape rather than making a design that stands out and makes a point of itself. The results of pricing was also quite an interesting result. The percentages are tied with 24% opting to pay £20-£25 and 24% willing to pay between £44-£49. This shocked me as I thought most people would choose just the lowest price possible but it seems that people will pay the price for a top quality product.
